  1. Aside from the jokes earlier, Pickett and King want Bryce's job and WR should be pretty solid in the preseason depth wise to give them opportunities. Should be a lot more interesting than watching old ass Dalton and not even good in college Plummer.
  2. The last time we actually had some competition in the QB room was under fuging Rhule and Fitterer, hopefully the staff is giving some subtle push without upsetting Tepper. Sucks we get another training camp with no public access so who knows how things actually look unless we get some joint practices where we can follow the other teams media for a couple days.
  3. I kinda wish we hadn't been handed the playoffs last year in a horrible division, the team wouldn't be allowed to push the current narrative looking at regular season stats and that 54 yard 1 int game when everything was in our control
  4. Well Darnold at least had the physical gifts that were worth taking a shot at if you thought you could coach him up mentally. BY is already at his physical ceiling/height. I don't see anyone else really expecting him to be more than a top backup option. Unless we get nervous and massively overpay him I think he should be getting Teddy Bridgewater backup/prove it money from his next team.
  5. And we'd have to figure out a way to eat at least half of the 2027 money
  6. Having Chris Weinke as a coach at GT probably didn't help things lol. I think he did get a good QB coach this offseason though.
  7. Ah yeah the Broncos sent a 1st and 2nd to the Saints for Sean Payton a few years ago. That's probably the best modern comp
  8. Yeah, you could keep Pickett and let him battle it out for the starting job against a rookie since he's been thrown around a bit already. Keeping BY around if they draft someone early would be such a media distraction even if it wasn't an internal one. Although judging by his dad's presence i'm sure it would be a major issue for them
  9. I hope they don't Matt Corral him and only give him like 2 reps at the end of each practice. He's talented but he needs some reps at the NFL level unless they just want him to be a gadget guy
  10. I dunno how you can keep him on the roster as a bridge QB if you draft his replacement in the 1st round and expect things not to be super awkward. At the same time if he blow it this year nobody is going to trade for that $25M contract so if he bombs we're in a bit of a pickle.
  11. If he is stinking it up this year hopefully the fans will take it into their own and hands and boo him off the field, or just stop showing up to games altogether. The GM and HC are clearly not going to pull the plug on their own. Hopefully the other guys show some promise in preseason while they coddle BY on the bench.
  12. If we really do use Haynes King in a Taysom Hill role some are predicting, I don't see how you could give an extension to BY if you have to use a whole extra roster spot on a guy just to run qb sneaks and the like.
  13. Not saying they will succeed but Pickett and King are definitely hungrier for NFL jobs than Dalton at this point. Not saying we couldn't have done a better job adding to the qb room but at least it got younger.
  14. Well at least they filled the qb room with some guys that want to compete instead of Dalton just cashing a check.
  15. The Bryce Young spam accounts after that draft pick probably tripped the breakers lol.
  16. If this new center can pull the way he did in college I won't be worried about the run blocking on the edges.
  17. And he was banging two different reporters at the same time
  18. Kilgore was there too, I expected that group to be gone by late 3rd/early 4th
  19. Hmm King doesn't look too bad, with him and Pickett in camp and preseason Bryce getting a little kick in the butt to show he's at least obviously better than someone we can have for basically free. Dalton and Plummer were like the worst possible way to enter last years camp with BY already being paid and small and laid back.
  20. I like this guy, center fielder we've needed but not afraid to get in the box and hit someone, and can put on another 10-15 pounds and still play his style
  21. Ohio guy and he says he likes the film room, I'm sure Luke will like that and get in his ear and show him a few things that even coaches don't know how to teach
  22. I like how he can pull though, we've been missing that. Our guards are a little heavy for that style but he has a Jason Kelce, Kalil style, the guards can hold down the fort while he pushes out on those types of plays. He's basically those guys builds. Bull Rush in a pass set yeah may be an issue but he's got big guards to help with that
