    I really think we are gonna go Safety as much as we need LT. Moehrig or Grant. If we are lucky we will get Walker Little in the 3rd. I would rather get Eichenburg/Jenkins/Radunz in the second and pick up another safety later. I trust Juston Burris more at FS than Cameron Erving at LT.

    Fair enough. If that’s the case I am surprised they put on the QB smoke screen to not take any deals down. Maybe they didn’t want to take a chance on losing Horn.

    No I think Trey Lance was the guy they was “excited” about during the press conference. Lawrence and Wilson were almost done deals. We passed on Fields and Jones. People thought the number 3 would be Jones/Fields/Lance so there was a shot he would fall. Don’t think it was used for bait.

    Lol all the people who check the scores on Monday to see if the Panthers won/lost the day before are mad we didn’t get Fields.

    I don’t think we are “interested” in fields so somebody will trade with us. I think it’s so somebody will trade ahead of us and take a QB in hopes Chase, Sewell, or Pitts fall to us.

    With the 8th pick in the 2021 NFL Draft, the Carolina Panthers select: Penei Sewell, Tackle, Oregon.

    Wouldn’t take him at 8 with either Sewell, Slater, or Pitts there but yeah I’d take him if we traded outside the top 10.

    If the pats don’t make the trade (which I think they will with Detroit since we keep flashing this QB nonsense). I think the Eagles will trade up with us to get a WR.

    It only us 8 years to get the blue jerseys and 15 for the black pants back. Glad they didn’t do this though. Could have been worse though, check out Jacksonville.

    If I’m Brady my head is on a HC job. So I don’t want a rookie QB with first years struggles. I would want Pitts or a LT to give Darnold more time to throw.

    I would be willing to pass on Eric Stokes and take Grant instead if he’s there. Would still take a corner in 3-5 range.

    I think it’ll be more than people expect. Not bashing anyone for doing it but when you’re making multi-million dollar decisions, that extra year of experience and tape matters.

    Fair enough. But that was probably before the pressure of having to live up to David Tepper’s 70 million dollar expectations. Also article sounds like her idea not his.

    No his contract at Baylor was 4.1 million per year. He would have had a 17 year contract for it to be lateral. The Panthers gave Rhule a 62 million dollar deal and had a 6 million buy out they had to pay Baylor. Which is about 8.8 million per year.

    History is on our side. The Jets have had decades of making stupid decisions. I could easily see this working out from an unbiased perspective and social media and the internet bashing the Jets for another failure.

    We literally didn’t know who we were picking when we drafted Butler. That was like 5 years ago. Nobody had Williams, Stewart, Otah, Gamble or Davis mocked to us either.

    I told a friend of mine towards the end of the season that I just think he’s in the NFL to A) get paid and B) set himself up for the next really big NCAA opening. If I remember correctly he wasn’t that interested in coaching in the NFL until Tepper and Marty pulled into his driveway and handed him 70 million dollars.

    No way. Teddy throws the ball about like Cam did when his shoulder went out in 2018. Minshew has a pretty good arm.
