  1. Honestly surprised he hasn't done this already. It would truly separate himself and the team from the Richardson era. And it'd be a quick easy way to sell merch if they look good.
  2. Call me an optimist, but if we make meaningful additions to the OL, then that would get me to look forward to the season. Obviously, we're not gonna do a whole lot with Rhule and Darnold here but if we can end this season with Rhule gone, and get a QB next offseason then hopefully we'll be on the right track. But I understand everyone's pessimism at the current moment.
  3. If they helped the team, then why shouldn't they get a ring? It's too early in the morning to be this worked up over something this meaningless.
  4. Big preseason game against Columbus today. I won't be able to watch (not even sure if it's being broadcast) but I am hoping for a better outing than we had against Charleston.
  5. I try not to compare CLTFC and the Panthers, but Miguel's brutal honesty is so much more preferable to Rhule's used car pitch.
  6. This preseason has killed any expectations I previously had. Obviously they still need time to build chemistry, but man you'd think that just pure talent should carry you in a match against a USL side. I'm looking forward to the season starting just so that I can actually watch them play and get to know the players. I can read scouting reports all day but watching the games is the best way for me to know what we have.
  7. It did have that feel, but the PI was the only blatantly wrong call. And if we look back to the no call on Tee Higgin's TD, it's a wash.
  8. Did we watch the same game? I was engaged from the jump. And I can only think of two bad calls for the game, one caused a Bengals TD, and one led to a Rams TD.
  9. I wasn't expecting a playoff appearance in the first year. Maybe I would have if we would've signed Arriola or Machis. I'm just hoping for a competitiveness in every game and an improvement as the season progresses.
  10. Not surprised at the sports bar stat. It's become tradition to watch it at home. And most people have work Monday morning lol. Also not surprised that SEC country is not interested. You couldn't pay those folks to care about the NFL.
  11. Charlotte played the friendly against the national team of Grenada. Machis currently plays for La Liga club side Granada (in the Spanish city of Granada). Confusing, but they are different.
  12. I agree, but it was never going to be Red Wolves. https://www.sportingnews.com/us/nfl/news/why-washington-football-teams-new-name-wont-be-redwolves-or-wolves/3z4hlnfgw73y1ewg1n9hpf7q2 Why Washington Football Team won't be 'RedWolves' While "RedWolves" was a popular choice among fans to replace "Washington Football Team," team president Jason Wright announced on Jan. 4 that the organization wouldn't be opting for the name because of potential "legal hurdles." Here's the statement: In short, the name is already trademarked. The team's reported preferred choice was "RedWolves," but the name was already owned in July 2020.
  13. And I said it was a dumb name in my initial post, so we're in agreement there. But there are plenty of other dumb team names in American professional sports that we've gotten used to.
  14. I understand that, but objectively speaking it is a goofy name for a sports team, but we're all used to it by now so it doesn't make a difference.
  15. The name Washington Commanders is dumb but we'll get used to it. I mean there's literally a team called the Browns and that doesn't seem abnormal.
