I am eager to see how a lot of our developmental projects works. Rhule seems to be a good evaluator when it comes to FO personnel. Only time will tell how god of an player/talent evaluator he is. A lot of these projects will make or break rhules nfl career. Especially the "Sam Darnold Project"... SDP for short lol

Still want us to bring in a veteran Safety, but I am excited to see what our coaches see in the kid. He is currently sitting 3rd on the SS depth chart as Chinn is listed as being in the FS position. Maybe the kid can jump to SS2 behind burris in camp.

How comfortable Darnold is in the first 3 games will determine our season

We have made the Panthers very Darnold friendly. Maybe one more move for the OL, if that. He should have no problem improving. Not to mention a defense that could turn a lot of heads next year. If Darnold can take care of the football, we should be happily in a wild-card spot.

As log as the run game is there and we aren't forcing him to throw 40-50 times a game, I am sure he will have a career year across the board.

I definitely don't expect to see anything near pro-bowl numbers, but I am expecting a large improvement to his game. The players we've surrounded him with, our coaching staff, and a system that fits his play style are all factors.

With all of the newly added weapons (Draft & Free Agency), what are your expectations for Sam Darnold in 2021 seeing as he might (should) be on a short leash this upcoming season. As long as we have a stable run game (CMC doesn't get hurt) and our OL improves (Ranked 18th last season), I believe Sam can improve a lot. I think we could add maybe 1 more OL/OT (Eric Fisher is one), but I believe a Safety and a LB will be priority. However, I don't think Sam has any excuses this season. We (our FO) have expressed 100% commitment to this man and have surrounded him with the necessary talent to succeed. QB1 Season Prediction: Pass Pct: 68.7% TDs: 24 INTs: 12 ***If Sam is indeed kept for a 2nd year I expect to see more improvements to his numbers as he will be more comfortable with the system and less media bashing him. Bayless has to make his self available. I think he opted out of last year. But there are too many players. He has to show toughness and a WANT (hunger) for being on that field. Panthers love competition in every room, EXCEPT QUATERBACK ROOM apparently lol but that's for a different thread

True, however our FO believes we have one in the form of Sam Darnold. Just Something that we as fans will have to understand and deal with.

Haven't had a complete CB1 since norman... what do you expect.

I really do think it will be a S (Holland) or a DT (Barmore) and I see the OL/OT in the 3rd & maybe 5th round with a WR coming out of the 4th

I think the Obvious pick is OT (tackle here and inside OL guy later) But they will more than likely grab a S

I think the true smokescreen was screaming BPA and still "reaching" for a need. I put reach in quotations because I don't think it was that much of a reach. I like the kid, but I could've been happier with another selection. Still ready to see what the defense will look like now that Phil Snow has a defense that can play the scheme he wants.

I wonder how you guys/gals would react to this idea... If the Panthers want to bring in competition, young competition at that, for Sam. Maybe they instead should focus draft capitol on other positions of need in the draft by trading back and maybe grabbing a young QB in the process (Gardner Minshew, Drew Lock) if a QB prospect like Lance were to fall into a teams lap. Thoughts?
