  1. I very much appreciate the nuance of this post, and I would have to say for the most part I share your thinking.
  2. There is reason to believe that with more weapons and a better system, he COULD become the player he was drafted to be. Our FO is taking that bet.
  3. Man will I be glad when we've picked whoever we're getting in the first round so we can all stop running in circles with all the possibilities.
  4. Anyone want to venture over to Broncos twitter/forums to see how they're taking the news?
  5. We got a better return for Kyle Allen than we did for Teddy.

  7. Could be that they're all in on Pitts this year and hoping to get something for Julio while they can.

  9. Personally, I like how European soccer clubs treat their numbers. Some numbers have a lot more weight than others (like 1, 59, or 89 etc. would for the Panthers) and the expectation is that if you're given a number with higher significance, then your level of play needs to match that. It's like a higher responsibility out of respect for those who have worn that number previously.
  10. The organization has crapped all over teddy all offseason. I'm not sure why everyone expects him to be happy with his current situation. IMO by not saying anything he is being as professional as he needs to be.
  11. I was 5 years old in 2001 but I remember the 2010 season quite well. I don't think we will be quite that bad this year. If we are the worst team in the league I will be genuinely surprised.
  12. Sounds like you need to skip to another fanbase lmao you are so negative.
  13. Of course you take one of the QBs if they're there at #8, and you can let him sit a year under Darnold and not be thrown to the wolves immediately. And if Darnold doesn't work out, then we already have his replacement on the roster.
  14. I'd argue that the timing on this deal makes more sense than waiting. It allows us to focus on needs at other positions with the #8 pick without having to worry about one of the QBs falling to us.
  15. Some of y'all who were singing the praises of SF for mortgaging their future to get an unproven rookie at #3, are now crying because we make a low risk high reward trade for a QB who has never played on a good team. Makes sense if you always assume every move any other team makes will work out and any move the Panthers make will backfire.
  16. I'm not usually in favor of the concept of retiring jerseys, but certain numbers hold more weight than others. I think it would be a sign of good faith to Cam if we did not give out the number 1 so soon after he left.
  17. I'm not sure I see us taking multiple WRs/RBs and while only taking one OL player in each draft.
  18. If one of the top 4 QBs makes it past Atlanta at #4, I fear the Broncos would try to leapfrog us and grab them.
  19. QB's are going to go 1,2,3,4, and Mac Jones is not going to make it to the second round. We're either going to have to go with BPA at 8 and get Mond/Trask in the 2nd, or overpay for Mac Jones.
  20. Given Fitt's history at Seattle, I would expect us to trade down if the top 4 QBs are gone by 8.
