The whole run the ball bs goes out the window the second we get behind two scores. I hope Canales has more up his sleeve than a run first mentality and hoping the defense balls out. Yeah he's younger but basically immediately mentioned how he's not an offensive guru so that's super encouraging lol -
The Beast is out. Heres the WR rankings. Ladd and XL spots are interesting
-
Curious why they haven't added a veteran qb3 like Canales said he would prefer. Maybe hoping some qb's will be cut after the draft because the current FA market is straight trash. I'd personally take a guy in the 7th
-
Yeah not understanding some people who want vertical guys in the draft either. Just gonna be burning calories for nothing, Safeties aren't gonna be fooled by it to abandon the middle of the field.

"The Panthers had the NFL’s most underrated offseason"
Jackie Lee replied to rayzor's topic in Carolina Panthers
"they want to run the rock while giving Young the ability to play point guard." AKA we traded up for a game manager and this is the one narrow pathway to something resembling an NFL offense. Two scores down and this philosophy is out the window -
My fear was every NFL game would look like Bryce vs Texas in 2022, and they all pretty much did. And CJ vs Georgia was the real Stroud but for some reason no one in our office could identify who was the best option at QB when facing real pressure and putting the team on their back
-
So you don't want the coach to make it hard on Bryce in PRESEASON? So he just gets coddled all camp long and then gets a rude awakening Week 1? Glad you're not the coach
-
So they put him in tough situations and he couldn't figure it out? So they probably said he's not getting it let's just play it safe and rely on defense. Cam would welcome the challenge and find a way to make it work despite being surrounded by jags on offense. Do you want the coach to take it easy on Bryce in camp or something? Confused
-
Oh nice disrespect the mentally challenged and dip out
-
Strongly disagree. You need real first hand trial and error experience to figure it out
-
I'd rather my rookie qb sling it and learn from their mistakes than throw the ball out of bounds to play it safe
-
We literally scored 0 points in the last two games how is that better than earlier in the season?
-
He was literally scared to throw the ball to open guys multiples times through the season. He had lots of chances where he just threw the ball out of bounds. That happened in real life. Those choices change the trajectory of a game and determines how a defense plays against a qb.
-
I"m assuming if he was making a concerted effort to improve himself or workout/throw with his teammates it would have been on social media or Panthers would have written a fluff piece on it. He looks the same and the only thing on social is him going to a few charity events and youth football camps and basketball games
-
Did you see him attempt to slide last year? Horrific. Cam got killed for it btw and fixed it
-
Last time I checked he needs to improve every aspect of his game play and physical conditioning. I bet he also didn't take any baseball sliding lessons during the offseason
