  1. He’s never going to say ridiculous things, pout like a baby during press conferences, dress like a pimp, or insult a press member due to her gender. You had that already, right? He’s a team player, it will never be just about him or petty vengeance. Publicly.
  2. What a difference from the introductory interview, he looked almost shell-shocked, this is an about-face. He looks more like the Sam I’ve seen through his college years. He’ll never be this charismatic, emotional guy in front of the camera...but he won’t embarrass you either, or throw his coach and teammates under the bus, he’ll take the blame. His personality is more open and different with his teammates, with a dry sense of humor. It’s all about ball now, how he performs.
  3. They also hung out together for college media days, and although you can’t call Stanford and USC “rivals”, there is that connection and respect between the two private schools and their players. The only time I’ve seen PAC12 players helping an opponent on the other team up off the field.
  4. Joking? He’s known him since his college days, and they did practice together while Sam was still a Jet. The Jordan Palmer connection.
  5. There are also QBs who appear reserved, cautious in front of the media, and entirely different in the locker room, a player his teammates respect. QBs have different styles, but achieve the same leadership qualities that make a group of players a team. I’ve never heard, or read, Sam complaining, or even caring what the media writes about him, it was always about his team. If you don’t think playing in the L.A. fishbowl, with ESPN headquarters down the street from SC, and personalities like Colin Cowherd, etc. showing up for practices hasn’t prepared him for not being intimidated by the big stage...don’t know what to tell you. He also played for a University that is the only CFB blue blood on the West coast. They’ve been groom from the moment they step on campus, on how to deal with the media.
  6. Nothing Midwest about him, 100% SoCal blue collar beach kid. Colin is an idiot.
  7. I didn’t see it on his Instagram, the only social media he’s on. Doubt that was him, not his style.
  8. College athletic departments learned this long ago. Make everything a big production with fanfare, announcing the schedule and revealing the season wallpaper to download, posters, and fan days are all part of marketing and generating excitement to purchase merchandise and attend or watch the games. Took the nfl long enough to realize that women also wanted to buy jerseys, hats and have our own “woman cave” that wasn’t pink and frilly. Not surprised that it’s women that know what sells.
  9. Mark also had a very good online. Ferguson and Mangold were both good.
  10. Why oh why does your main color have to be blue.....
  11. There’s a lot of estrogen surges in this thread, can I have some? I see why God gave women both estrogen and testosterone.
  12. Something fun. https://www.instagram.com/p/BVfw7nxllEe/?igshid=1p4ootrzjrer7
  13. You had a valid point....a throw like that, if not in stride, can get your WR injured. But it is only May, these guys need to gel, sometimes it takes more than a few practices.
  14. He is no Cam Newton in that regard, but he can buy you time. Unfortunately, Sam has a chance in Carolina that Cam never had..,just as Wilson gets the chance Sam never had in NY. Just pisses me off that Alijah Vera Tucker was drafted by the jets. Our fanbase wasn’t happy either. All of us are happy for Sam. We hope he lives up to the faith his new coaches and organization has in him. Fight On Sammy, you finally have an honest to goodness pro team behind you.
  15. Believe me, I get it....Sam has proven nothing in the NFL, on the contrary. Sam’s RS freshman year, he was not the starter, even though the buzz from the defensive players and the press about this amazing true freshman QB leading the scout team. The coaches went with the 5* who waited his turn. It was a disaster, the coaches were on the flaming hot seat. In goes Sam, saves the jobs of the coaching staff. That year, they just let him be Sam, didn’t stifle him, didn’t attempt to correct anything. Sam’s final year, they announced a new offensive plan, to “help” Sam’s development, they called it the “gumbo” offense. Disaster. He was looking toward the sidelines every play, not letting him act on what he saw from the opposing defenses. I can assure you, that is one of the reasons he declared early. The entire offensive staff ended up getting fired. The Jets was an even greater nightmare. They had not taken a single offensive player in the first two rounds in 10 years, Olinemen in the later rounds...seriously, who does that? They’re supposed to be a professional football franchise. They pulled the same BS that the SC coaches did. Why do you draft a QB with playmaking backyard FB abilities, and handcuff him? With no weapons he can get the ball to? Sam can be an offensive line’s best friend, because of his mobility. Not saying he’s going to be this amazing elite QB, but at least give him a chance to be who he is, while coaching him up. He has weapons now, good ones, and an elite RB. Just let him do plays like this...again, with Robby.
  16. That’s not a Jets shirt.
  17. With enough practice together, DJ won’t have to slow down a bit to make that catch. Goal to catch that in stride will come during a game.
  18. Did you sign him to draw the Panthers logo? If so, ask for your money back.
  19. Carson Palmer and Andrew Luck might have been better QBs if not for the state of their franchises while they were playing for them. Isn’t the same being said here about Cam?
