I keep seeing people say take Slater if he is available. Multiple reports believe he will be moved to being a guard. Do we want to waste a pick at #8 for a guy who projects at guard for the long term? He is smaller than some and size has been a big topic for tackles this year. If we had a dual threat quarterback I could see that as a choice as he would be quicker as the pocket moves. However Sam or Sam 2.0 ( next years first rounder) aren't specifically considered dual threats. I'd like to see 2nd and 3rd picks to be LT and LG. Trey Smith is my sleeper. Dude is fast and can get to kick out blocks/screens quickly. Opening the door for CMC to do his thing.

Eichenburg without a doubt. Only thing I ever read negative is his short arms. But that was the same rap for these fellas; Joe Thomas, Joe Staley, Jason Peters. Yeah those guys couldn't play it either. The last few LT for Notre Dame have been 1st rounders. He has 1st round talent. He started 38 games for Notre Dame. Didn't allow a single sack since his 5th start. He may end up being a right tackle hopefully not. Brian Kelly has a knack for having good OL. Check these numbers out. https://www.si.com/college/notredame/football/notre-dame-nfl-draft-liam-eichenberg-answers-questions

Should Carolina Bring In Alex Smith
Missouri Cat Fan replied to Michael G's topic in Carolina Panthers
"Just like Darnold, Smith’s career got off to an indifferent start before teaming with San Francisco and the Kansas City Chiefs" Ah, he was drafted by San Fran dude. Not sure if I would rely on such an article. -
Has anyone gotten a PSL invoice?

Makes me so jealous you all get to watch them in person. I only get to watch when they play the chefs in person. I'm hoping this year or next I will be able to attend a home game for the first time. And actually see them win a game in person. 3 times no Bueno. 2x chefs and in Atlanta when we were 15-0. -
I personally do not see them taking either Fields or Lance in the 8th spot. But of the 2 it would be Fields. Fields played against much stronger defenses than Lance did in college. The one thing that many people don't have much knowledge on about Lance, He played in the Missouri Valley Confrence. I live 3 miles from the Missouri State campus and I can't not tell you the last time Missouri State was competitive til this year when Bobby Patrino (however its spelled) became coach here. Many of the teams might win 4 games a year. North Dakota St. is a run first team. Lance doesn't take many at risk chances. He almost refuses to throw into tight coverage or thread the needle on passes. He does reminded me of how Cam played. I love watching Cam play in his early years as he was exciting. But Cam could overthrow the tallest wide recieving Corp in the NFL. Drove me nuts.. Lance has the same issues. Not saying his legs can't win us a Super Bowl but he is not a very talented pocket passer. And in the playoffs, due to history, that hasn't worked well for most teams. Also Wentz, had very similar numbers as Lance in college even tho Wentz started for 2 years. On average, Lance threw only about 19 passes per game at the FCS level. It's a huge risk. And I'm not sure Darnold would be a great teacher. I'd say take the best player who fits our needs, Slater, Pitts, Waddle, Sewell or Parsons or Horn. Then if Samuel, doesn't become what they had hoped for, next draft we go for the homegrown boy, from Carolina. Even if he sucks, he will bring fans in the stands. Isn't that what the owners really want...Mo Money. But maybe, just maybe, Casper ( um, um, you know)will be the steal of a trade for our franchise QB.

To what I see is everyone got their ruffled thongs in a wad by a guy not putting a question mark at the end of a topic about Moss. Same sentence 2 meanings. Moss to the panthers. Moss to the panthers? This is simple grammer mistakes that I am sure many of you do as well. I am guilty of it in text. But I agree, this is a message board. If you don't agree, keep swiping. Keep it like Tinder. Except up and down. Lol. Facebook likes have warped your minds!!!!

Missouri Cat Fan replied to Captain Morgan's topic in Carolina Panthers
That is at least 5 year old map. Notice the Rams still in Missouri? Facebook probably is too busy to update it as they try to ban people for using anything "they" don't like. I see how people continue to believe what Google says. By gosh it must be right!!! . Dumb starfishies. -
Go on record: WHO DO YOU WANT!
Missouri Cat Fan replied to Brooklyn 3.0's topic in Carolina Panthers
1. Pitts 2. Trade back a few and get Parsons. 3.Sewell People keep saying offensive line. This is a very deep draft for offensive lines. So deep there will be 2 players drafted that are LS. Get OL in 2 and 3. Trey Smith is one I like. -
Not yet anyways. Moton is a big fella.

Here you go for comparison. Texas Tech qbs drafted since 1989 and round. Tolliver 2nd Kingsbury 6th Gandy 4th Mahomes 1st. Same list for USC. Peete 6th, O'Hara 10th, Marinovich 1st, Rob Johnson 4th, Wachholtz 7th, Carson Palmer 1st, Cassel 7th, Leinart 1st, Booty 5th, Sanchez 1st, Barkley 4th, Kessler 3rd and Darnold 1st. That is 4 total for Tech and 13 for USC. 1 1st rounder vs 5. Make sense?
-
Just as another Trojan QB busts, another Trojan condom busts. Same story. Both will ruin your years to come (pun intended). Eventually, your taking the ball deep in the backside. Guess Sam Howell will be our pick next year, since we are going to be a top 5 pick. When do these teams stop trusting in Florida, USC and Ohio State quarterbacks. So many 1st round picks wasted for decades. Its a shame.

Ghostbusters. Only way we are going to win with Darnold. We have just been slimmed by the Big Green.
-
You would rather go on a ghost hunt?

Dude, I could care less about the color of someone's skin. Respect is respect. I literally tried to think of an athletic qb that is white. Allen is too young yet. The Golden Calf of Bristol? He didn't win either. Lawrence? Steve Young? I mean if you can add to that list feel free. Isnt this a forum? Where people chat about stuff and not tear down others opinions? Isn't that what America is struggling with. Guess what sir. I am entitled to my opinion just as you are. I'm not the one who tried to stir the pot. And I am not going to stoop to the disrespect many others have shown here. You have a very nice night and maybe wake up tomorrow, feeling like a new person. 1

He was a 5th rounder last year. I don't see them taking that but maybe now with Trubisky there for a year. Another ex-panther is their 3rd string. Davis Webb. I'd just like to see what the kid could do. I mean in High school he had cameras following him everywhere. And he won. In college the same. Heck even little league baseball where he won the World series as a 12 year old. The kid is a winner. And not for just a year or 2 like many.
-
And if they draft Jones? I will disown the team for good. And wait for it....He is white. Always got to be someone who pulls the race card.
-
Well most white guys aren't very athletic qbs in the NFL. Josh Allen? Steve Young? Marcus Marriota? Always try to find a way for it to be racial. Good grief. I mean my favorite baseball player is black. Basketball is black. Football is black. Hockey well he is white. Yup makes sense to me. I'd rather see them trade up to 1 and get Trevor if they are gonna truly go for it. He is the only "For sure" QB anyways.
-
I know that very well. And many great quarterbacks were mediocre in college. Fromm wasn't even with the Bills last year because of Covid. He was the anti-Broncos quarterback. He wasn't with the team thru any of it. I'm just saying, why not. Not worth a shot? For a 4th or 5th rounder or lower. Draft a closer for sure prospect? Lance sucks. Next JaMarcus. And Fields could be the next Mahomes. But.. Ohio St. Qb's are like USC's. Let's have another Haskins.
-
Maybe check his stats and his record. Just an ignorant statement without facts.

https://www.dawgnation.com/football/where-does-jake-fromm-already-rate-among-georgias-all-time-qbs Every single stat he was better than Matthew Stafford. Who might we say, we tried to get from Detroit. What was the offer for him? Multiple 1st's? I'm not saying start him. Let him sit a few games til we bench Teddy. Remember there is a draft next year that has a couple qbs. Backyard boy Sam Howell maybe? So quick to insult when someone doesn't agree with your thoughts.
-
I just think its funny how quickly people forget. Who is the gm and head coach of the bills? Where did they come from? Did they not help make the Cats the NFC champs? We didn't question their evaluation of talent then. And who did they draft? Let's see. GM, HC and QB coach all from Carolina. And their team is a powerhouse. Just like we were.
-
Yall live with whatever is new. Fromm was drafted last year if you don't forget. So last year was a complete waste. FYI I am not a Georgia fan. Except for their politics. We can hope for another athletic qb that rarely ever wins a Super Bowl. For ex. Vick, Jackson, SCam and the list goes on and on. Fields and Lance will be huge busts and we will fall farther and farther back. Last qb with the name Jake did pretty good for us. And he was a nobody...Hmmm

I'm actually hoping that we can use the good relationship with the bills to trade our 4th or 5th round pick for Jake Fromm State farm. He is a proven qb in which he also beat out Jacob Eason and Justin Fields at Georgia. Use our first round pick either on Pitts or if not there get Parsons. We need our new Luuuuuke! I've seen Lance play and the talent he plays against is terrible. And if 1 person says Fromm doesn't have the arm strength...go look at the notes of Peyton and Brady. Or Russell Wilson.
