Positive Vibes - Sam Darnold Edition**
Panthers Rhule replied to SetfreexX's topic in Carolina Panthers
Most of Darnold's problems came when nothing was there. When it was he usually was spot on. But when the play was broken and he had no one to throw too he just tried to make something happen. That was the problem and that's why we brought him here. Because of that experience, he developed some bad habits which our staff is trying to fix but he has it. Darnold is going to be the comeback player of the year and will only keep improving with time. We will finally have a real franchise QB. Just give it time and you'll see. -
'Twas the night before kickoff...

Great job man!!! I really thought that was clever. -
I don't care. He doesn't play here anymore. Thanks for the memories but ex players are like ex girlfriends. It was fun while it lasted but I've moved on and you should too.

Jets WR Crowder is OUT for week 1 vs Panthers
Panthers Rhule replied to SgtJoo's topic in Carolina Panthers
I personally expect a blowout Sunday. The Homer in me may allow me to believe we'll win when I shouldn't but in this game that's not the case. Our staff game plans very well. That's the reason last year's team that was devoid of much talent managed to be in so many games. They confuse teams and hide their faults extremely well. This Jets' team is even younger than we are and that includes their new staff. Our line isn't great but it wasn't great last season either and yet they performed in the middle of the league because of the way we play. In the Stealers half we saw it. They tried different things to see what worked with different results. What I saw in that 1st half is when we tried to stretch the field on every play we struggled but when we ran the short game we were very efficient. From there, we saw the slower to develop plays become possible like that last TD pass. I expect us to come out and move the chains early by running quick slants from a variety of formations and going to many different targets. Putting the defense on their heels. We will mix in CMC runs and short outs and the occasional mid-range pass. Every so often often CMC will start to find holes like Hubbard did but he'll be far more dangerous when he does. As the game progresses Darnold will grow more confident and CMC will eat them alive. Then on defense, I expect them to have some success running the ball on us early but eventually our offensive pressure will force them out of relying on it too heavily. This is when we will start to put the game away. I expect at least 2 interceptions and a few sacks. Their rookie QB has never seen what we will bring at him before and no matter how talented he is it will have an effect. They will start to fall apart and the avalanche will come. Panthers 34, Jets 6 It all begins now. -
One thing about QBs who are legitimate running threats, one name almost never comes up because he throws the ball so damn well but Allen runs for a lot of TDs. I would love to see Darnold and the Panthers find a way to emulate some of that success into our redzone scheme. Darnold is athletic and big enough to have success doing that I think.

Let me know if you get in now.

WAIT! I see the problem. You switched the group number. the correct number is 46358

ok, now i'm in. Everything looks ok. I checked the details and the password hasn't changed. Are you trying to log in again Dave? For me, once I've logged in, I don't have to do it again. I did try to do that the 2nd time and also had the password error because I was already logged in. Can you try to going to the page from your last successful visit? Try using the link from your history from the last time you were there. Then, if that works, add the page to your "favorites" bar and always enter from there. Let me know if that works for you.

Hey guys, I'm not sure what's the problem but I can't log into the site at all right now. Perhaps they are having technical difficulties. I'll kkep trying to get into the site but in theory, once you've logged in and saved the password you should be able to just enter. At least for me that's how it's been. Can anyone here get into the site?

I'd be disappointed if we all didn't have that same handicap. Keep Pounding!

Welcome bro! I always wanted to do something like this. That brings us up to 18. No drama just football. Should be fun.

Right? I actually have 2 chickens and they love eggs. Always seemed odd to me but they surprise me all the time. They are much more aware than I thought they were. They actually respond when I yell at them. I had another before that was almost creepy smart. She would sneak into the house like a ninja and hide if a door was open in the warmer months and pretend she wasn't if I caught her. But I didn't always catch her.
-
With Random PF we have 15. Not a lot of different picks the first week but they're there. By the end of the season it should be interesting. Last call to play is 5 minutes before 1st game time so there's still time if you'd like to join.
-
Have I ever mentioned my obsession with chicken? I eat it 5 times a day.

Not a problem. Thank you for your help in getting this started. I had to run off for a meeting and couldn't do more but you stepped in and really helped a lot. It's a really cool side to the Huddle that sometimes gets lost among the nonsense. This should be fun. I was also happy to see so many Huddlers that I had liked before because of the way they post about things join our group. Panthers' fans doing something fun for the love of the game is worth the time. I'll also try to make a thread each week about the results so we all can discuss games and future games if they want to. Also, it's not my group but our group so anyone who's a member feel free to create threads yourself as well. It's just for fun so have fun.

And Horn. He's a part of the equation too. We didn't pass on Fields to draft Darnold. We got Darnold to draft Horn.
-
Thanks all for joining. This should be fun. I've always wanted to do this with a large group like this. I love that Carolina has 90% of the votes to win for all picks of all groups. 9 out of 10 people think we're better than the Jets! Woohoo!
-
Sorry about that. I was in a hurry. I wasn't planning to do all of this but when Scott showed that to me I wanted to set it up before it was too late with the first game tonight and all.
