We have 30m right now. Everyone is forgetting the cap is probably increasing 20 mil or so. Then there is always an easy 5-10 million in cuts. So probably looking at 55 million. Minus 8 for draft picks. 47 million. minus Gilmore and Reddick (15 mil a piece roughly) Gives us 17 million. So still broke. Might be the smartest move to only resign Reddick OR Gilmore if we want to fix the OL.

No. Although I agree Sam and Baker are very similar in talent and even appearance. I wouldn’t trade an 8 for Baker but I also wouldn’t used the 8 for Sam. The 16+range? Maybe. I would use the 8th on Pickett. That’s Justin Herbert all day.

Right. Get to the playoffs and then it’s a new season. Getting to the playoffs is the biggest thing. I would take being the 7th seed 4 out of 5 years than being the #1 seed 2 out of 5 years.

Moore DJ is good. Not Steve Smith good or Moose good but good. He’s lazy on routes sometimes and I’ve got a coffee table with more enthusiasm than him. Burns Would probably be better in a 3-4. He’s got an attitude likes he’s the new Peppers but he’s Mike Rucker at best. Right now he’s more like Tyler Brayton. Chinn Will be twice as good if they let him play SS and get him away from FS. Brown Not a top 10 pick. Late 1st early second maybe. Could be having a “sophomore” slump. Is concerning because he also had a rookie slump. Anderson A joke. He’s Philly Brown with more experience. Has a crap attitude and amazes me how he doesn’t die every time he’s tackled. Carter He’s a good #2 not a starting MLB though. I think he just appeared as a good player because Whitehead was pure trash. Like the water residue that’s under a trash bag kind of trash. Phil Snow Meh. He has out performed my expectations for him which wasn’t high. I think he has tons of knowledge and experience on technique and schemes but I just don’t see that attitude you see with Defensive coaches. It shows on the field, I just don’t see that sick’em all our other defenses had.

I don’t have any sources near the team anymore like I did years and even more years ago. Everyone I know that are at the college level or close to other groups say Rhule is 100% staying in Carolina unless he loses out. But they also know jackshit. By then most of these jobs will be filled. If he leaves, the next couple weeks will have to be it. Plus he’s on a bye this week so there is that.

I say Cam if we can get another okay deal and draft a guy like Howell or Pickett. Need to invest the rest of the draft in depth. And about all of caps needs to be around resigning Reddick, fixing the OL and getting a MLB not named Jermaine Carter Jr
