The Perspective of a 6-Foot Quarterback (old Steve Young article)

Bryce will never rush/scramble like Steve Young, he was more like the Vick prototype -

Yeah I was surprised he admitted that pre-draft. Pretty scary thought. That also means he's hoping a DB or LB he can't see doesn't end up there before his receiver -
Young scored in the 98th percentile on the S2 Cognition test, which could be what sealed the deal for Panthers owner David Tepper. The last time the Panthers had the No. 1 pick, they used it on a 6-5, 248-pound quarterback from Auburn. Young’s playing weight figures to be about 50 pounds lighter than Cam Newton’s. But the Panthers are seemingly convinced Young can make a huge impact. https://theathletic.com/4443193/2023/04/24/panthers-mock-draft-2/?source=emp_shared_article

Their name doesn't exactly roll off the tongue

Apparently everyone has forgotten that Levis would have been a day 3 pick last year if he declared for the draft. He stayed in school, actually played worse than the previous year and now is magically worth a 1st round pick?

Mormon with a weird mom vs the ultimate jock for a new revenge of the nerds movie, who would I pick...

Probably something rhule wouldn't allow them to do if I had to guess

It's weird that instead of working on getting better mentally he seems to have freaked out and decided to get more swole and do these stupid kinda vids showing off his jock ability.

Yeah, most of this doctor stuff is talking about flexibility and conditioning over getting ripped in the weight room. If the debate was if one is going to be sacked by a 300 lb lineman, I would assume you would rather have the 210 guy than the 180 guy take that hit.

Yeah that's my #1 concern about if we ever get the full story on all this QB turbulence. It'll take someone retiring or getting fired and writing a book to really know what's gone on in the last few years. I would definitely read Cams if he eventually writes one

The Real Narrative of the S2 score leak...
Jackie Lee replied to rayzor's topic in Carolina Panthers
Yeah i've been laying back because of the handful of people going to the redundant extremes the last couple weeks. The ignore function isn't even beneficiary at the moment lol. "Oh whats this thread?, 5 pages of people responding to 2 people I ignore?" -
Yeah, curious if training camp and all the autograph signing stuff opens back up this year. He had security walking around training camp not letting people film his amazing play calls lol.

The Real Narrative of the S2 score leak...

Every interview with that guy seems to question the validity and longevity of their whole thing. It could become a vital part of drafting or teams might dump it in a few years. Only half the league has bought in at this point and it's been around like 8 years. If Purdy didn't ball out in the QB friendly 9er's offense last year I don't think it would be getting half as much attention as it has gotten this year. Fields had supposedly the highest QB score on record at the time but his main criticism is his processing. -
He did way more damage than just sucking at coaching during games. And it sounds like he demanded the power to make all those shitty decisions, from Keep Pounding, to social media team, etc
