  1. Sounds so damn familiar, they’re going to ruin that poor kid. He deserves so much better. I’m so happy and grateful where Sammy landed, wish Justin had the same opportunity.
  2. I feel for him. We had an offensive lineman…a great one, that had a horrible family like that. Good guy, but his family were always around causing trouble, they were always pressuring him to leave school early….which remarkably, was the right choice, he was ready. All they wanted was money. He was drafted #9 in the first round, to…..Dallas. His family ended up barred from the facilities, they stole from him, and he eventually cut them off. Believe he gives them an allotted sum, no more. What a horrible thing to do to your child, if true.
  3. I don’t really follow much NFL, or college players outside of the Domers and some of the BIG10…..some LSU because of Coach O. My ignorance.
  4. Thought I remembered that name. https://www.si.com/nfl/video/2018/08/15/josh-norman-praises-sam-darnold hope he’s ok, doesn’t try to be all macho and come back before he’s ready.
  5. These rookies don’t pick their situation, and it’s a huge jump from college to the pros. These QBs come from teams loaded with talent, and great coaching. I don’t see where pro scouts and FO know one damn thing over a college prospect and his parents, about selecting the right program/coaching to fit their skill set. What’s good for the kid I love, is good for them all. Give them a chance, don’t judge by a few games, they have to take their knocks, may take years to know who they are.
  6. Their fans are brash, loud, vulgar and have bastardized everything related to Mexican food, American culture, and they THINK the country’s greatness revolves around them. The only culture they have, was stolen from my people. Jones is a disgusting, dirty old man that looks like a slug….so white, he’s transparent. Worst of all, in a video that leaked, he was caught being nasty - like his hero in that disgusting Hollywood Access tape - eating like a pig with his mouth full. That’s just the positive things about them.
  7. Jets still haven’t won without Sam…..I feel so good.
  8. We were sitting right above our band, on the side where most of those plays were made. It was awesome, particularly after Chris Godwin scored his last touchdown for Penn State…..motioning to us that it was bedtime and they had put the game away. Lol. Our players said that at the lowest point in the game, Sam told them with his quiet confidence, that they would win the game.
  9. I will never be critical of a rookie QB that is drafted by a sh*tty franchise, ever again. Franchisees that don’t build around a rookie QB BEFORE drafting one, should be stripped from drafting one. Signing veterans only, till they build at least an average offense around a young guy. Don’t pretend that many of these players suck, simply to make you feel good your franchise didn’t draft them.
  10. How many of their defenders were out vs the Panthers?
  11. This is why you don’t draft a QB with a crappy line. I can’t image he would do better with the Panthers Oline.
  12. Haha, Colin has been praising Sam since he was told to watch him on the scout team at USC. The coaches and 1st team defensive players were raving about this young QB and told him to check the kid out. He was blown away. He’s on record advocating for Sam as the starting QB over the two 5* ahead of him, from day one, and has been crazy in love with Sam ever since. Colin knows he’s too obvious, but he finds a way to point out what he clearly sees as Sam’s advantages…..while pointing out what Mayfield lacks in the same category. Note, he only comments on the traits Sam has the upper hand. Size, maturity …he managed to comment on Baker blaming the training staff…
  13. Thank You Lord. Prayers answered…now take care of our young player, Jaycee.
  14. What gave me hope is that Sam was signed to the right franchise, reading that it was the defensive coaches that brought Sams’ film to the attention of Coach Rhule, because they could see his potential. Then they studied all his tape from his USC days thru all three years on the Jets. Several star defensive players that played against him, also praised his skill set. The Panthers defensive coaches, which included the DC, were the ones championing signing him. Doesn’t mean he’s going to succeed, and he will always have those INTs, but he also has the ability to come back from those mistakes. That means more to me, as someone that loves defense, than anything a fan or talking heads think about Sam. Let it play out.
  15. I have a very good memory. I remember when the Jets WR coach had this to say about Sam….couldn’t find the actual video a media guy recorded though, must have been deleted. In the vid, he really emphasized the naughty word, lol,
  16. Colin is hilarious….,now Sam is Tom Hanks! He’s gone off the deep end.
  17. Their clothes fall apart. Other stuff, I have found I can get at a lower price elsewhere…I love a deal, but I also insist on quality I buy their flimsy hoodies because during the summer down here, the air conditioning is on all the time, and I get cold in the house. After the summer, I throw away the hoodies and start over next season. Th quality isn’t even good enough to donate to the thrift store.
  18. Believe me, his vitriol against Mayfield is so great, he’s had to temper his comments. He absolutely believes Sam will be great, he’s a self professed “USC homer”, (even though he makes us cringe) had access to the FB program, coaches, players and practices….he loves Sam as a player and person, because he is polar opposite of the “La La land celebrity” QB.
  19. He and Greenberg loved Sam as a person. I know everyone focuses on QB Darnold, but we just love the fact that he is such a fine young man. During the Draft they were talking about his spotless and genuine character. I know it’s of little importance here, most love the brash, strutting bravado, but I agree with his mama, she’s prouder of the man, then the football player. “Southern California quarterback Sam Darnold backed up all of the hype about him being an exceptional leader and teammate Thursday. Darnold rushed back to Los Angeles from his pre-draft visit Wednesday at Browns headquarters in Berea so he could throw to running back Ronald Jones during his makeup pro day at USC. Jones and wide receiver Deontay Burnett worked out because hamstring injuries prevented them from fully participating in the Trojans’ pro day last month. Former Washington and Utah quarterback Troy Williams threw to Burnett. USC offensive coordinator Tee Martin told the Beacon Journal/Ohio.com that Darnold surprisingly appeared on campus after Jones summoned him on short notice. Widely considered the favorite to be drafted first overall by the Browns on April 26, Darnold had already turned in an impressive throwing session March 21 during USC’s original pro day with Cleveland’s team brass in attendance, but that didn’t stop him from helping Jones. “When you talk about what kind of guy he is, who does that when you have everything to lose and nothing to gain by doing that?” Martin, who also coaches USC’s receivers, said Thursday during a phone interview. “He had a teammate call him out of the blue. It wasn’t something that was planned. “He gets a call yesterday, and he drops everything else. [Darnold said], ‘Yes, I’ll be there for you, man,’ and gets on an airplane, lands in L.A. this morning, comes over at like 6:30 in the morning and throws for Ronald Jones. I mean, it’s crazy. And everyone’s like, ‘What, Sam?’ No one expected him to be here, and he’s here because he said, ‘Hey, man, my teammate called. He needed me.’ So he came. That’s unbelievable.” Jones told L.A. reporters Darnold switched his flight back from Cleveland to ensure he would be at USC on time. “He’s always been the man,” Jones said. Martin said he wasn’t sure why the arrangements for Darnold to participate weren’t set until the last minute, “but it’s a credit to Sam, how unselfish he is and the type of teammate he is.”
  20. His last season at USC (after the Rose Bowl), he lost three of his starting offensive linemen…..then they freakin’ changed the offense he excelled in, which was basically letting Sam do his thing, to this funky “gumbo offense”…so bad, the entire offensive staff was fired a year after he left. So…he played in two different offenses while at USC, along with the Jets mess. He loved USC, but declared for the draft because he knew he wasn’t being coached well. Then the poor kid gets drafted by the Jets. Frying pan into the fire.
  21. Spanish and Mexican cuisine is very different, the Spaniards unlike the English, assimilated and adopted the native foods in Mexico. My daddys’ family is from Chihuahua, they’re tall, blonde, blue eyed; moms’ from Guadalajara which has a heavy French influence. The regional cooking in Mexico are just as diverse as this country. Lot of the Texas Mexicans were poor, had to use the meat available to them for their cooking. We brought free range ranching and the whole cowboy culture to this country. Thank God, my family were proud people, and in spite of the fact that we “looked Anglo”, passed right through Texas and Arizona due to the heavy racism, and ended up in California.
  22. Can’t give you enough flames, pie, beers for that reply. If you’re ever in Spring Hill, TN, or near here…..mi Casa es su Casa. Homemade, from scratch Mexican food.
