  1. Good point, did not think about that
  2. A week from today the schedule will be released. Let’s see who gets the closest. Remember there are 17 games this year. @ New York Giants VS Atlanta @ Buffalo VS Minnesota @ Houston @ Arizona BYE VS New York Jets @ Tampa Bay VS Philadelphia VS New England @ New Orleans @ Dallas VS Washington @ Atlanta VS New Orleans @ Miami VS Tampa Bay My guess is 2 night games this season. A Monday night game against the Jets and a Thursday night game in Atlanta.
  3. Burris with either Sean Chandler, Kenny Robinson or Myles Hartsfield backing him up. I don’t think the Panthers are gonna go out and get anyone as much as I want them to.
  4. Everyone is forgetting how horrible the Saints were before Drew Brees. It’s time for them to go back to their true ways (basement). The hype around them is ridiculous. They could finish 0-17 this year and people would have them pegged to win the SB in 2022 as a “bounce back season”.
  5. Who crashes and burns? Who stays in the basement? Who goes on top? After looking over all 4 rosters (I know some rosters will change and injuries will occur through the season) this is my conclusion. Tampa Bay: 12-6 Most consistent team in the NFC South. Win the division but Brady’s magic starts to run out towards the end of the season and costs them some close games. Carolina: 9-8 Season starts slow but go on a run the last half. Takes a while for the chemistry to build but the defense is solid, run game is consistent and Darnold makes plays when he needs to. On the bubble of the playoffs, either last one in or first one on the outside. New Orleans: 7-10 Starts strong before crashing and burning. Cap casualties catch up with NO and teams figure out Winston and Hill a few games in. Atlanta: 4-13 Kyle Pitts will help but Mike Davis is far from spectacular. Defense is thin. New regime, new system, don’t look so great. Some momentum towards end of the season. Only wins will be in shootouts. Thoughts?
  6. He’s a 30 year old corner. We might get 1 decent season maybe 2 before production drops off or injuries pile up. Plus he’s much more expensive. We would be better off resigning Jackson or franchise tagging him and trading him next off season.
  7. I thought about that too. Not really anything to obsess over but I like seeing things like this. I know he talked about single digits at the press conference. 7 was his number in college and it’s taken by Grier. 8 would be a logical choice. His Dad also wore 87. But you could be right as well.
  8. Noticed this picture on the Twitter feed. Looks like the blue jersey in his locker has his name and an 8 on it. There’s a jersey on the left side, can’t tell if it’s his or the locker beside his but it has a 2. He’s either 8 or 28.
  9. Grier/Walker will be battling for the back up role. This guy will be battling with Tommy Stevens for whatever role that is.
  10. The UDFA Stokke guy reminds me of Hoover. Tremble reminds me of Kris Mangum mixed with the most productive version of Chris Manhertz.
  11. Malik Hooker on a prove it deal would be pleasant.
  12. Please not Okung. Probably a great guy but I knew he was gonna be hurt all year before he was hurt all year.
  13. The only two backs better than Smith are McCaffrey and Hubbard. The Bonnafon experiment is over and Cannon isn’t it. Daley/Zylstra will be fine. Don’t think new guy will beat out Slye. Jansen is 50/50.
  14. Think David Moore will start WR3 but Marshall will have it before the end of the season. I think Pride would play nickel before Jackson. He would be good but Pride would struggle on the sidelines. Also think Elfein is more of a back up center/back up guard don’t think he’s gonna hold a starting spot.
  15. Told myself I wasn’t gonna build a depth chart this early but I can’t help myself! QB: Darnold, Walker, Grier RB: McCaffrey, Hubbard, Smith FB: None TE: Arnold, Tremble, Thomas WR: Moore, Moore, Smith WR: Anderson, Marshall, Zylstra LT: Erving, Christensen LG: Daley, Little C Paradis, Eflein RG: Miller, D.Brown RT:Moton, Scott DE: Burns, Fox DT: Brown, Nixon DT: Jones, Roy DE: Gross-Matos, Haynes OLB: Reddick, Luvu MLB:Perryman, Carter, Johnston OLB: S. Thompson, Orr CB: Horne, Bouye, Melvin CB: Jackson, Pride, Taylor FS: Burris, Hartsfield SS: Chinn, Franklin K: Slye P: Charleton LS: Jansen
  16. Yeah kinda what I’m hoping for.
  17. But also would have lost to the lions if not for the defense pitching a shut out. Still threw 2 picks. Then got called in at the end of the season and threw like 3 picks in one half. He’s a pet. I really hope Rhule isn’t worse than Rivera with his pets. Would like to see if Grier has matured or go get an actual back up QB. Ya know, since Erving is gonna be the LT this year.
  18. I don’t want to beat the Will Grier drum but I’m going to for a second. I think he fits Joe Brady’s scheme better than PJ Walker does. 1. The coaching he got as a rookie with Rivera here was garbage 2. Fewell threw him to the wolves and he got sacked so much he barely played 6 quarters before he got hurt. 3.He didn’t get to spend the offseason with Brady and the new staff. Given time with Brady and Sean Ryan this offseason, he could become a solid back up and pass PJ on the depth chart. Not calling him a MVP or even a starter but safe back up.
  19. Barring that we don’t trade Anderson or Moore. If we carry 6 WR the room will likely be: 1. Moore 2. Anderson 3. Moore 4. Marshall 5. Smith 6. Zylstra OR 1. Moore 2. Anderson 3. Moore 4. Marshall 5. Smith 6. Bayless Zylstra has size, experience and kills it on special teams. Bayless was UDFA pick up last year who blew it up in college but missed the season with an injury.
  20. That’s not even counting O-Line and TE
