  1. I'm going to make a fearless prediction : This series will end at 5 games (and it won't be NY that advances). NY only has two things in its favor : Its PowerPlay and Shesterkin Their 5v5 is Terribad. Also, we will have Vitek Vanacek who, while not Shesterkin, has proven he can step up and be big-time in goal. All in all, the Devils will run (skate) them out of the building just about every game. BTW, i don't care about their "experience". Their team speed is ass and the Devils will exploit it.
  2. My Devils only won because Blackwood was pulled and replaced by Akira Schmid who didn't allow any more goals. Good job winning tonight. I said it would be a tough game for you guys but you buckled down and got it done. Now Good luck against uh....Is it the Islanders or the Panthers? I forget.
  3. Thoughts? Nah. I do have a prediction for my Devils tonight with this news :
  4. As thrilled as someone getting a Colonoscopy.
  5. Don't depend on my Devils to lose. Canes should just focus on winning their game tonight against a Panthers team that is now going to go balls-to-the-wall in trying to avoid facing that absolute WAGON called the Boston Bruins in the first round. So hopefully they don't make the mistake of thinking that just 'cause the Panthers clinched yesterday, that they have nothing to play for. This is going to be a pretty tough game.
  6. Yep. Now it all comes to one game. Canes are still in control of their own destiny here. They win, the Division is theirs. They don't, the Division goes to NJ (if they beat Washington). You guys face off against a tough Panthers team Devils face off against a Washington team that got beat down by Boston and I doubt they'll be in a happy mood come Thursday.
  7. Hey uh...guys? Remember when i said the Devils/Sabres game would be a nail-biter? Yeah about that :
  8. NJ is also fighting to clinch Home Ice against the Rags as well so it's not exactly a throwaway game for them. This is going to be a game that is a nail-biter.
  9. Definitely not sleeping on them although it does help that they will be on the 2nd half of a back-to-back when the Devils face them tonight.
  10. Yep. Yet the Canes are doing all they can to NOT win it, though. That was a brutal loss to Ottawa. I thought when my Devils lost to the Bruins after the idiotic decision to start Blackwood by Ruff, that the Division was yours for the taking. The Canes blew that opportunity last night so now with more winnable games for my Devils these final two games, the door has been swung back open after being slammed shut as far as the Division goes. Canes will probably have to win the rest of their games to win the Division outright as I don't see the Devils losing to the Sabres or Washington.
  11. So each team is trying to out-suck each other with Coaching decisions. A game of "Can you top that?". Lovely.
  12. Lindy Ruff with an absolutely boneheaded decision to go with Blackwood. From what I heard, this was a "scheduled" start for him. And I was like "The hell??" This isn't baseball. This is crunch time. You go with your best players!!! Blackwood is NOT your best player. This was an absolute GIFT by Ruff to Carolina. Carolina was like "Here's the Division, NJ. Enjoy!" But NJ was like "Nah. We're good." So infuriating on my end. You guys better take advantage of Ruff's idiocy and wrap up the Division.
  13. Goal #2 was BRUTAL. Take a look at this : https://www.nhl.com/video/zachas-2nd-goal-of-game/t-336692560/c-16500452 Don't know what the hell Blackwood was doing here.
  14. Okay....I think it's now safe to say the Canes are in the driver's seat for the Division. That butt-kicking my Devils got from Winnipeg combined with the Canes winning their game pretty much sealed it for you guys. That said, however, Florida just overtook the Pens (who got THEIR asses beat by my Devils last night) in the WC spot. I don't know what team you guys would prefer facing from the WC teams but I can't imagine Florida would be at the top of your lists.
  15. Say...uhh.... That was not a good loss for you guys last night. Losing in Regulation to the Wings with seconds remaining OOF! And combine that with my Devils beating the Rags in regulation? Things are starting to tighten up a little. I said I conceded the division but if this keeps up, that might change. Canes are still in control, though....but this latest loss does them no favors.
  16. I've already conceded the Division to Carolina. What a lousy loss to the Isles but it's not like my Devils didn't have their chances. Oh well. Better get ready for Devils/Rags from my end. You guys may be facing the Pens, I think.
  17. If Blackwood plays, yes. But Vitek has been more than just serviceable. We expected him to be just average when we signed him, and he had been way more than that this season. Remember that any goaltender can go on a Hot streak in the playoffs, as well. So long as Vitek is doing his thing, the Devils have a greater shot of winning and going as far in the playoffs as they can. Though i don't see any team in the East getting by Boston this year.
  18. Barely scraping by Ottawa? Well with Mackenzie Blackwood in net, I would call that a minor miracle. He's been so god-awful for years. Vitek and Schmid are the goaltenders who helped us get to this point. And how are the Rags a bigger concern? They'll be facing us more than likely unless you lose the division to us.
  19. No comments about the Devils last night against Ottawa? '= Despite my Devils own head coach apparently trying to sabotage them (or maybe Lindy Ruff had a bout of "Senile"-ism) with putting the awful Mackenzie Blackwood in net instead of Vitek, they still won the game in spite of that and clinched at 100 points. 2 points behind the Canes with Carolina having 2 games in hand. Canes better keep winning or the Division could get stolen right from under their noses.
  20. I still would ask Tepper who he likes and pick the opposite. I still don't trust him.
  21. I think the Texans aren't going to do much of anything except wait to see who we draft, then take the other QB and call it a day. Texans are also in a great position here aside from us. Both teams are going to come away from the draft with Potential-Franchise QBs.
