Chris Simms: People have caught on to the Panthers offense.
glenwo2 replied to Tbe's topic in Carolina Panthers
What's there to reclaim when he never even saw the field once? I view it as him not being damaged to the point of being David Carr'd by virtue of him holding a clipboard / being on the PS. -

Actually, I'm serious : Call up James Morgan. This season is shot to hell, and both PJ and Sam suck donkey-dong. Might as well see what this guy has if he sucks just as much or not. -
I remember when Sam actually threw to the checkdown when he first started playing Starting QB for us. Ever since CMC went down, so did Sam's Football IQ apparently.

I'm going to have a little fun with this debacle going forward.....(see the new Poll I'm putting up).
-
Might as well do this since it's become as guaranteed as the Sun rising.

Rapaport: Panthers/ Tepper out of Watson deal

I have a feeling that If Darnold ever develops into a semi-competent QB, it won't be with us. But chances are, he remains the same as he is now no matter where he ends up. -
Sam Darnold will be Jimmy Clausen 2.0

especially what the Jets and Jags do with their draft picks? I'm concerned at what WE are doing with the draft picks we currently have, not what we don't have. -

Cocaine. -
I am still astounded that there still are Sam Defenders at this point. Anyone who knows me (kungfool..err, foo), knew I came here because Sam came here. I thought a change of scenery would do wonders for him and yet...the more things change, the more they stay the same for him. I was hopeful even during his struggles following CMAC going down, that he would have that particular game where the proverbial switch in his mind is flipped and he turns into the QB many thought he'd be coming out of college. Instead, there was a "Suck HARDER" switch that was flipped and here we are. I am tired. Just damn tired of defending Sam. The loss to the Giants (that I thought Sam could have a shot at winning and gaining back some confidence) was the final straw for me. Some here think I will leave when Sam does which is dumb as sh*t but you all have your own wrong opinions so you do you.....I, on the other hand, look forward to suffering along with the rest of you huddlers going forward (praying for better days).

I should know, considering he blew the Jets chances at getting Trevor Lawrence. -

Since it seems like the Draft is the only way to go now to get another QB, whom would you prefer? Howell? Rattler? Willis? -

WELP.... The draft it is, then. Malik Willis, please. -
But but but.....he's terrible like some other posters here claim.

Mid-tier talent is better than Sh*t-tier talent(Sam).

None of the above but I'm your daddy, mr. unfunny comedian.

FIXED for accuracy.

Or a change in position if he wants to remain in the league. Since he likes to run a lot, maybe a TE or RB? I mean...he is still a very good athlete so he might be able to do it (plus he won't be throwing any INTs so that's always a plus. lol )
-
But let me ask you : What team out there would even WANT him at this point to even be a backup? I think he's on a one-way trip out of the league entirely at this rate unless he changes positions or something 'cause being NFL QB may be a bit too much for him to handle apparently.
-
He should've been shipped with Teddy over to Denver.
-
That's not what was implied, I don't think. I believe that Sam believes(and rightly so) that he would get sacked the moment he slows down his drop back. Basically, he's ready to run from the moment the ball is snapped and that's not conducive to Good QB'ing.
