Panthers WRs had the 6th most catchable drops by a team the last decade
glenwo2 replied to ncfan's topic in Carolina Panthers
I don't believe you are blind either. I do think you have your mind made up on things and that's okay. I'm not here to convince you I am right nor should you try to convince me that you're right. It's called having our own opinions on things and believing they're the correct ones. Besides, it gives us something to do before watching more of the Carnage next Sunday. Maybe we should do a Prediction on the number of times Robby drops a pass and see who wins? LOL! -

That's kind of odd to say because the offense came right back and got a TD(Chuba's TD run) immediately after the "D"-fense, in one of its few moments that it actually played defense, forced a turnover. If you're saying that the offense still couldn't recover mentally from Sam's INT even after coming right back and getting a TD to even take the lead, then there are bigger problems than just "Sam's Fault" going on here. -
How extensively will the offense need to be rebuilt this off-season?

Agreed. WE NEED O-LINEMEN BADLY. -
What do you mean by this? I said not to concern ourselves with what another team from another conference is doing as it does not affect us one way or the other...and you latch on to a throwaway sentence I said regarding the Jets doing "Jets things" to make that odd comment. Okay then. Now I wish I didn't put that throwaway statement there as you would have nothing to say.

Nope. The excuse is that their best defender was out and they played Prevent. Seems that whenever Sam makes a comeback, it's only because the opposing "D" did something wrong and not anything Sam did right. -
Agreed. This year the Defense is better but this past game, the "D" was missing from -EFENSE.

So out of the 41 passes he threw, 25 of them were catchable. That's what I got out of this. And he definitely had more than 8 drops...come on now. -
What is this thread even?

Remember that play where one of the Vikings players busted through the middle easily and grabbed Sam's facemask for a penalty? Gee...I wonder who let that happen?

This has to be said: Cam Newton is vaccinated and available

Well...at least you're not mocking me this time, CPsinceday1. -
Maybe he just needs to go out there and NOT follow Brady's "advice" and just throw it to an open man down the field or something? I really think Brady had no gameplan to play without CMC. In fact, his entire playbook had CMC on EVERY PAGE, I bet....

We gave up 571 yards to the Minnesota Vikings

Keep on with the kicking and the screaming. Numbers will always stare you dead in the face with its simplicity and TRUTH. Not my problem if you refuse to acknowledge it. Have a good one. -

At the end of the day, This is a dumb thread. -
That pass to DJ on the final drive was something else, though. It's almost like he put a ton of air on it with all his strength and it just carried far enough to wear it landed exactly where DJ was. And he didn't even look like he had his feet set either with a Defender barreling down on him.

I couldn't give two sh*ts how high a draft pick the Jets get. They're not even in our CONFERENCE, let alone our division. They'll probably select another player that will be misused and out of the league or something(it's their M.O.) We have a lot more things to worry about than the stinking Jets.

Does anyone have any faith we beat the Giants?
glenwo2 replied to hepcat's topic in Carolina Panthers
Fixed it for you. -
You were never impressed even from the day he was traded for, though. This is not exactly groundbreaking news around here. Even when he ran in 2 TDs, you crapped on him because of your antiquated belief that QBs should only be throwing TD passes, not running them in. Man...you must've hated Cam then back in the day.
-
And I feel sorry for him because it's going to eventually end up with him holding onto a clipboard after next season for another team (and that's if they don't give him the boot after this season). Some of it is his own doing but a good chunk of it isn't and having a Competent O-Line would've helped him immensely. I said it before the season started that it's now or never for Sam as an NFL Starting QB..... ....the way things are going, it's going to be "never" and that really sucks. Sucks for him and it sucks for the entire team and US.
-
If that drive was nothing more than Sam ignoring Brady's "playcalling", then I hope he continues to ignore him going forward.

In a draft where the QB class looks weak as f*ck. Better get the best O-Lineman there. -
Yep. It's self-evident with the most recent posts. Pretty much. I guess knee-jerk'ness is what being a Fan is all about. lol

@CRAbelieves we should jettison Sam because "Why should we give him another year?"
