  1. Once again, another bot take. You guys are making awful comparisons. RGIII never knew when to let a play die. Dude would literally eject himself by trying to somersault 250 lb linebackers. Bryce is smarter than that. Take what the defense gives and protect yourself. Our staff knowing he's a bit undersized will harp on that. I think you guys will try anything to disprove this guy, and frankly, that's what makes me the most optimistic about it. A lot of people doubted Cam. He went off for us. A lot of people were mad at the Luke pick, see how that worked out. It's a lock Bryce is our guy.
  2. Another bot take. Cam was used as a friggin battering Ram for years. I don't foresee that in Bryce's future thankfully
  3. This forum gets on my nerves most days. Sure, we want more but if we get a QB that wins a ship you all would still complain.
  4. I can't wait for the 19 poo stains that thought I was doodie to eat their crow. It was. Is. Always gonna be Bryce.
  5. This is an awful comparison and rules out the well known fact that this game is a team sport. Georgia beat Stroud and Young, with a QB who doesn't even hold a candle to the two. Stetson Bennett played in a system built perfectly around him. No gaps. No holes. You can't use this comparison for that reason alone.
  6. Wouldn't that also protect from those high impact hits you care about too?
  7. Shhh, don't tell them an injury is an injury. It doesn't fit their narrative
  8. Bro Y'all will find any excuse necessary to disregard proven skillset's. Drew Brees was literally known for not being able to see over his OL. Yet him being able to Anticipate will bring him to the hall of Fame. Bryce has the same track record. I could understand if he got his balls batted like baker. Pun intended. But he's shown over and over he can manipulate the pocket and throw guys open. It's not a concern.
  9. That's literally all this was. It's amazing how personal some take an article that was obviously written with little logic. My plan worked. Shows how easily fragile people can become.
  10. It's not an anointing. Reading comprehension buddy. The beginning of the thread started with this is my hot take. It's just an article to get y'all fired up. It worked.
  11. You should probably get some exercise, I hear it helps with blood pressure and boredom. Much better alternative than jerking your monkey. But I understand how that's fulfilling for you.
  12. The thread title did not hit. I repeat. The thread title. Did. Not. Hit.
  13. Y'all are ridiculous sometimes when it comes to Cam. No one is treating that grown man unfairly. I'm treating as an NFL QB. Who likely holds responsibility himself. Also he's my all time favorite Panther. I gave him his props. Chill out.
  14. The dude was solid his whole entire career and in the biggest game of our history has kickoff like that.
  15. Not a lazy take. I wasn't dissecting film just having fun doing a write up. CJs offense was more down the field. And I will give.you that. The man has very good.touch on deep balls. Very good. But I notice quite of a few of those type throws on a one step drop back. Which tells me it's a timing throw and not a read. Many of his throws down field looked that way.
  16. Simmer down killer. Cam had his share of the responsibility too..he's not absolved. We can't sit here and act like he couldn't have gotten on that fumble.
  17. Glad you didn't forget your trousers that'd be embarrassing. But also understandable. The hype is real.
  18. Bc it took twice as many takes to convince yourself he's better than Bryce.
  19. Cheers. I held off as long as I could bud. I just need this MFN draft to happen.
  20. I'll just leave it at this. Those RBs mentioned take far more hits from the biggest players in the game. Your burying yourself with your own argument. The positions don't matter. They all take hits. Anywho, we agree to disagree. Thanks for the banter.
  21. This is my hot take. No disrespect Cameron Jarrell Newton. You changed the lives of us Panther fans. And Delhomme, man you came out of nowhere and put us on the map. But Bryce, wee little ole Bryce. He's destined to be the black cat. Small. Almost too small. Very easily could be bad luck, but there is just something about the kid. He always manages to show up in the right moments. Cam was hit or miss, some games he would take over and some games he would disappear. Almost Weird, when you think about it, with how big of a personality and electrifying he could be. But he fell short in the Superbowl..a common factor between him and Jake. Jake was lightning in a bottle. And while I love the guy, that's all I can say. They let us down. But Bryce was born for this. The last name. The timing, the situation, the boldness of our franchise to go after him. When nothing but doubt surrounding us we throw our entire franchise on the back of a kid who is smaller than the average man. It's almost heroic. The story sounds scripted. But you know what. So was David in his battle vs Goliath. And just like David, Bryce will tackle this beast terrorizing our franchise since it's inception. And he's going to do it in the exact same way David did too. With precision. Davids pinpoint accuracy allowed him to hit Goliath square between his eyes, knocking him to the ground just long enough for David to decapitate him. Bryce has this same killer instinct. And we've never once witnessed this in Charlotte. His ability to read the defense, his commitment to being a student of the game. His pocket awareness. His football IQ is through the roof, and it all shows on tape. I admit, I was skeptical. I bought the pessimistic, and naive point of view that he might not be able to take a hit. But then I realized the kids been playing football his whole life. Made it to the top program in college football, who has had some huge names at the position..and left the school as the greatest QB to ever take a snap at such an iconic school. He's over adversity before. He's taken hits before. And he will again. As the Carolina Panthers New franchise QB. The one that finally takes care of business. Oh yeah, and sorry. Cj just isn't that guy. Watch the film some more. And tell me who improvs more, who throws tds to the second read more. No disrespect to the guy..I wish him well. But if we take him it's a mistake. And I'll hang on that take. And eat my plate of crowpie if it doesn't come to fruition. I'm all in on Bryce.
  22. It is insignificant. The dude has more pocket awareness than any QB we have ever had under center in Carolina. His ability to read a defense and understand situational football and his feel in the pocket renders all of that insignificant. Football is a dangerous game, and size plays a role in the trenches but not in his position as much. Sure being bigger helps, but it doesn't make or break a QB. Go tell Darren Sproles, Barry Sanders, Ladanian Tomlinson, Steve Smith, Bob Sanders, Kyler Murray, Wes Welker, Antoine Winfield they're to small to play in this league. I could go on and on and on with SOOO many more names. And everyone of those players faced off against the very same monsters Bryce Young will. And in an era of football that Bryce will never have to face. Being hyper focused on height and weight and completely disregarding his special skillsets makes me hopeful our new and improved staff aren't as naive. Football is a game of chess, and will power. And if your heart is bigger than the next guy, it doesn't matter how big you are you can find a way to beat him. But hey sure, let's ignore a once in a generation mind at the position cuz he's "small".
  23. He literally just said he was going to be at the line of scrimmage more. He didn't say Linebacker. He didn't say safety or Big Nickel only at the LOS more. Which is exactly where he needs to be.
