  1. He wasn’t available for trade till Wilson’s pro day and health exam, how could the panthers be negotiating for weeks? Jets waited too long, panthers took advantage of other offers dropping off in February because they wouldn’t wait. https://www.si.com/nfl/2021/04/08/inside-story-of-why-jets-traded-darnold-new-qb-search
  2. None of those guys “got him down”. But you have valid concerns. We heard a lot of good things about this Wyoming QB for a year before he declared for the draft. My season ticket and tailgate partner is Jordan Palmers’ FIL. He raved about Josh Allen’s’ potential and skills. Josh didn’t exactly play in a power 5 conference, and certainly didn’t dominate in the conference he played in. He went to the right team that set him up with protection and weapons, let him play his game. Lot of people laughed that Josh would have success in the NFL. Jordan was right.
  3. True, but I think I prefer what JJ Watt, Clowney and Sherman and other NFL defensive players had to say about Sam’s abilities....they actually had to defend against him. But again, who knows if it’s too late. We’ll find out soon, no?
  4. It wasn’t just the Jets fail, he was failed his RS sophomore year at USC. For some unfathomable reason, the OC changed the offensive system his final year to this “gumbo” offense that exposed his worse traits, basically handcuffing his ability to make plays on the fly. Losing four of his starting linemen to the draft didn’t help, also losing JuJu and his outlet, Adoree Jackson on offense. Who knows how much was his circumstances (Sam also didn’t help himself) or simply poor coaching and losing protection and weapons contributed to reckless behavior....he takes more chances than he should when tailing. I think everyone is about to find out how much was Sam, or his circumstances...he now has the coaching and weapons. Hope he’s not broken.
  5. His Season of Sam Apple podcasts were pretty entertaining when he was at USC. He has a rather snarky sense of humor, is a lot more comfortable with his teammates, they loved him. His first interview as a Panther was brutal. There are several good southern food places around USC, it’s a matter of choice if you want that food.
  6. Sam has worked out with Christian in the offseason before, just means more now.
  7. Sorry, got it. You just never know with players in their transition to the NFL. Matt came to USC very highly rated, more so than Ryan - who was a three star. Matt played so well for SC at LT, he beat out Tyron Smith. Dallas’ Tyron Smith, who played RT for us.
  8. I get that Ryan was not the same Ryan that you drafted, but wasn’t he a good player for you most of his career? A good teammate and support your community? He did something right, marrying a Song Girl, lol. Seriously, did he do something really bad to the fans and franchise?
  9. Teddy’s already been there with Sam, he was in the same situation with the Jets. By all accounts, he was a great teammate, and offered support and encouragement before being traded to the Saints. What more does he need to say to Sam?
  10. He was clearly uncomfortable, more than usual. Some of those questions asked were brutal. I’ve seen him much more comfortable interviewed by of the L.A. press. Surprising.
  11. I hope Sam does well for your franchise and fans. Obviously, I see Sam through Cardinal and Gold glasses, so I’m staying away from comments about skill or talent, I can’t be objective. Football is a team sport, so I wish your team well as a whole, not just the QB.
