"Verge's Draft Day Thread" or some such.
CarolinaLivin replied to Verge's topic in Carolina Panthers
I mean, I am not pushing for him to be in a Panthers uniform. Like it's been said he's likely going #3. But in the event he was the selection, I would talk myself into it lol. But not my preferred pick. -

As long as Jones doesn't touch the field in year 1 i could be on board. If they want this guy and think they can mold/coach him into the player they believe he can/will be in there minds, hearts, & imagination... draft em and make the huddle break! -
I think we put out our "love" for some top CB prospects (Horn/Farley) to make some teams panic as top CB's could be taken fast once the Top QB's are taken. Starting with either us or at pick #10.

Is that a gut feeling type of thing or a source is telling you this? I could honestly see it happening. -
But wait there's more

If our dream QB doesn't fall to 8, I don't see us drafting a QB any earlier than the 3rd round and it would only be if trask or mond falls to the 3rd. I say falls because teams may be desperate enough to take one in the second. I don't believe we are.

More info... the panthers cleared about $5-6M in cap this year and roughly 26M in next year's cap

But waittt without teddy's burners who is gonna fight for the mediocre QBs..... oh wait false alarm we have darnold supporters for that

4 Panthers Draft Predictions (by Dean Jones)
CarolinaLivin replied to CarolinaLivin's topic in Carolina Panthers
I think it depends on whether or not our FO is more focused on gaining draft capitol in this draft or the next. Are looking at 3 or 4 picks of lesser value, or 1 or 2 picks of higher value. A team like the patriots have a lot of Day 3 picks, 10 picks in total this year. -
4 Panthers Draft Predictions (by Dean Jones)
CarolinaLivin replied to CarolinaLivin's topic in Carolina Panthers
I think if we trade back we will take a CB (likely Farley or Samuel) and a OT/OL in the 2nd. I only see us possibly taking a WR in the 2nd if we get an extra day 2 pick out of the trade back. But I do like Elijah Moore. -
4 bold predictions for the Carolina Panthers in the 2021 NFL Draft By Dean Jones https://catcrave.com/2021/04/28/carolina-panthers-4-bold-predictions-2021-nfl-draft/5/ 1. Carolina Panthers will use their first-round pick on Jaycee Horn This will probably come with a trade down, which we will discuss later. But the Carolina Panthers get themselves a cornerback with shutdown potential in the first round of the 2021 NFL Draft with Jaycee Horn. 2. Carolina Panthers will draft three offensive linemen It doesn’t take a rocket scientist to figure out that the Carolina Panthers need to get better from a protection standpoint. Making the move for Sam Darnold will mean absolutely nothing if they don’t give him enough time to go through his progressions, so it would be wise for the franchise to take advantage of a deep draft class for offensive linemen. 3. Carolina Panthers will take a WR within their first three picks Scott Fitterer has been telling anybody who will listen that the Carolina Panthers are going into the 2021 NFL Draft with a view to selecting the best prospect available on their board. This luxury is normally more associated with contending teams with little in the way of problems that need solving. But although Matt Rhule’s men are nowhere near this standard yet, settling for less upside just because it fills a need is not something the general manager is going to consider. 4. Carolina Panthers will trade with the Patriots Much will depend on how the draft plays out in front of the Carolina Panthers at No. 8 overall. But if the San Francisco 49ers do end up taking Alabama’s Mac Jones at No. 3 as expected, then all hell is sure to break loose in the immediate aftermath. Post your draft predictions below.

People were saying that if Mills stayed another year at the college level he would have been a 1st round talent. Still not high on bruh. Think we shouldn't grab a QB unless its in 1st round or UDFA. But that's why im in here for free and not in the FO making big bucks.

Are You Really Against Fields or Lance if they fall to #8...
CarolinaLivin replied to SetfreexX's topic in Carolina Panthers
Unless Lance goes 3... *everyone gasps* ... plot twist -
Great post, definitely a lot to think about. A lot of our off-season pickups shifted our selection at 8 to more of a WANT pick than a NEED pick. meaning... BPA baby!

Who's your tradeback partner and why?
CarolinaLivin replied to TheBigKat's topic in Carolina Panthers
I don't think you trade down with denver to allow them to get a QB. I think we allow another team like NE to grab a QB so that Denver is pushed to trade for teddy (if it doesn't happen prior to the draft like some are expecting). Lol just some poo to think about. -
What 1st round position do you NOT want to see drafted
CarolinaLivin replied to CanadianCat's topic in Carolina Panthers
WR WR WR WR WR WR -
I literally don't see us drafting anything but a LT at 8. This team doesn't care about "sexy" pickups. They have made it clear that they want to build a roster.

Source: Panthers Open to Drafting Quarterback With No. 8 Pick
CarolinaLivin replied to NAS's topic in Carolina Panthers
I think you gotta look at it from a L standpoint 1) If we traded all that draft capital for a higher pick to grab a QB this year and he ended up being a bust, we would be adding at least 1-2 rebuilding years. 2) If Sam Darnold is a bust (like he has been), we were able to draft BPA with picks we kept and are still in a better position (than last year) even without a franchise QB. Our FO understands that we have to build a complete team and they've done a pretty good job so far. The moves may not be perfect but they were solid moves that will move this team in the right direction. -
The trend here is believing!

Source: Panthers Open to Drafting Quarterback With No. 8 Pick
CarolinaLivin replied to NAS's topic in Carolina Panthers
I will say I wanted a QB up until we traded for one. I think the team had a love/hate with every QB option we had in the sense of loving the QB, but hating how we would have to go about getting him.
