If Hollywood Brown hadn't gotten injured yesterday we probably would have to just cut him. They had like 3 WR's left on the roster so had to get someone.
-
I forgot about all the injuries. I only watched the replay and I turned it off after Jackson gave up that TD to Allen Robinson who's been basically invisible all year
-
So who is better, Stroud or Young?
Jackie Lee replied to Randolph Panther's topic in Carolina Panthers
I didn't realize Stroud doesn't run at all. Like 1 rush this year -
Nov 1st trade deadline, and then you basically do nothing unless there's an injury. Start scouting but that wouldn't have an impact on his job status for next season unless Tepper has some consultants interview him
-
Even in 24 we're gonna have that 4th or 5th for Baker taken away lol. Still gonna stink a little even though the cap space and other draft picks are intact
-
Yeah, Wilson can fug off at least for $4M saved
-
6th in 24' 7th in 25' next draft is 23'
-
Doesn't help with us only having 4 picks next year but it's something
-
We can dump guys like Elf, Damien Wilson, Xavier Woods, and save another $12M or so. Just replace them with different FA's under the new staff to clean house
-
-
Rashad got the same math
-
That $11M in the red is negative cap space, so the $12M we save next year basically gets that to zero. Then we take the $10M we have currently and roll that over= $10M Spotrac already adjusted for the trade and by their cap estimation we're still negative $5M for next year https://www.spotrac.com/nfl/carolina-panthers/cap/2023/
-
-
Yeah if we roll over the $10M we still have this year that's about right
-
His cap hit is almost $22M next year, $12M non guaranteed after we pay the $9.7M bonus. Next year they can cut him and owe nothing, pay him the $12M in his current contract, or extend him. Depends on how he plays and the value of the draft pick given up obviously
-
-
So they're basically paying him $700k and tossing us whatever late pick to try to get their season turned around. Wonder if they'll keep him next year for $12M or just cut bait
-
So $700k saved and probably a later round pick is better than nothin
-
Kyler/Robbie/Kingsbury oof that's gonna be a toxic trio

Jones: Tepper now looking for "a young offensive mind"
Jackie Lee replied to Mr. Scot's topic in Carolina Panthers
Please no Quinn, coulda just kept Rivera if we just end up there -
We've already paid him for 5-6 weeks, It's like $575k someone on Twitter calculated
-
They restructured his contract during the Watson thing so we owe him that bonus money either way. It's the same $9.7M dead cap hit and $12M saved next year whether we cut him or trade him

Titans are getting a new stadium.... Your move Charlotte / NC
Jackie Lee replied to TheBigKat's topic in Carolina Panthers
San Antonio City Council isn't going to sell him the Alamodome. They do just fine with their own events and concerts, I have a hard time seeing them interested in giving Tepper any money so he can build his own place. It would be nice if Cities got away from letting NFL owners own the actual stadiums they play in unless they can afford their own poo
