The letdown is disappointing but it's good for the future

You mean beating them, right? (ie muh Draft Position...) -
Moral “players love Wilks” victory next week!!!

So we get to play Spoiler then? I mean...I would love nothing better than for the Cats to crush any remaining remote chance of the Saints getting in.... ...but that said, I guess I should be rooting for a loss because DRAFT POSITION. "Woo f'cking hoo". -
Am I missing something? Wilks is actually going to sue? What kind of chickensh-t crap is this?
-
This was an unbelievably GUTLESS call by Wilks. 4th and a foot and you punt when you have a freight train like Foreman who can crash in there and move the pile OR even Sam who is pretty good at QB Sneaking for a yard. This is the moment where Wilks lost any shot of being the Head Coach of this team.

Considering how there are many teams out there that are QB-starved, he may turn out to be the most sought-after QB in the Free Agent market. Go figure. lol -

That sounds too rich for anyone's blood, tbh. But here's another Question for you : After what we've seen, is it beneficial to keep Sam as a backup/Bridge or dump him? -

Have you noticed many of the posters here's remarks regarding this next game? They're more concerned with Draft position (as if we're going to win the offseason or something) than anything else. If they could, they would have the Panthers just forfeit the game and move right on into the offseason without losing draft position. Of course that's not going to happen and I can safely say the team will 100% next week. I mean....Sam himself is basically auditioning for a job (he's made a great accounting of himself thus far) either with us or another team so I wouldn't be shocked to see him play well next game. -
Of those 4, surprisingly, Sam was the least of the Panthers problems this season. He also had his best game offensively today which against any other team, would've resulted in a win. Unfortunately our Defense or rather -EFENSE couldn't stop a nosebleed today. I would Jettison whomever the DC was along with Wilks. Sam, I would at least consider keeping around just as a solid backup or bridge.

Could the team get penalized if they purposely tanked? I don't know how the rules regarding that (if there are any) in the NFL work. Not like they're going to sit their starters or anything.... -
What the hell is wrong with some of you? I mean okay....they lost to the Bucs and we shouldn't be throwing up high-five's for having a f-cking pulse after having none with Rhule but at the end of the day, looking at "silver linings" is the only goddamn thing we got. So what the f*ck else you people want??? I don't get it. Oh wait....You are all upset about Draft position....It's always about Draft position with many of you. Never about "Let's root for the team to win", right? Draft position THESE NUTS, okay? christ....

Not sure what else you wanted from him. He wasn't the one who allowed the Bucs to score 30 points. Yeah he had that one pick (which was overshadowed by 3 TD passes for his first 300+ yard passing game of the season). Anyway, he proved what some of us already knew : He'd make one hell of a backup or Bridge QB until we can get either Corral or another young QB in there to be the Franchise. He'd be a nice safety valve for this team to be somewhat competitive while we continue the search. -

One of two thing will happen today. Either Sam proves his detractors correct or he he proves his supporters correct. I don't give a s--t one way or the other....OUR RUNNING GAME *MUST* BE ON POINT IF WE ARE TO WIN! -

Carr would definitely be the quintessential roll-of-the-dice signing if the Panthers go for it. And it's a big roll as it could handcuff the team Financially should we not roll favorably. Hopefully Sam proves his good steady play is sustainable going forward so that he can be some kind of Bridge QB for us while we continue to throw darts at the QB board in every draft.
