  1. Fully agree. Numbers should have legacies that continue on after great players leave.
  2. Yeah I'm definitely on board with a modernization of our unis, not a full rebrand. I'm thinking maybe no stripes on the helmet/shoulders.
  3. Just realized that all four teams named after big cats have never won the SB.
  4. Have to have changed unis in order to have throwbacks.
  5. I would like to thank the Atlanta Falcons for their nuclear meltdown in 2016 for taking the heat off of our loss the year prior.
  6. I think the new practice facility in SC would make the most sense to host the combine. But the draft being held in uptown sounds like a fantastic idea and a great way to show off the city.
  7. I mean, sure, if you're a fan of suburban stadium complexes that are completely detached from the city they reside in (a la the new Braves stadium which isn't even in the same county as Atlanta). Also the hundreds of millions of dollars worth of roller coasters might get in the way of your plan here.
  8. I, too, like to make someone up and get mad at them
  9. What a great story. Thanks for sharing. I hope his memory brings you peace.
  10. They'd probably start selling merch with his new number. Or not at all idk man

  12. Honestly it makes the most sense for him to put in the request now, so he can have 5 for the 2022 season. That way he doesn't have to pay for all the 22 jerseys this year and we get a full season of football to wash the bad taste that the number 5 currently has out of our mouths.
  13. If it were me I'd wait a little bit. Everyone who bought a Kyle Allen jersey after he won 4 games looks a little silly now.
  14. Yeah I mean I don't agree with anything they wrote in this piece but I'm quickly figuring out what the folks on here think of BR lol
  15. https://bleacherreport.com/articles/2942900-4-nfl-teams-that-blew-the-2021-offseason "The Carolina Panthers appeared to have everything going for them this offseason: plenty of cap space, a stable stopgap veteran quarterback, a premium draft pick to use toward the long-term future under center and offensive coordinator Joe Brady, the architect of Joe Burrow's historic run at LSU. Instead, Carolina said "no thanks" to a quarterback and the offensive line with the eighth overall selection, traded for a failed first-rounder (Sam Darnold) and dealt its veteran stopgap (Teddy Bridgewater). The keys to the offense now belong to a career 59.8 percent passer with a 45-39 touchdown-to-interception ratio. Nobody would argue the New York Jets were a stable developmental environment for the 2018 third overall pick, so maybe the Panthers can help him turn his career around. But his completion rate is a major red flag. Darnold secured, the Panthers passed on a quarterback in the first round, taking cornerback Jaycee Horn at No. 8. They then traded down twice in the second round and ultimately missed out on offensive line talent that could've helped fix a unit that allowed 36 sacks last year. Sprinkle in the fact that Carolina also lost a weapon like Curtis Samuel, and the organization didn't exactly do enough to create an encouraging developmental situation for Darnold. It could hurt the Panthers immediately and far into the future." Thoughts?
  16. That's the thing. For better or for worse, we have a QB. A QB that Rhule & Fitterer value as highly or even higher than Fields. So the value of choosing yet another QB was not as high as picking a potential lockdown corner.
  17. This is all based on player potential by position. If Horn becomes a perennial pro-bowler and Fields doesn't live up to the hype do we really call it a failure?
  18. NFC South teams all in the bottom ten. Should be fun.
  19. Still scarred by Tony Romo coming in as a backup after Drew Bledsoe got hurt and he absolutely murked us.
  20. I've been wanting a Charlotte based MLB team since I've been able to talk.
  21. I've seen several draft graders give us a B for the draft overall and it makes me wonder how much of it is grading us harshly for passing on Fields, despite the great moves we made rounds 2-7
