  1. I love Fitz, I really do. Great guy, cool guy, family guy but no. I really don't get all of the QB mentor stuff anyway to be honest. Very few QBs mentor anyone. It's the QB coach's job to mentor QBs and maybe a little an OC or HC but not a QBs job. We have a well respected QB coach. Let him do his job and mentor him.
  2. It was just the first example I found of someone saying he has an elite arm. But as I said above, I apologize if I've made you mad. I regress. Please continue thrashing the kid.
  3. 77 yards. Dude has a rocket launcher for an arm. He throws farther than Malik!
  4. Seriously. 77 yards in the air 4 years ago after H.S. is a total rag arm. https://www.saturdaydownsouth.com/sec-football/video-5-star-sec-target-matt-corral-throws-77-yard-pass-opening/#:~:text=2018 CA QB %26 former %23USC Commit Matt,in the video below around the 2%3A24 mark.
  5. That was my point. He doesn't need a mentor to RPO. We will use it some I'm sure. Especially bootlegs I'd imagine but he needs to learn how to play the position in an NFL style offense or they'll get him killed.
  6. I think that face was more of a reaction to Dave's lines of questioning. He often gets people to make funny faces after his questions.
  7. He already knows how to RPO. He's needs a mentor for the other stuff.
  8. He measured 6'2", 212 lbs. I think it was at the pro day If you watch the Simms' video he talks about him being bigger than he expected too.
  9. After seeing that Corral was the pick, it reminded me of an interview that McAdoo did a couple of weeks ago. At the time, I immediately thought of Corral. McAdoo was foreshadowing this pick. Here's what he said: “I’m a big swing for the fences kind of guy, so just because you’re ready doesn’t mean you’re going to be the best. Ready does factor in some scenarios. I think experience obviously helps, the more games that you play helps. Experiences in what type of systems you played in may help some guys over others. At the end of the day, you have to pick a player that you’re going to be happy with at that position hopefully for the next decade. Readiness plays a part but is not everything.” McAdoo also mentioned how some quarterbacks will be in a better position than other due to the systems they played in at college. The one quarterback that has the most question marks surrounding the transition to the NFL because of the offense he played in is Ole Miss quarterback Matt Corral. Lane Kiffin runs a very simplified offense that really runs through the RPO and dinks and dunks in the passing game. Is that a turn off for someone like McAdoo? Maybe, but he did say being in those types of offenses can be beneficial. "When these guys play in these RPO offenses, they usually have a pretty good feel on where to go with the ball and they pull the trigger pretty quickly. I think those are two things that are very valuable in this league." Full article: Ben McAdoo on Scouting QBs: 'I'm a Big Swing for the Fences Kind of Guy' (msn.com)
  10. I'm going to earl laughing when Howell drops down into our trade zone for Robby and we actually land their top pick and the their top QB too. Not Rhules top QB but Fitts'.
  11. Are you that sure Willis is the next QB taken?
  12. Loving his press conference right now. He's very likable and very happy to be here. Imagine not only making the NFL but playing for your team as their first pick.
  13. Not Willis though. He doesn't fit us at all. Maybe another team but not us.
  14. Actually I forgot the Lions aren't at 34 anymore. Why would Willis be perfect for TB? He's the anti-Brady
  15. I hope one of those calls is from Atlanta wanting to jump the Lions to draft Willis.
