  1. Record deal: Texans All-Pro CB Derek Stingley Jr has agreed to a three-year, $90 million extension including $89 million guaranteed. At $30M base value per year, Stingley is now the highest paid defensive back in NFL history. The CB market has been completely reset.

  3. Some Vikings employees feel chance of signing QB Aaron Rodgers is "50/50" per report Mike Silver, a national columnist for The Athletic who is a fellow Cal alum like Rodgers, believes it's "literally 50/50" on whether or not the Minnesota Vikings will sign former four-time NFL MVP quarterback Aaron Rodgers, a longtime NFC North rival with the Green Bay Packers. Rodgers' decision will likely come once Minnesota decides if they want him or not. https://x.com/TPPSkol/status/1901337272047567144?ref_src=twsrc^tfw|twcamp^tweetembed|twterm^1901337272047567144|twgr^26c79e0fcbec33d545b136261282a5bcda91d6bd|twcon^s1_c10&ref_url=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.cbssports.com%2Fnfl%2Fnews%2F2025-nfl-free-agency-day-7-live-updates-tracking-signings-trades-rumors-on-aaron-rodgers-russell-wilson%2Flive%2F
  4. Aaron Rodgers update We're in the middle of the seventh day of NFL free agency, and still no official word on what Aaron Rodgers is going to do. All accounts state that the Steelers and Giants have submitted offers to Rodgers with retirement also being an option. The big question is the Vikings and whether or not they have interest in the four-time league MVP. There's been conflicting reports regarding the Vikings' interest in Rodgers. There are also conflicting reports regarding Rodgers and the Vikings; some feel that Rodgers is waiting to see if the Vikings will reach out before he makes a final decision. If that is true, it appears that the Vikings is Rodgers' preferred choice.
  5. A new backup for Lamar Jackson: former Cowboys free-agent QB Cooper Rush reached agreement today on a two-year contract worth up to $12.2 million with the Baltimore Ravens, per me and @JFowlerESPN.
  6. The San Francisco 49ers are trading running back Jordan Mason to the Minnesota Vikings, his agents, Jason and Michael Katz, told ESPN's Adam Schefter on Saturday. The Vikings will also receive the No. 187 pick in April's NFL draft and send a 2026 sixth-round pick and the No. 160 pick in this draft to the Niners, sources told Schefter. The Vikings are signing Mason to a two-year deal with over $7 million fully guaranteed, with a maximum value of $12 million.
  7. Falcons keeping Cousins Cousins will not be released by Atlanta after all, as the Falcons will be paying a $10 million roster bonus that is due in 2026. The Falcons couldn't find a trade partner to take on his contract, so Cousins will back up Michael Penix in 2025 -- barring a trade later this offseason. His dead cap is $65 million.
  8. Titans have released cornerback Chidobe Awuzie, who played in eight games for the team in 2024, including seven that he started.
  9. After losing free-agent OL Mekhi Becton to the Chargers, as @Tim_McManus reported, the Eagles are now poised to have 2026 compensatory picks in rounds 3, 4, 5 and 6. They also already had the Jets’ 3 in 2026 courtesy of the Haason Reddick trade. They now are expected to have five of the top 100 picks, and 12 overall picks, in the 2026 NFL Draft.
  10. Ja'Marr Chase and Tee Higgins are about to get paid The two Bengals receivers are getting to finalizing a deal and they both could have a new contract in the coming days, according to NFL Media. Chase has been told by the Bengals that he'll be the highest paid non-QB in the NFL, so that likely means he'll be getting a deal that tops the $40 million per year that Myles Garrett is making. As for Higgins, the highest-paid No. 2 receiver in the NFL is Jaylen Waddle at $28.25 million per year, so you can almost certainly expect him to top that. The most likely scenario is that he gets at least $30 million per year, which means the Bengals will be paying an average of $125 million per year to Joe Burrow and his top two receivers.
  11. Two Bills free agent expected to be suspended after signing with team The Bills won't have DT Larry Ogunjobi or DL Michael Hoecht to start the seasons. General manager Brandon Beane revealed that both players have been suspended SIX games for violating the NFL's PED policy. Beane says the team knew about Hoecht's suspension, but not Ogjunobi's.
  12. 2 visits, 0 contracts for Russ Russell Wilson visited the Browns and Giants over the past two days but did not sign a deal with either team. The Giants continue to wait for Aaron Rodgers' decision. The Browns recently traded for Kenny Pickett and probably couldn't afford Wilson given their salary cap situation.
  13. The Los Angeles Chargers agreed to a two-year deal with guard Mekhi Becton, the team announced Friday. Becton is perhaps the Chargers' most important signing of free agency. L.A.'s most significant weakness last season was its interior offensive line, and the Chargers struggled to build the effective rushing attack that coach Jim Harbaugh promised because of the linemen's struggles.
  14. Top names continue to get signed as we hit the weekend after a wild few days of NFL free agency. So who are the best players still available? Who might still land a big-money deal? How do quarterbacks Aaron Rodgers and Russell Wilson stack up? Matt Bowen ranks the best unsigned players remaining on the market. Here are the top five at the moment: Cam Robinson, OT Rasul Douglas, CB Stefon Diggs, WR Amari Cooper, WR Asante Samuel Jr., CB
  15. Nine-time Pro Bowl fullback Kyle Juszczyk is returning to the San Francisco 49ers on a two-year, $8 million deal, a source told ESPN's Adam Schefter on Saturday. It had been a brief split between the two sides, as the 49ers released Juszczyk on Tuesday before bringing him back into the fold.
  16. Comp update: Cooper Kupp and the Seahawks reached agreement on a three-year, $45 million deal, per source.
  17. Saints and Seahawks both making a push for Cooper Kupp The Rams receiver has at least two teams that are very interested in signing him. According to The Athletic, the Seahawks and Saints are both making a push to sign Kupp. The Seahawks could certainly use another receiver after trading DK Metcalf and cutting Tyler Lockett. As for the Saints, they don't have a ton of salary cap space, so it will be interesting to see if they can meet Kupp's asking price, which is apparently around $13 million or $14 million per year.
  18. Running back Kareem Hunt is returning to the Kansas City Chiefs on a one-year contract worth up to $2.5 million, a source told ESPN's Jeremy Fowler on Friday. He returns to a backfield led by Isiah Pacheco that also added former San Francisco 49ers running back Elijah Mitchell this week. Hunt, 29, joined the Chiefs for his second tour with the team early in the 2024 season after they placed Isiah Pacheco on the injured reserve list. Hunt led the Chiefs in rushing with 728 yards and seven touchdowns. He also rushed for 117 yards and two touchdowns in three postseason games.
  19. Former Raiders assistant GM Champ Kelly, who has interviewed for multiple GM jobs across the league in recent years, has agreed to join the Dolphins as a senior personnel executive, working in both pro and college scouting.
  20. The Bills have agreed to terms on one-year deals with offensive guard Kendrick Green and cornerback Dane Jackson. Green has experience playing left guard, right guard and center.
  21. Free agent defensive end Dante Fowler Jr. has agreed to a contract with the Dallas Cowboys, a source confirmed to ESPN. It marks a return to Dallas for Fowler, who played for the team in 2022 and '23 before signing with the division-rival Washington Commanders last year. Fowler will help to replace defensive end DeMarcus Lawrence, who left Dallas to sign with the Seattle Seahawks this week.
  22. #Seahawks have been firmly in the mix for Cooper Kupp as teams await his free agency plans, sources told @BradyHenderson and me. Seattle has attempted to sell Kupp on a vision for his next NFL chapter, and Kupp has been in touch with members of the organization.
  23. The Bucs have agreed to terms with WR Sterling Shepard on a 1 year deal, per source. @FifthThird @OU_Football @Scoop_A1
  24. Bengals working on deals for Chase, Higgins Sources: Bengals are actively working to get both wide receivers signed as soon as possible.
