  1. I also said "our respective draft board". You're going by the media/consensus draft board. No telling whether jeanty will be that high on our board. Also, we can always talk BPA this, BPA that, but "need" is gonna find its way into the war room somehow. When a team has as many holes as we do, its gonna pop up. BPA is a luxury for teams that have less holes to fill. It is also dependent on what we do in FA.
  2. I could care less what the ending record or draft spot is. Ill worry and bitch about that in the off-season. Just continue trending up. That's all i want.
  3. Dont forget some form of a FA or late round drafted TE replacement for Ian Thomas. But maybe thats just asking for too much. Ian is here to stay... real culture guy... a dan morgan dawg if you will
  4. Also, TMAC/XL/Coker can line up in all X, Y, and Z spots. At the very least they have some experience in doing so. I am firmly in the TMAC or graham or trade back realm of what I would like to see happen.
  5. Main reason I wouldn't mind taking Mason Graham. He is a 3 tech that can play 4 or 5. Draft Profile Summary: Mason Graham has the potential to be one of the best defensive tackle prospects to come out of college in the last few years. His lack of elite size and length will keep him from being in the same category as Jalen Carter, but the Michigan product's combination of strength and athleticism gives him a high ceiling as a pro. Graham is quick off the ball to put pressure on offensive linemen immediately and has the agility to throw off linemen's angles when slanting. He's very effective when slanting to get penetration in the backfield, and he has the strength and physicality at the point of attack to control blocks when taking them on straight up. Against combo blocks and double teams, the Wolverine's sub-par pad level will occasionally cause him trouble, but he's also shown the ability to absorb contact and hold ground when he keeps his pads down. He's even made a few plays while taking on double teams. As a pass-rusher, Graham is still learning how to use his hands consistently and his lack of top-tier arm length might be a bigger issue at the next level. However, he has the movement skills to develop a good arsenal of pass-rush moves and has already flashed a decent hand-swipe and swim move. Also, he has the strength to collapse the pocket as a bull rusher when he uses good leverage. Schematically, Graham would be best as a 3-technique but he can line up as a 4- to 5-technique if needed. Michigan has been moving him up and down the defensive line so far this season, which has helped increase his position versatility.
  6. Gotta celebrate the 1st round hits somehow, but also the hard celebrations are why he never hit later in the draft, per sources (his plug)
  7. You take not only the BPA based on our respective big board, but the best day 1 starter available to us. The second part removes the QB's (who likely won't be available regardless assuming they go top three and we are drafting at 4-7, regardless panthers probably see Bryce as the future with his play improving) and OT's (since we just shelled out money to two OG, Icky playing better/no room to shift him inside)
  8. I get that there are fans out there that want to just say "slow ya roll" on the Bryce hype, as there are still mistakes mixed in there. But no one can say they aren't seeing improvement, which is the main reason for this new found hype/confidence. No one is sold that Bryce is a top 10 QB, we are all just excited that he is showing a lot of improvement. The best thing that could happen to this organization right now would be Bryce continuing to improve and it seems to be trending that way. Instead of throwing these poo posts/threads, just say you need to see more before you're sold and most will agree or at the least not complain or say you didn't even watch. Also for those throwing mad shade at XL, i get that we have had a lot of trouble lately drafting WR's but we literally are watching Bryce crawl out of the darkness of QB bust hell. I don't get how you don't have patience for XL after going through what we've been through with Bryce. If he doesn't improve next year, then I will be out. I think we gambled on his upside seeing if he could be a 1, he isn't that. But he could be a great compliment to a 1. Give him time to improve. Dave and our OC have experience working with WR's. Time to put that experience to good use. His route running is definitely better than expected though not great/perfect.
  9. If they have a great off-season, next year. But they have to have a great off-season. Can’t just focus on the defense. Defense needs the most help, but the offense isn’t complete either. i’m not really sold on us being a good drafting team. So im still in wait and see mode. I realistically think we are around .500. Which is around what it takes to make it to the playoffs in this division lol
  10. Eagles coach gets to coach another day, until next time.
