  1. It's almost impossible to determine intent here. This is a kickoff return, and in real time it's a bang-bang type play. I don't think this rises to the level of an intentional action in order to lose the game.
  2. I said "Transitive property does not apply in sports" to which you said "It does when a guy is demanding full control of your football operations". How am I not to read that as you saying that Tepper was affected by the transitive property of Michigan's wins and losses (ie how who they beat did, and how who they lost to did)? Seems like that's exactly what you're saying, but maybe I'm just misunderstanding.
  3. It may be the case that Tepper has learned from his mistake, but I think you're making a rather large assumption that it was due to Harbaugh losing against TCU. And the full ramifications of that loss were not parsed out until last night when TCU sh*t the bed against Georgia, and that's well after Tepper has supposedly decided against Harbaugh.
  4. Transitive property does not apply in sports. Michigan embarrassed an Ohio St. team (in their own home, I might add) that only lost to Georgia by 1 point.
  5. Lol Bennet will be holding a clipboard for a couple of years then he'll pivot to being a talking head at the halftime show on the SEC network. Hell he might even go straight to punditry, if he's smart.
  6. Seems like the only avenue for Wilks is to snag a shiny OC and draft a rookie QB. Results will be different from last year on those two variables alone, but also he'll have a full offseason to prepare, and (probably) a full season to coach. I'd rather have an offensive minded HC but the fact that the players have rallied behind Wilks and are seemingly united behind him getting the job, as well as now the Panther's media is coalescing around him, is not meaningless. I think it's quite bold of some folks on here to insinuate that they know better than the people who are in the building every day, but what else is new.
  7. I have genuinely never seen a game this bad. Or if I have I’ve blocked it out of my brain as a trauma response.
  8. Fair, but the fact that everyone is linking back to Will still makes me wary.
  9. Y'all can trust what Will Kunkel says if y'all want to. Seems like every time I see one of his "breaking news" tweets about the Panthers, he's just spraying bullsh-t out into the ether and hoping to get engagement from fans who are desperate to hear good news.
  10. A couple of thoughts: I think these kits are gonna be middle of the road, not great, but not offensive in any way. They have big shoes to fill replacing the beauty that was the black and mint kit. Purple and teal would have made more sense, but there is plenty of time to have that color scheme. I will say though, if these specific colors were chosen with any input at all from Ally then that’s terrible. Sponsors should have exactly zero input on anything other than their logo on the kit.
  11. FootyHeadlines, a typically reliable source when it comes to kit leaks, has published that this is what the badge and color scheme will look like for Charlotte’s 2023 away kit. This additionally means that Charlotte will carry over its 2022 home kit into the 2023 season. https://www.footyheadlines.com/2022/12/charlotte-fc-2023-away-kit.html?m=1
  12. https://www.charlottefootballclub.com/schedule/matches#competition=all&date=2023-02-25 Looks like we only have one nationally televised game currently scheduled, which is against Atlanta at home on March 11.
  13. We got LA Galaxy as our first ever home game and St. Louis gets a second year expansion team. Oh well, I guess.
  14. Were you not watching last year when we did exactly this? It brought people back for about 1 game then we kept losing and it deflated the whole thing. It wouldn't even go half as well as it did last year, and that's a low bar. Doing it again would make it feel even more like a gimmick. I can't fathom how this is even still an idea in people's heads.
  15. If SF do well in the playoffs, there will be a million. Also I was very intrigued when I saw the thread title and saw that you were the author, as you're not one to get caught up in the Huddle's prevailing winds of the hour. But when I opened it, it made more sense lol.
  16. Two 5-8 teams, so someone's gotta lose. It's not unreasonable that most people think that the road team with QBs who can't stop throwing INTs is not going to win. This is a good game to see how Wilks prepares the team when we're not outright underdogs. I hope he passes the test.
  17. You just gave me a logical scenario to re-sign him after you said there are no logical scenarios to re-sign him. I think people are mistaking my position that I'm advocating for it to happen. All I'm saying is that if it does happen, it could make sense, depending on the context.
