    tbh, until I see the Panthers actually sign a Veteran/Bridge/Backup that ISN'T Sam, I am calling Bullsh*t on Lombardi. Show me Brissett being signed here or Garrapolo or whomever....THEN I'll believe that they've moved on from Darnold.

    Well if that's the case, the Panthers might as well re-sign Sam as that would accomplish the "accumulating losses" thing. (unless of course, that 4-2 record last season wasn't a mirage)

    No need to be salty, bruh. I was just confused as to why you mentioned he was 3 years out of High School and then listed Cam and the other's years in college. It made it sound like ARich never went to College or something.

    Here's my thought process on this whole situation (and that's IF Newton's usual speculation comes to fruition) : If Sam Darnold is signed, that tells me they are looking to trade up for Bryce or CJ, have Sam show them the ropes for 5-6 games and put them in If they Sign Derek Carr, AR-15 will be drafted and sit for 2 years because Carr won't be wanting to back up anyone.

    Someone said that when he did that ill-fated Podcast appearance back then, he mentioned he would be cool with being a backup. I'm guessing he would kinda dig doing the Josh McCown role which would be ironic since Josh would be the QBs coach.

    yeah...that's what I actually meant. lol But seriously, IF (big IF) they sign him to be a backup or Bridge, he will get every opportunity to start because we would not have a ready-to-go QB unless we want to do to our drafted rookie QB what the Jets did to Sam as a rookie and that is toss him to the wolves.

    no. He hired this all-star coaching staff to make the best FOOTBALL DECISIONS. If they feel that Sam is the best football decision, he really can't b*tch about it as this is the job he hired them to do and poured his money into.
