I don't think they brought him here to block. He's here to attack the middle of the field for 1st downs and stop teams from concentrating on the outside only. He should give our offense another dimension that we were lacking last season. Solid pick up.

Ok, this is nice little signing. 26 yrs old, cheap and stretches the field. Averaged 14.1 yards per catch and had 24 1st downs. Looks like we're using analytics in this FA. I'm really loving this free agency so far. This is the most interesting and exciting FA I can recall. I would say even if there aren't any really flashy signings but I think it's actually BECAUSE there aren't any flashy signings and instead look intelligently designed to improve depth and add specific productivity at an affordable price. This is exactly how I think a smart organization is supposed to treat the off season. Are we watching Moneyball here? I'm feeling something strange and unfamiliar. Is it hope?

Panthers Free Agent Signings Thread
Panthers Rhule replied to Ricky Spanish's topic in Carolina Panthers
I'm not really familiar with Adoree beyond what I've read about him. He doesn't look like a bad player but why does he fit what our coaches want at CB exactly? I don't see that connection. -
Go on record. Who still wants Watson?

Whoever posted this thread is really lacking in judgment. Aren't the other 2 threads dedicated to this BS enough? Did we really need another place for everyone to spew hate at one another? Oh we did? OK. -

At 5:22 - 5:32, he's throwing into double coverage. It's a great pass for sure. But was it the right read? He has single coverage on the opposite side and both receivers are more open, are they not?

Is he making 10 mil a year? I saw something about 4.5 mil Kyle Fuller Kyle Brandon Fuller Position: CB 5-11, 194lb (180cm, 87kg) Team: Chicago Bears Born: February 16, 1992 (Age: 29-031d) in Baltimore, MD College: Virginia Tech (College Stats) Weighted Career AV (100-95-...): 44 (2230th overall since 1960) High School: Mount St. Joseph (MD) Draft: Chicago Bears in the 1st round (14th overall) of the 2014 NFL Draft. Current salary: 4,500,000

Just looked at his current salary, if we have the space and he'll take a similar offer then yeah we should definitely take a shot. He's been a solid player for years and still under 30. He would make another good addition to our new defense. If they wanted him to take a pay cut then perhaps we could get him for 4-5 mil a year? I have no idea how much space we have right now though. But I must say I'm liking this off season so far. Regardless of what happens at QB I'm feeling good about heading into next season.

I would like to hear that we had a decent true FS in mind. I know we might not have 2 great CBs but we have a lot of them. Seems like we're really lacking FSs though unless I'm forgetting someone. Or we have a player listed somewhere else who can play that role.
-
Also, besides the CB all of our FAs are between the ages of 25-28? I like that we're staying young even in FA.

So almost 20% of his catches are for TDs. If nothing else he's a redzone specialist and that was a point of weakness for us last season so sound good to me.

Not according to the science. Nine women being attacked in this way over the course of one year could be considered a stretch too. Not one reporting it to anyone before or contacting police could be seen as a stretch too. This lawyer being the contact of all victims could be seen as a stretch too. Non one reporting anything until Texans are ready to trade him could be seen as a stretch too. The science mentions nothing about odds of probability. It's true with everyone and all types of people. Ever tried the word of mouth game? Say one thing to one person and let them repeat it till the end and it-s completely wrong. Ever seen a fight and asked everyone what happened. Everyone says something completely different? Groups can even increase the odds of false memory.

Sorry, but that is inaccurate. In psychology it's referred to as false memories. The difference of memory from reality is exasperated with time and can even be manipulated. This has been studied thoroughly and proven to be true. So, a person can believe what they are saying is true because they have convinced themselves that it is true or have been lead into believing they remember something in a particular way. This is often the problem with people making accusations long after events have taken place. There have even been studies about this and how even a recent event can be falsely remembered particularly if there is manipulation involved. So the point is, it's been proven that people can remember things incorrectly after even a short period of time and the longer that time is the more the memory can differentiate from reality. It's also been proven that a person's memory can be manipulated to a certain goal. The ladies could actually not be liars and yet at the same time not be telling what really happened. Yeah man, I actually didn't mean to imply that you were and SJW and I definitely didn't want to get into a name calling situation. I was getting irritated in general and I meant the comment in general and not at you. There were a lot of different conversations going on at the same time and it was just all going away from football and into other realms. I specifically joined this site to avoid these kind of conversations and felt myself being pulled into them and needed to step away for a little and refocus. I came back into this conversation only to apologize to you and set the record straight. Didn't mean to come across as attacking you. This is a very emotional topic for me as well. My sister and her daughter have both been in abusive relationships and both have been put into the hospital by abusive boyfriends. I have seen what they went through and both went to the police and had physical injuries and immediately talked to people about what happened. I understand that everyone is different but these accusations are really serious and there must be some sort of collaboration and I just can't believe that no one either went to is is going to involve police. If they aren't then their lawyer should be instead of talking to and leaking information to the media. The way that this is happening so far is what contributes to victims of assault not being believed. Especially in todays society. This is not the correct way to deal with predator's and it isn't helping anyone and even the women if these events actually occurred as leaked and it's not protecting other potential victims as it's not removing the problem. Now, I will stick to the football conversations.

If this is true, he is a SERIAL RAPIST!!! Shouldn't they be speaking with the Police instead of suing for damages? Surely 9 of them with a rich, famous and powerful attorney can go to the police now, can't they??? " especially when the accused is rich, famous or powerful." That's definitely the message the lawyer is trying to put out there publicly, isn't it. He's trying to convict in the media and rallying support with that kind of language. I would think rape victims would want this done out of the media and with the proper authorities. He is a serial rapist now after all.
-
Nine?!!! How in the world is the the first time we've heard anything like this. Nine people were sexually assaulted and not one ever said anything until now? Not one ever filed a police report? So Deshaun Watson is a serial rapist now??? Is anyone calling the police? If this is true how can they let him walk the streets???!!! And are they all named Jane Doe?
-
The only way I could see this as being remotely true is if they want CMC in the deal.
-
Why trade up for them? They're both going to be there 8.

Not if the QB is laying on his back or running for his life which looking at this roster could be the case. -
Deshaun Allegations detailed (not good)
Panthers Rhule replied to Mills's topic in Carolina Panthers
This is a big jump from pervert to rapist. What are the next 3 going to allege? That he's a serial rapist? No one filed a report to the police? The one at the ATL hotel is interesting as there should be security video of he leaving and then there's the UBER drive who could testify as to her behavior. But these allegations are going to get the police involved, no? -
Yes, I noticed that too. We are staying young. Makes the Kerr cut understandable now as well. When it happened I was like what? Now I'm like ohhh!
