Yeah, you're still having trouble taking a direct statements from Rhule. Also, no not everyone predicted 5 wins. A lot of people that had eyes, evaluated Bridgewater's career, the moves in the off-season, and the shakeup in coaching did. Go read the prediction thread. There's quite a few people in this thread, and especially on this forum with egg on their face consistently from making awful predictions that form no relation to reality. Some of them literally speak in the form of manifestation, it's why some of us were banned for being "negative" aka pointing out reality and trying to move the discussion to who should we seek at QB in the off-season.

I was also called a troll for pointing out that Bridgewater wasn't making the throws he needed to make to put the team on his back and win games last year. 0-8 in game finishes, and I get banned for stating a fact that Bridgewater didn't have the arm to move the ball down the field when needed. I'll stick to my own opinions, it's why I wasn't surprised going into this off-season with 5 wins (predicted), Teddy producing slightly over his best year with elite players around him (predicted), and the Panthers being out of reach of the top QBs (predicted), and having to panic to replace him the following off-season (predicted). This isn't shocking to people with the slightest ability to think for themselves.

Right back to Gettleman mode of never question the FO moves. This is our GM's 3rd/4th QB option. He tried to trade for Stafford, was in the talks to move up to 3, and then panicked and traded for Darnold, a historically horrific QB (statistically). Ok.

It's going to be at least 2 more years, and that's if he doesn't improve to just being league average bad, not league leading horrific that he's been his first 3 years in the NFL. My reasoning is he looks a lot like the typical Carolina white guy, and that goes a loooong way with fan approval. There's going to be some diehard defenders for some atrocious quarterbacking.
