If he wins the division I think he deserves a shot. I mean look at the mess Rhule left him, they trade CMC, and he’s got McAdoo calling plays. If he can win the NFCS give him a shot. However, I like conservative coaches. I’m an old school run heavy, strong D type guy, but Wilks is waaaayyyyy too conservative. He makes John Fox look like Jim Harbaugh. I just don’t think it will work out for him. I also have concerns about Al Holcombe being DC and who Wilks would bring in to be the OC. If you look at his Staff in AZ and Cleveland it wasn’t exactly a bunch of Winners.

The one positive thing about Snow is that he stayed in man A LOT, probably too much. Wilks is running the same defense as 2017 after McDermott left. It’s just a basic soft zone-blitz scheme. Which is very dependent on having a guy like Luke who can make checks and call gaps on the fly. Washington did the same but would throw that “Big Nickel” poo in it and we played off the ball like 15 yards.

Really solid game by Sam. He had a few throws that were off, but he took care of the football and had one of his better games. The sacks he took were either from coverage, or Ekwonu getting beat. (Ickey got pancaked by a safety on one play?) Defense was a complete joke today, absolutely laughable.

I am not on the Fitt bandwagon at all. The dude looks nervous in all of his interviews like somebody is about to jump out and beat his ass. He gave up capital for Darnold, Mayfield, and Henderson. Then gives up capital for Gilmore to play half a season. Extends Ian Thomas for god knows why. I mean you can blame Matt for some of that but at the end of the day he is still the GM and it’s not that hard to prove Matt wrong in a meeting room if you disagree with him. I highly doubt Matt had him in a chicken wing against the computer making him do what he wanted.

Depends. If Darnold plays good and isn’t replaced before the end of the year, Wilks probably keeps him on a cheap deal, PJ on a cheap deal, and Corral. Maybe add another guy in the draft or FA. If it’s another head coach, doubt any of them stay except Corral because he’s on his rookie deal

Actually I predicted 7-10 at the beginning of this season and 6-11 last season and half the board pooed me for not saying 9-12 games. I have been around this bored plenty. Glad you are trying to make up a false narrative so you can justify wanting your team to suck so you have something to bitch about on here and at work. Those teams that always want to tank to get that draft pick never seem to get it. 1 year turns to 2 and 2 turn to 10 and you spend a decade or two in the basement.
