  1. Liram H. is our kicker today. He's a veteran kicker from the CFL. Maybe our special teams won't be a complete disaster today.
  2. According the J. Ellis Christensen gets the start today at LT.
  3. If we trade CMC will we have to eat part of his contract? What would we get for him? He is an awesome talent but we can't keep him on the field. I can't gauge his value.
  4. Douglas is not a cover corner. He is more of a zone corner. He has shown good eyes and instincts and has good size. I think after last year Snow wanted to play more man, especially after our 3rd down woes. That's why they let him walk. He has looked really good this year because he is being used the right way by his coaching staff.
  5. It really depends on the approach and the coach. I think with real good luck we are a year (maybe two) away from a winning record. This year we got our hopes up with the fast start. I was worried about the teams we beat were real messes at that time (Jets and Houston). We were able to pressure Winston (The whole NO staff had COVID or something and were absent) and he did what he does too often....even the Arizona win was against backup QBs. We were not a good team even when we were 3-0. I think we have good pieces, but our draft capital has took a hit and the major issues (everyone knows this except maybe the current FO) are at QB and OL. Franchise QB's do not grow on tree's and neither do quality LT's. If Rhule (or the next guy) focuses on OL and gets proven players who have had success instead of retreads who have already failed everywhere else. Then maybe we can get somewhere. With an outstanding offseason maybe next year. But we need to improve, not rattle around looking for deals (or not deals) on guys who are already proven "Busts"
  6. I would also like to get a look at Jacques Patrick. A RB they picked up recently. He is more of a pure power back with some straight line speed (Leonard Fournette-like). He was Dalvin Cook's backup in college.
  7. I agree 100%. Brown should definitely see more snaps. Id also like to see Mike Horton and a few others off the Practice Squad. Horton's been around awhile now and never gets to the active roster or into any games. If you are developing a guys should he be "developed" enough at some point to see some action?
  8. He does, but Michael Jordan seems to be one of his favorites now. I'm hoping that Jordan's (rise?) will help convince the coaches to Give Brady a shot at Tackle, especially since Miller will be back in the lineup at RG.
  9. Brady Christensen has seen spot duty in a bunch of games this year at Guard and has started at RT and LT at least once I think. His play at guard hasn't been very good and he struggled at RT early in the year. He also struggled a little at LT when he replaced Daley vs Arizona. The Next week he started at LT versus Washington and probably had his best game of the year (arguably the best performance at LT from a Panther this season). He has only had 2 penalties this year. Daley averages 2 a game. He isn't as long and strong as we like at LT but he stays in front of guys and plays with good technique. At G he seems a little light in the A$$ to me (Round 2 G, Round 3 T?). We have all heard about his short arms, but who cares if he's keeping guys off the QB. I really hope he gets a shot at LT these last 4 games. If he isn't a starter he's a better backup than Daley probably. Who else would like to see Brady get an extended look at LT? Are their other young guys that you'd like to see play more these last 4 games? Who and What chance do you think they have have becoming important contributers in the future?
  10. Yes--A Hurney contract and the team is on the hook for two more years. Its I was wrong here--Paradis' Contract was modified and 2022-2023 and 2023-2024 are "dummy" years. He will be a FA this offseason. We will owe him a little money(I think..maybe 3.7 million or so) that will be a dead cap hit but not much. I apologize for the Misinformation I read Spotrac wrong.
  11. Anyone on our O-Line except Moton film study!
  12. I would also have to say how poorly our offense (and sometimes special teams) has played has impacted the defense as well. When you get off the field and then barely get a second to rest or make adjustments before your butt is back off the bench and right back on the field it makes things more difficult for sure.
  13. Yes--A Hurney contract and the team is on the hook for two more years. Its Starting Center went down with injury. Backup was a rookie. Brought Reiter in to start instead. Starter is back. Still developing the rookie. Reiter is released. I think that's the short and sweet, but there all always things we might not know.
  14. It was last year that the Buc's defense nearly killed Mahomes
  15. Its the one in 2019 when the Chiefs beat SF. I don't remember him being too stressed in that game.
  16. Our offense has mostly struggled much of the year, especially recently. Our Defense was pretty stout early on but has seemed to regress. We have had trouble against the run on and off all year and recently our pass "D" has seemed to regress. I Think we will probably be OK when Jaycee is up to speed especially if Taylor or Henderson takes a step and if especially if we can keep Gilmore for another year or two. What is our most important problem to fix regarding the Run? How can we fix it? (1) Not stout enough in the Middle (D. Brown, D. Jones) (2) Too light on the edge--not setting the edge (especially Burn's side) (3) Poor LB play--our second level isn't doing enough in run support (4) something else? What do you guys think?
  17. This is similar to my thinking. We missed on Stafford and got screwed on the Darnold deal. Any FA QB's may not want to come here. So we need to focus on OL and OL and then OL some more. At least until we can get a decent FA QB or draft and develop a young star from the college ranks.
  18. I don't like this, but I think you are probably right. They will be changes to the coaching staff I think, but not at HC. If things don't turn around next year significantly I think this staff is done. Based on the some of the moves this year that didn't pan out- Id think we would have to have a really, REALLY, good offseason to make the necessary improvement possible. I'd expect at least one risky trade of a productive veteran in order to try to build some draft capital. With only 1 pick in the first two days of the draft we won't be able to address our serious needs (QB, OL).
  19. I Think Rhule has 1 more year. It would not surprise me to see Pat Meyer fired. He's not a Rhule guy like mostr of the other coaches. Id say Blackburn could be in trouble too, maybe.
  20. Don't think so. He played his college ball at South Florida (USF). He is probably better than anything we have now. His PFF grades a re pretty low, but he didn't allow any sacks in the 6 games he played in (5 starts) this year. I think he had only 1 penalty in those outings. He also didn't step on his QB any.
  21. I wonder if Fit will try to put someone of the trade block to acquire more draft picks...Bouye? Burns? T. Marshall? Robby A.?
  22. Miami released a veteran center recently. The guy isn't very old and while he is not a super star he has starting experience and a Super Bowl ring. He was the starting center for KC in the super bowl a couple of years ago. Probably better than what we have currently and definitely at least a better backup. Here's a link about his release: https://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com/2021/12/14/dolphins-cut-austin-reiter/
  23. Cam has more confidence in himself and gets ticked when he (or something) screws up. He is 6'5 and 240 something pounds and makes a heck of an impression. He is always talking things up and when opponents talk smack to him or the team he responds in kind. Its a different kind of leadership than Sam's quiet lead by example (especially when the example is screwing up) that people can get behind. He is not perfect and has some character traits that may not be boy-scout quality, but football isn't about earning badges. Its about imposing your will on and physically bettering grown men (many of which are Nasty MFS). So Cam's better than anything else we have or anything else that's available right now for those reasons IMO.
  24. This will probably not happen. Too much $ to keep both those guys, especially with all th3e QBs we are paying.
