It's good to see positions that are or were considered weaknesses shine in the preseason. Top players were on the OL and at QB, and DL and LB. That's a pleasant surprise.

Official Bills at Panthers GameDay Thread

As long as you know you have a bad coach. I haven't reached that conclusion yet. I'm not saying he's good nor bad. I know last season's offensive collapse was hard. It was hard for me too but Brady sucked. We all can agree on that. That's on Matt maybe. I don't know. It's very possible. But he admitted his mistake and made a change. One could say that his timing was terrible and a sign of an idiot, or one could say that maybe it wasn't his decision and he had to convince someone, orrrr, someone else made the decision and it had nothing to do with Rhule. I have no idea. But I do know that I feel more confident with what we have this season compared to any other season recently. I never like Baker honestly. But I thought he was a good QB who needed time to grow and he was at Cleveland. Cleveland eats young QBs. But He did pretty well considering all the mess that is Cleveland. But after watching him lately, I see someone different. He looks different. He's intense. He looks focused. I still can't say that I like him yet but I can say I'm starting to believe in him. He's starting to look like guy that be your guy. I saw an interview talking about the pay cut and he said he isn't in it for the money. He's in it for the love of the game. That interview changed my opinion of him because I know it's at least partially true. He took the pay cut for sure. His motivations I believe him but only he knows everything.

I wasn't referring to him but myself but I already knew that you understand nothing. (Just on the sports message board, of course) Also the glass is neither half empty nor half full. It's completely full. Half water and half air. *smiles*

It's just more fun than being angry all the time. It's how I try to live my life about everything. My philosophy is that if you can't believe in something good then what's the point of anything? Just to make sure you understood the intent, I was saying that I was one of the darkside not you, because my opinion isn't popular but yours is. And thanks for the respect. I appreciate that comment.

How many Superb Owls is that in total among your 12 examples? Belichick, Walsh and Knoll have how many? Wait I need to take off my shoes. All 3 needed more than 2 seasons to even have a winning record. What's your point?
-
Dude, that actually is a very reasonable take and great examples as 2 of the winningest coaches ever. Bill Walsh also didn't have a winning season until his 3rd year. Then the 4th year went down again and after that? Dynasty. So that's the top 3 winningest coaches of all time started slowly.

Aqib Talib is a HORRIBLE HUMAN WHO I HOPE GOES TO HELL

I'm not a lawyer but isn't that accessory to crime at least? I found this definition: Accessory to a crime = Being an accessory to a crime means that you helped the principal offender either commit a crime or get away with a crime. It is a very serious criminal offense. It is not necessary to plan in advance to be considered an accessory. You also do not have to know that a crime would occur or even be present for the crime committed. -
I think it's his marketing. I found these images.

What Will Have the Biggest Impact on our Offense?
Panthers Rhule replied to coffee's topic in Carolina Panthers
Coaching. I think our offensive staff is much better and that will make everyone better. -
I'll try one more time. this is less slow and I think it's clearer. You can definitely see him turn his head and at contact Kenny is at his back even though the guy was running forward. That means he's looking backwards. If he wasn't, Kenny's hit should be in his chest as he was running straight at him and he would have made some type of move to defend himself which he doesn't because he doesn't see it coming. slomo.mp4

That's not the same as shopping him. It says they have received calls. In on every deal. And him not playing though minor injuries for a spot has nothing to do with Rhule.
-
I don't believe he ever had anything to do with draft/FA decisions besides giving his input on a particular player and the type of players the team was looking for. I remember something about him wanting to trade down the first season for more picks but Hurney wanted Brown. I think year 2 he asked for more picks for depth and Fitts obliged but it was his decision. Not Mat's.

Except you're wrong. The only ones calling us a clown show are around here. Many of those shows were talking about our improved roster and how Baker could take this teams to the playoffs. That's good marketing. It's genius.
-
Lol, you guys just don't get it. This decision was already made long before now and the team already knew it. All the signs were there if you read body language and other signs like RA asking Baker for extra reps. He already knew. The reason for this fake QB competition is simple. FREE PUBLICITY!!! It's called marketing. It is a business and like all businesses advertising is important. Free advertising is priceless. Can you not see how many shows and articles were about the Panthers specifically BECAUSE of this so-called competition? We were talked about by everyone for weeks on all the major and minor shows. That's free advertising. It's genius if you are smart enough to see it. If not I can't help you. I can only lead you to water. I can't make you drink it.

Besides Rhule what are your concerns for the season?
Panthers Rhule replied to Tr3ach's topic in Carolina Panthers
Maybe but I think people misunderstood the run the ball comments. If I remember well, the context is that we must be able to run the ball and especially in the 4th qtr. He never said he wanted to be a running team I don't think. Correct me if I'm wrong. If this is the case then he's correct. When you take a decent lead into the 4th and are able to move the chains by running the football you win because you take away the other teams chances of scoring enough to beat you. Moving the chains and eating clock in the 4th with the lead seals the deal and I believe that was what he was speaking about. A lot of successful passing teams do it using play action and play action only works if the other team believes you might actually run the ball. Last season, we were not doing that and that's when Rhule made those comments. -

This is a good point and I don't know the answer to that. However, has he ever had a decent RB? I honestly can't think of any decent RB on those Giants' teams. CMC is a great RB and behind him doesn't look too bad either. Could that make the difference? We also don't know what he was asked to do in NY. Just because someone hasn't done something doesn't mean they can't. I certainly hope he can.
