  1. I like how we don’t even try to run the ball anymore. Like “yeah 4 zones runs are enough”
  2. Even if we didn’t take Stroud, we could have signed Carr, kept DJ Moore, drafted another receiver, and kept our first this year but nooooooo…. poo the guy posting that.
  3. Probably something we can agree on. Frank runs the West Coast Spread which is designed more pass heavy and emphasizes getting the ball out quickly on short yardage routes with occasional zone runs and read options to manipulate gap assignment on the defense. Usually requires: An agile and athletic OL, QB with a quick release and good vision, a decent pass catching back, and sure handed receivers. The west coast spread does not depend on speedy receivers to gain separation because the offense is designed to spread out the defense and create 1on1 match ups with a QB who can place the ball in tight windows quickly. However, we have an OL designed for power run schemes between the tackles, whatever WRs we could get our hands on, and a young QB who hesitates and most likely doesn't have the clearest of vision (not making fun of his height, just being honest).
  4. I wanted McCarthy after Ron was let go and I still stand by that. We are going to be through 2 HCs before McCarthy is out of Dallas. 80% of retreads are that for a reason but 20% or so learn from mistakes or come out of a bad situation. (Belichick, Dungy, Pederson, Fox, Carroll, Reid) but most are garbage.
  5. I would still take that over what I’ve seen the last two weeks. I don’t see 12 attempts in 10sq ft area like I do BYs because he has to roll to the right to see.
  6. For those that haven’t seen yet.
  7. We are wearing black Sunday. We have history of not doing well in black on the road.
  8. The two are very different QBs. It is completely possible that Dalton throws 2+ TDs and 250+ yards and the huddle implodes so hard that rips the fabric of space and time causing a black hole that consumes every fan and then eventually itself, turning us into the new Cleveland Browns.
  9. And when I say the right trade partner for Chinn. It would have to be right before the deadline from a team who needed SS help bad and thought they had a reasonable shot at the postseason. Otherwise, he is more like a 2 and 4 or a 2 and a next year 3.
  10. Burns you could easily get that plus some. Maybe not two firsts anymore but definitely 1 and some change. You could probably get one for Chinn from the right trade partner but more likely multiple day 2 picks. Nobody wants to hear it but you could probably get a good haul for Taylor Moton before he gets too old and starts getting banged up. Would be easier to replace on the right side as well. But, with Ickey being iffy in this offense, you don’t want to look for 2 OTs this offseason.
  11. Frank Reich seemed super depressed in the presser today. Not sure if from the Bryce injury or that his expectations have been lowered. Seems like a guy who was lied to or set up to fail and just trying to make the best of a situation. Not a Reich fan, just what I observed by his body language. Reminded me of new sales guy at work trying to explain how a product works for the first time.
  12. Exactly. Charlotte is growing very very fast. Nobody is going anywhere. And if Charlotte was vacated there would be a team relocated here in less than two years. Probably Tennessee or Jacksonville.
  13. He is without question the best QB to get dressed for us since Cam’s first tour. Even better than second Cam.
  14. Carson Palmer, Fitzpatrick, and few other guys had some solid years in their late 30s. Another example is our QB coach.
  15. I think it’s more believable that Frank wants Bryce to sit a few games to watch Dalton and see the game and game speed from the sideline. If Dalton plays you’ll probably see Bryce no more than 6” away from Josh McCown at all times with an iPad
  16. Dalton going to come out and throw 3 tuds and send the fan base into a frenzy.
  17. I too believe he is a bit overrated. He’s average in the NFL we just have had some horrible OL coaches which inflates his value. In his defense he has had some bad luck. He was let go with McCarthys crew and went to Cleveland with Kitchens but Kitchens was fired after a season, then he went to LA with Lynn which turned out to be his last season, and then he went to Houston where it was Culley’s only season and then ended up with Matt in Carolina where it was his last season, and Frank just retained him.
  18. 18m a year or so. He’s not Crosby, Bosa, Garrett, etc. 5 years, 100 million with 70 guaranteed is fair. That’s around 20 per year.
  19. Along with Ben McAdoo who still hasn’t been told to leave.
  20. The way he’s been playing I hope it’s Woods
  21. Sorry but Darnold last year (as pitiful as it sounds) was the best QB since we cut Cam. If I’m not mistaken he is also the winningest QB in the past 5 years for us as well. People forget Teddy throwing 2 yard check downs the entire game.
