At least the hornets had a winning record this year. While we’re waiting 7 years for that the jay-z way… -
Considering the WR contracts of 2022...
CarolinaLivin replied to top dawg's topic in Carolina Panthers
(From the outside looking in) I like DJ moores contract, but not so much Robby. (Reality) Robby could play up to his contract or even out play his contract. Is it likely with the QB (Darnold, PJ, Rookie) he’ll have? Maybe not. He did do pretty well with Teddy so maybe after an improved OL, but still prolly no improvement at decision making when it comes to QB play. in the end, i like DJ’s contract but i think the money used on Robby could’ve been used elsewhere. Maybe we could’ve saved some of next year’s cap instead of pushing a lot to next year. -
Ahh understood. I keep thinking people are talking about what they want, not what they expect, to happen.

So next years qb class is way better, and you wanna take a chance on a qb this year when the potential for bust is much higher on these qbs in this class. Especially with the coaching and culture we currently have. Just take OL in draft and keep picks next for year. Leave these 2022 qbs alone.

Wonder if this will play any part

That's the issue with a lot of these "loser/winner" things. They will write up a winner just because he measured well, or freakish regardless of the tape. I've seen a few lists doing that. They'll say "he measured freakishly!" but didn't show much on tape or even during the drills, but man what a freak in size... i guess

Name something specific that would get you pumped for this season

You have to think his final say isn't the same as last year. Tepper either told Rhule what kind of coaches to bring in (one's with more experience), which could still be Rhule having final say. Just not his selecting the crop to interview. I think our OC is bringing in the guys he wants, and Rhule has final say/makes the hire from that group. My second guess is Tepper is letting the fear of Rhule losing his job kind of make him want more experience around him. -
