ACTUALLY we didn't know that Fields would fall in the draft. The Sam Darnold deal was done because of that uncertainty. Had they rolled the dice and not done the deal, then Fields would've been here. It's just a case of bad luck.

Worst part is that we know Fitterer will trade down if it's #1.

Dude...no one here is going to give you the boot despite certain someone's who calls us "Non-panthers fans" or so-called "Darnold fan-boys". He had his chance to change the narrative of what everyone was saying about him and all he did was further strengthen that narrative. It's time to move on from Sam and focus on what's best for the Carolina Panthers.

I know hindsight is hindsight but man....if the Panthers brass would've just took a chance and wait for the Draft, we would've had fields. Yes, he hasn't played well but AT LEAST we'd have a young QB that is NOT going to be covered in NY Jets STINK from the get-go.

He did it to the Jets to prevent them from drafting Trevor Lawrence and he'll do it to us to prevent us from getting a high pick when he does the OPPOSITE of what is needed. Yeah I think Rhule's done with him. But...the problem is that we have no viable backup to keep him on the bench as PJ is as bad(or rather worse) than him. Could've had Minshew for a song-and-a-dance(basically) and they passed on that to spare Sam's feelings or some sh*t.

Meh. The Jets will more than likely fug up that pick and select someone who will be bagging groceries by the end of their rookie contract. It's how they roll. He f*cking deserved it. I was one of his biggest supporters when he arrived here, thinking that all he needed was to be away from the Jets. Well I'm a big enough man to admit : I. WAS. WRONG. Sam Darnold is definitely *NOT* it. It's a very massive disappointment to me that he got such an incredible CHANCE to be successful here but he just cannot get out of his own way. I think the Jets truly broke him after all and it's a shame. Now we're stuck with basically NO QB for the next 10 games.

No, it's NOT too early. This game revealed everything we needed to know about this team's chances this year.
