  1. Glad we passed on Moehrig. If Vegas liked him that much, he sucks.
  2. How do you figure? In our last Super Bowl, Denver was the def, We were the offense. Or how about the Patriots? Their winning seasons has been with not great offenses. Or Tampa Bay (Sapp days)..or Baltimore..or pick other teams. Oh wait. Wasn't Atlanta the offense juggernaut compared to the Patriots. I'd really take a look at the stats of championship teams.
  3. I like Williams. But I think you might be able to find a back alot like him in the 5th or 6th round. Rountree is a hard nosed runner and if you look at this stats, He has the 3rd best college career numbers of RB in this draft. And played on a terrible team.
  4. Andre Cisco is a beast. I'm hoping he can fall into the 3rd round to us. If the TCU safety is still there take him in the 2nd and take Cisco in the 3rd and we know have one of the best young secondaries in the league. Cisco is super underrated in many mocks going into day 3 in many. Which is absurd. Torn ACL last year in 3rd pregame. He isn't big but is a ball hawk. Across his collegiate career, Cisco logged totals of 136 tackles, 2.0 tackles for loss, 13 interceptions, 14 pass deflections, 2 forced fumbles, and a fumble recovery. Had he played all of 2020, Cisco would have been a three-year starter as a true junior. That’s not something many Power Five players can boast.
  5. There are 2 big name LT left in free agency. Fisher (granted he may be out for half the season) and Villanueva (Ravens are linked to). Not sure who else is out there that are actually decent. Guarantee next draft will have a left tackle available too. Every draft does.
  6. I'm honestly not surprised by our choice. If one thing I have noticed is just how little people on here, know what Rhule is about. Obviously he has a say in who is being drafted. Rhule, is not a HC who desires a spread offense. He is all about defense, and ground and pound football. He is not much different than Riverboat Ron. Go take a look at his time in Temple. This is what he does and wants. At Baylor, he had to change his game plan, as all the high school teams in Texas ( obviously where most of his recruits come from) run more from spread RPO offenses. I think Surtain, would have been the better pick at 8, but hey, it's what he wants. They were never going to pick a QB with the pick anyways. All a smokescreen to get a desperate team, to trade up. But when "Jones" didn't go #3, no one wanted to move up anymore and Chicago was too far down to get what they wanted. Many of the fans better go and look and learn, Rhule is an old school coach with an old school mentality. Which, by history, has been a championship mentality. Next year, we will welcome Sam Howell as our "franchise" QB.
  7. With TB being traded, and watching so many tear down the guy because he didn't live up to their expectations. With us signing Darnold and we all know how short his leash is with all of the highly paid fantasy general managers we have on here.. hopefully Sam can do what these players did in their career. This is their first 2/3 year records as a starting quarterback. Glad we didn't live in a society that needs to have their instant gratification back then or we may have never seen their glorious careers..Not every new guy goes 13-0 Big Ben.. Montana. (2-5) first year, (13-3) pro bowl second year. Jim Kelly. (4-12) (6-6) pro bowl (12-4)pro bowl Aikman. (0-11) (7-8) (7-5) pro bowl Peyton. (3-13) (13-3) pro bowl Brees. (8-8) (2-9) (11-4) pro bowl By today's standards, If they all were rookies now they would all be replaced with the next big thing. Not at all saying this about TB either. He sucks and sucked before he came here. How fast will it be til all 5 quarterbacks hit bust alert?? 4 of the teams will be looking for a new quarterback by 2024 draft. So much for a "Franchise Quarterback". Might be the dumbest saying I hear during the draft build up. If it were true, we should have a shift in football records more often.
  8. I've seen alot of boards having him still ranked in the area of 210th best prospect. About early 6th is what I have seen. Tho he looked really good during pro day, it may have just been Mills throwing almost perfect too. Who knows. But he may still be there.
  9. Larry Rountree. We could use a ground and pound type back to rest CMC. He runs hard and is strong between the tackles. Be nice to have that at the goal line. And he actually is a back who can pass protect.
  10. I give it 10%-25% If he is there for Miami, they take him. They riding with Tua and they have Parker, Fuller and they like Bowden. If they trade out of 6 then yeah. Cinncy takes either Sewell/Chase and Miami takes the other. But it rides all on what Miami does with their pick and I don't see them trading down after trading back up. They have their #1 pick already in their war room before they made the trade earlier.
  11. Just for anyone who might be interested in this. 7 pm cst/8 pm est. Not saying it will be accurate at all. ✌
  12. Well I think that helps us get Eichenburg. Brown is a beast and the Chiefs are desperate for OL help. I mocked KC taking him at 31.
  13. https://www.bucsnation.com/2021/4/20/22387006/buccaneers-nfl-draft-target-davis-mills-stanford There is a lot of chatter about Davis Mills after his pro day. And this is not what I would want to see for the future. The kid is smart (obviously, Stanford is a tough college) and watching his pro day on Path to the draft he was solid in the rain and wind. And if you didn't watch it, it was really raining. Not sprinkles. He also had a good leadership in his huddle (which is awesome to see) If he lasts to the 2nd round to us, do we take a chance on him? Don't think he will but who knows. Lord forbid, this kid sits behind TB for 2 years.
  14. Granted this is from an older article. But still 25 years of data...also included top 10 picks. 15. Young was a 1st pick in the cfl/usfl supplemental draft...Brees was a 2nd rounder who went 11-4 his 3rd year... Palmer goes 11-5 and throws 3836 and 32/12 in his second year...Vinny had 3 years of being over .500 in his career...Tanny was pick 8... Rob Johnson was a 4th and never more than a back up talent...Gannon was a 4th rounder as well. Your facts are straight caca mate. And Rob Johnson a franchise qb? Maybe Doug Williams was too. Or Jeff Hosteller (sp?). Next it will Foles right? That was a very bad post bruh
  16. https://www.nfl.com/news/nfl-draft-ranking-every-quarterback-class-since-2000 Now for all the peeps who want us to draft a qb with a high pick. Look at all those "franchise qbs" maybe 1 or 2 make a go of it but the odds are not in their favor. Maybe JaMarcus wants to tryout again.
  17. Great find. I have been saying this for a long time. I get the luxury of watching him play in the Missouri Valley. Take for example, a team Lance plays against offers 0, yes that is right, 0 football athletic scholarships. Missouri State. So most of the talent he plays against is someone who "might" be able to pull off a Daniel "Rudy" Ruettiger in D1. There isn't much talent in the MVC outside of the Dakota teams. Since very little D1 schools recruit players in that area. Maybe the next tangible super qb will come from the NCAA III.
  18. I agree with you. But not on your trade post. Why with WFT or Pitt? That's too far to drop each with possible playoff teams next year. So it ends up being a low first or second rounder. The issue with the Pat's is they don't have the draft capital unless we get their 1st and 2nd. A comp 3rd is useless for a trade up. Figure I'd just quote once. But yeah I agree with you 100% Slater will be a guard.
  19. I'm sure this is a trade stir the pot move by us. If we canncreate enuf buzz that we might take Fields, it will cause a trade up that knocks whomever they are looking at. I can see Atl and Miami moving their picks. Then that would give us a 50 50 chance of landing Pitts. Bengals and us. Don't see Detroit taking TE with all their needs at WR. But Detroit has done some interesting stuff before. Maybe like this Lawrence- Jax Wilson- NYJ Jones- SF Denver trades up- Fields Chase/Sewell- CIN (This pick is the pivot IMO) Patriots trades up- Lance Waddle/Smith- DET Pitts- US. Woo-hoo.
  20. Chiefs do as well. Why I have a feeling they will take Eichenberg. That dude is a stud.
  21. I personally referred to him looking lost at times. Maybe he was seeing ghosts? Lol. We just need a Mike to allow our Sam and Will to do their jobs where they are suppose to. If we get a good one, I can see our defense returning to top 10 easily. Which if you know Rhule, he is All about smash mouth football. Look at tape at Rutgers. He went to Baylor and everyone in Texas in HS runs spread and RPO. So he had to adapt. But his passion is smash mouth.
  22. Let's see what this game shows... Where the $/*% are our Linebackers? I hate seeing this but it's the truth. It's a luxury? They just are out of place non stop. Getting sucked in on the snap and it's bounced outside. Wait let's run up the middle. Guess who is tackling Rojo. Our secondary. All the time. All year long. https://www.facebook.com/WATB.Sports/videos/rojo-goes-off-vs-panthers-11152020/359021518732734/
  23. I'm not sure what your thoughts are, but last year Shaq looked so lost on defense. Not having a leader like Luke in charge of reading the defense and getting everyone in the right spot. Luke will always be one of the best LB in the game. Even if he left in his prime. Linebacker has always been a strength of our team. We have to be able to stop the run which would ease our pressure on play action for our suspect secondary. I'm mean are we all sold on Perryman being our MLB? I mean he LOST his job with the Chargers last year. Has on average the last 4 years, missed 5 1/4 games a year. Another year of Linebackers not knowing what to do will not do us any good at stopping the run. Is there a linebacker in the draft that could possibly fill this HUGE Void? I do absolutely love Shaq and JC. They need a strong leader in the middle. Maybe Rice from Georgia? Britt from Bama? Just curious what thoughts are out there. Luke, may your Jedi skills, provide you the life you want.
