It was a freshman backup that he didn't recruit. The starter Van Wells was questionable all week and they went with the freshman as a game day decision

PFF I believe had him at 3.12 seconds time to throw. Im guessing that's counting him scrambling around the backfield not seeing a wide open TMJ on the first field goal drive among other scrambly things

I don't get the whole sign a 6'6" backup to your practice squad when your 5'10" qb might have to sit out. Seems like it would be weird with consistency with the center snaps and rb handoffs

Yeah I have a feeling the next all 22 breakdowns probably released tmrw will not be pretty. Maybe the Saints D was really that good but the tv playback with the ability to pause and rewind already isn't good

Yeha I got no problem with Shaq I just didn't think there was a major drop off. Or maybe the Offense and CB's are so bad LB somehow isn't an eye sore lol

Im rewatching the TV copy and sorry but Bryce is missing some reads, and/or not seeing open guys on his scrambles. The all 22 is going to be interesting

He went down in the 1st quarter. D was gassed either way by the 4th considering the lopsided time of possession

It also doesn't include YPA, which Bryce is averaging 4.2 yards so without more data you could argue he's been accurate on throwing to wide open check downs. If they made a similar chart of pass attempts 10+ yards this would look completely different

It's not even accounting for anyone open that he's not seeing or anything like that. It's just going off the decisions he's made to throw. Don't even have the All 22 break downs yet so it's hard to say if he was even making the right reads based on the tv copy

They really need to get something going in the running game to pull off some play action. All this vanilla shotgun stuff is going nowhere. Clock/timeout management was a joke last night as well. Killed our own momentum
