Brutal. -
It’s said with lots of love. I love their company, childishness, and their adoration of......me.

This thread demonstrates the ridiculously juvenile nature of the male psyche. Happy Father’s Day, you knuckle dragging Neanderthals.

Sam Darnold comes in at No. 19 in Chris Simms' Quarterback rankings

Joe Montana is my all time favorite QB.....saw him across the field in the Coliseum and South Bend when he played for Notre Dame, and some with the 49ers, and I loved his calm demeanor as opposed to a damn drama queen QB. A stoic gamer, who is a leader, and keep the team focused when the game is on the line, is my kind of guy. one of my favorite moments with Sam was during the Rose Bowl, coming from behind in the 4th quarter and JuJu makes a spectacular catch, started celebrating on the sidelines while under review...Sam told him to cut it out, we were losing and to get his head together. All the players said Sam’s cool and calm confidence. led to that 4th quarter victory. He told the team that they were going to win. To me, a real man keeps it together when there is chaos around them. -

If you hate to lose, think that the only way to have a chance at scoring, is tossing it up in hopes a WR comes down with it, you make stupid mistakes. Football smarts/IQ is vastly different from intellect....God knows, dumb-as-rocks guys like Bradshaw and Marino would not be in the HOF, and Harvard guy Ryan Fitzpatrick would be a shoe In for a gold jacket. *Both TB and DM have both admitted or laughed about the low IQ scores.

This, spot on. He did not have a private QB coach like the majority of QBs in SoCal, he played three sports (very well, D1 level interest) growing up, giving up only baseball in HS because the coach gave him an ultimatum of baseball only. No camps till his senior year, when he had to, the reason his offer list was dominated by academic elites. Terrible coaching in college, particularly his final year, changing to a new offensive system they called the “gumbo offense”, which attempted to fit a square peg in a round hole. He saved that staffs’ jobs in 2016. After he left, the offense was so horrific under that system, the entire offensive staff was fired. The last thing a QB who was a work in progress, was being drafted by a team like the Jets. He has to learn that he can’t make chicken salad out of chicken poo poo. , throw the ball away. Carson Palmer was horrible, INT machine under Hackett...then Pete and a competent QB/OC coach, Norm Chow, changed everything. Carson has said that Sams’ gunslinger mentality reminds him of himself. He is tough, he was offered by CH when he threw for 5 TDs in one half, while the OC from his dream school was standing on the sidelines evaluating him.

Sad way to end a very good career.

Thank God they don’t wear those stupid, white, 60s go-go boots. Beautiful young ladies, they don’t look like hoes, lol.

Former teammates with the Jets, reunited this time with the Panthers. portuguese not too hot, but still similar enough to Spanish.

I like you.

Robby was one of the reasons I was happy you picked up Sam. I just like him. Also Coach Rhule, many of us wanted him at USC, I had hoped the Jets hired him....instead, crazy eyes. No matter what happens, I’m a fan.

Sam didn’t start till the 4th game, so maybe stats would have been better. I was just being silly. -

2016 he threw 31 TDs, 9 INT, 2 rushing TDs and 3 tackles. Want him to do this on the Panthers. -
Son of a teacher. If you listened to Jamis Winston, you’d never know he qualified academically for admission to Stanford - they do not make academic allowances for athletes, or that Kris Kristofferson was a Rhodes Scholar. USC makes academic allowances for athletes, but at the end of the day, they’re surrounded by classmates in the top 10% in their classes. We’ve had some great athletes not make it.
