BrewerHouseBeer replied to Zod's topic in Carolina Panthers
Time for a new era to begin in Carolina. Let's just hope it's not short. -
Thomas Davis on Bryce Young and the Panthers Draft
BrewerHouseBeer replied to poundaway's topic in Carolina Panthers
Not to derail the thread, but how's Ten58? I'm thinking about a Charlotte trip next week, with a few friends, and may go for dinner. Anyone checked it out yet? We are going brewery and restaurant hopping. -
Josh Klein on the recent Bryce “smoke”
BrewerHouseBeer replied to ncfan's topic in Carolina Panthers
I just cant imagine a scenario where we trade up to #1 to draft, literally the smallest QB in NFL history. Just look at Lamar, Tua, and Kyler. None of them can stay healthy. All 3 are amazing QBs, but at the end of the day, if your missing 6 games per season how valuable are you, really? I think young will probably be better than all 3 of them. He will also probably suffer the same issues as them. Either way, if we pick him, I'm on board and he immediately becomes my guy. I just think CJ is the best pick, but I'm no scout or GM. -
Brisket or Heineke, would work. I dont think either would get much attention in FA. Im sure it will be well after the draft before they give up though. They are going to see who comes out of FA and the draft still needing a QB before they take backup/mentor money.
-
If we cant make the trade for #1 and only #1. I would rather take a chance with him with our late 2nd than Levis or AR at #9 or even a trade up for either of them. Obviously we would have to sign a veteran FA QB. Maybe trade for Mills from Houston. Use #9 for a WR, TE, or Edge.
-
This off season we need to draft a play maker WR or TE at #9. Roll with Corral and a Vet like Mills from Houston. Corral didn't get an opportunity, and we spent a 2nd rd pick on him. Might as well see what he can do. There will not be an elite QB at 9, and we would need to give up a lot to move ahead of everyone who wants one. If we are going to roll the dice and reach for a QB at 9, we might as well just try Corral instead.

Looks great! Ill be checking it out, for sure.

Draft a QB or Re-Up with Darnold?
BrewerHouseBeer replied to bLACKpANTHER's topic in Carolina Panthers
If we win the South, we aint getting a round 1 QB. Probably would even cost too much to move up. Like next years 1st as well. Might as well draft best available at that point. Lets get another weapon on offense or maybe another edge rusher or DT. We need to see what Corral has. Might as well try to sign Darnold for backup money. If he wants more let him walk. Go into the season with it being Corral's job to loose. -
Official 2022 Carolina Panthers Schedule Thread
BrewerHouseBeer replied to Zod's topic in Carolina Panthers
I think I'm done with 1pm games early in the season. It's just too damn hot to watch a poo show. Our games should be at 4pm at least. -
Just give me at least one BoA primetime game. Preferably Pittsburgh, but any really. I'm going to Pittsburgh regardless only other game(s) i will attend this season are night games. Don't have any tailgate time for 1pm games. Hate 1pm games.

Post Mortem on the Watson Trade (from Albert Breer)
BrewerHouseBeer replied to Mr. Scot's topic in Carolina Panthers
I think he knew the Panthers were desperate and he and Houston were using us to drive up the demand. -

I'm calling BS on most of this article. He went to the team that threw the most money at him and it's probably just that simple. You want to leave Houston because it's a poorly run franchise, so you decide to go to Cleveland?- 47 replies

I didn't even want Watson. I did when the rumors first started last off season, but then when the cases came and all that, i just excepted that it wasn't going to happen. I also feel a lot worse about where the team is at, than I did then. I've just moved on and would rather use our picks to build a proper team. However, the last 2-3 days have done something to me. Reading and following along with you guys has got me really wanting to land him. Of course the Saints and Falcon also being in the running has alot to do with it. I surely don't want him going there. It's been a fun few days, but I'm ready for this thing to end already.

Those 2 crowd hype guys at the stadium. They are super fun and entertaining!

What will you do with your Sundays?
BrewerHouseBeer replied to USDepartmentOfSavagery's topic in Carolina Panthers
Drink and whore myself to an early grave! So basically the same thing, just without also watching football. -
This is why I was completely against drafting him, and why i have never fully bought in to him. Reggie Bush 2.0. Now go get a bruiser RB.

Accidentally hit submit reply on my previous post. Haha *what to expect from Cam. He could be very rusty. He also could be lights out. Thankfully he has WFT, Miami, a bye and ATL to get back in the swing of things. It's awesome though to finally have something to be excited about.
-
This division is still very winnable. Father Time seems to finally be catching up to Brady. They are far from invincible. They also still have to play Buffalo. We could lose to Buffalo and still win the South. That is probably the only game we can afford to lose though. I'm trying to not get too amped up though. We honestly have no idea wha

And to think, i was actually dreading going to the Washington game next weekend. Man, everyone better be inside the stadium for player introductions because Cam will be bringing the house down!

I always get a funny look when I tell people I've been a Panthers fan since 1993. They always correct me and say, you mean 95. Then i say no October 26th 1993 at about 3pm if memory serves me right.

To all the Superior Fans............
BrewerHouseBeer replied to Castavar's topic in Carolina Panthers
I admit, Rhule was the guy I wanted. I believed in him. Seemed like a real football savvy guy. I got a little worried when he hired all College Coaches. Then i got a little worried when he started signing all former players of his. Then i gave a pass last season. First season plus COVID and all that jazz. Got a little puzzled by the Darnold move, but I went along and hoped for the best. At this point I'm about as close as possible to jumping off the Rhule train. At the end of the day, I just want to win and want football to be fun to watch again. Who knows if or when that will be with this franchise. If Rhule can figure it out, awesome, if it's going to be someone else, I guess we are in for a long wait. I see Rhule getting at least 2 more seasons. No matter what. -
Official Panthers at Giants please God let us win GameDay thread
BrewerHouseBeer replied to Zod's topic in Carolina Panthers
The silver lining here is, at least we will get to keep Joe Brady for a few more years....wait? -
Yeah, at this point I'm putting those guys in and letting them develop. No way they could be any worse than what's on the field right now.
-
Let's see how we do against the Cowboys in a couple of weeks first. That will be our first real test. Not that I'm not impressed with the team, but we beat the Jets and a very depleted Saints team with Jameis Winston at QB. If we are competitive and win or keep it extremely close, then i will feel like we are for real playoff contenders. Nearly everyone was expecting us to go 3-0. If we are really playoff contenders then let's go try to get a few pieces to help. I would worry about getting a Kicker first though. A Kicker will win or lose you quite a few NFL games per year.

Same here! I am happy to admit I was wrong about that one.
