Falcons sign Josh Rosen to compete for backup spot.

This is Sam Darnold's future if he fails here. That's my thoughts on this. End of the line, Sammy. Either get it done or GTFO. -
Don't understand what the Coach's fascination with Slye is. Does he have compromising photos or something?

Yahoo Sports simulates the 2021 season via Madden

I'll take that result any day of the week. Of course, simulations are simulations...but damn, I love THAT simulation. -

So let's be a robot mimicking those who discuss other QB's then. It works both ways also. But I get what you're saying. Two Words : "PROVE IT!" That is what many here are thinking in terms of Sam. (Personally, I think he will prove that he's got what it takes...hope I'm right or I'm going to feel stupid after all the defending I have been doing)

Speaking of which : Aaron Rodgers vs. Sam Darnold :

Yeah. Like wanting PJ to be a starting QB.

Aside from Crowder, who would be the 4th (or 5th) best receiver on this team, where is this "talent" you are speaking of? I watched and saw a washed up Leveon Bell, and a who's-who of who-the-hell-is-that-guy players that sound like they belong in the Practice Squad or something. I mean I was "kind of" familiar with Demaryius Thomas but he was nothing to write home about. And at times, Sam made a virtual unknown Ryan Griffin at TE look like he was Tony Gonzalez or something. And that bodes well with him and Dan Arnold becoming a thing. Like I asked : Where is this "talent" that was surrounding him 'cause I sure as hell did not see any. oh and btw, I'm sure the "decent talent" tag was helped because Robbie was there.

This thread has become really entertaining.

Hmmm...If Mr. Discount Double-Check is available, I'd be down with that. But he'd be the only Vet I'd want over trying to go for a high draft pick QB. Some here want Watson but I don't think he'll ever escape that dark cloud he has on him even if (big IF) he resolves his legal issues.

"Sounds familiar..." - Coming from a former Jets fan who watched Sam play for that team the first three years

Monday practice and presser notes.. CMAC may not play Friday
glenwo2 replied to Captain Morgan's topic in Carolina Panthers
Well at least you deleted yours. Wish LinvilleGorge and others would do the same but then they'd have to delete their entire posts. -
If worse comes to worse, I'd rather they lock in for a top pick as I hear the QB class for 2022 will have a ton of options to choose from. Getting a Vet will only keep the team in 8-8 (or in this case, 9-8 since it's now a 17-game season) purgatory.

This whole Joint-Practice thing is new so we'll see how that affects teams going forward. I'm sure if it doesn't work, then Preseason games will once again be taken more seriously going forward. Anyway, I'd rather not lose him to friggin' games that don't matter like the Jets team did. -
Okay....I'm looking at the vids and I'm seeing him go through his progressions (quickly as the O-Line was sh-t but anyway). I do not see this bullsh-t "Locking onto a receiver" like some were whining about. What the hell, people? @NiceDreams

Isn't that a good thing that a QB is smart enough to throw the ball away instead of forcing it and throwing an INT? I mean...that's the exact sort of thing Sam went through with the Jets and that's because he knew there was literally nothing there for him on offense to throw to so he had to play "HERO BALL" 100% of the time. The "Processing problems", as you call them, were more "Jets have zero talent" problems than anything between Sam's ears. I look for Sam to not have those "Processing Problems" while on this team. If he does, then you and all others can go beat your chests with the "I told you so's" and can get in line to get your medals or some sh-t. But I have a feeling he won't.

Hopefully he'll sling it to Horn instead of his target. sh-t. Forgot about Slye.

OOF! U Right.

Biggest news of this thread : Starters will get a Half(maybe a little less) this time around. Which I guess is better than nothing(which is what we got last game). So we'll have a much better look at how the team will look like with Sam. CMC sitting isn't a problem at all. KEEP HIM HEALTHY. He is such an important player for this team, it's not even funny. -
^^^ And speaking of "Personal Feelings" : I hope Sam throws for 5 TDs (with CMC running for 2 or 3) and buries that sh-tty franchise.
-
Uhh....you're not the only one who watched every single game of his young career, you know? What you saw as an "inability to process info and get through his progressions quickly", I saw as him trying to find one lone player to make a throw to because the rest of the team was GARBAGE!! Also, I saw him as trying to play "Hero Ball" because of said team being GARBAGE!!! If they would've surrounded him with actual TALENT, he wouldn't have been forced to play way over his head at that point of his career. You can't make chicken salad out of chicken s--t, as the saying goes. And as far as I'm concerned, It sounded more like you hope Sam will struggle against the Jets (which I guess is understandable since you are still a Jets fan hanging around the Panthers board) rather than hope for him to have success.
-
Oh really? This is your post before : Doesn't sound like someone who "truly wants nothing but success for the young man", now does it?
