I personally believe he and Frank wanted Stroud and that's why they were fired so early because they weren't on the Young team and they got blamed for not wanting him and him not succeeding.

There's another connection to Carolina in Minnesota too. Our QB coach from last season, McCown, is the QB coach for the Vikings now. I find that an interesting twist of fate as well. Josh has his big QB this time.

Panthers need to move on from Young ASAP
Panthers Rhule replied to ProcessBlue2's topic in Carolina Panthers
I get the highly drafted QB bust comparison but that's it. Lance is big, fast with a strong arm. His physical attributes got a 4th. Bryce doesn't have any of those things. I agree that it challenges the narrative that it's all because the team's bad. If the team doesn't look that bad with Dalton then was it really the team? However, one could still say but last season was so bad it shook him. That's probably true too. Why can't both things be true? Can't look desperate if you are hoping for a trade. I thought Riddick hit it pretty good in this one. -

And overpay again? No way. Popeyes chicken sandwich or no deal. -
Well that certainly sounds encouraging. XL thinks they are going to be good. I'm down for that. Let's go!

why don't you chill out bro. You're the one always coming at me with your emotional responses talking about stuff you obviously no nothing about. You think you know better than everyone and argue against points no one is making. I never said he isn't happy but I said he's indifferent and believes it's not his fault. I never criticized him. You just imagined it. All I did was make an observation. So go dream of Cam or whatever it is you do when you're not making empty points about nothing on here. And before you respond about blah blah blah like you always do just know you're ignored. Your conversations are quite basic and not interesting. Have a great life.

Brees' arm was stronger than Bryce's early in his career. it wasn't until the end that he had that problem and that's when his game finally dropped off. I also don't think Bryce is 5'10 like they say. He looks more like 5'8. The hair s about 2 inches in this photo.

Yes I have. Have you? If you know anything about body language which I'm guessing you don't, it communicates what you're really thinking. People lie with words everyday. Very few people have enough control over their bodies to lie with that as well. So, if you want to know the truth, ignore their planned responses and read their body language. You say he's pissed, I don't see pissed. I see indifference. He shrugs his shoulders like 10 times. What does a shoulder shrug usually mean when we communicate? It means I don't know. No me. Not my problem. etc. Everything he said was dismissed as I don't know, no my problem. If he were pissed their should have been more aggressive motions and when people are pissed the eyes narrow. There was non of that. Watch the Dalton video when he got benched in Cinci. He was pissed and his body language shows it. He shakes his head no aggressively when talking about the decision which matches his words that he disagrees with the decision, his eyes narrow and he rocks from side to side leaning in slightly on his right side. That's a sign of aggression which means anger.

His body language is bad. The way he keeps shrugging his shoulders is dismissive. He's not accepting responsibility for his benching. I don't expect him to be here next year. He thinks it's the team's fault. I'm sure his inner circle (mom and dad) are telling him that too.

Baker also has fire in his veins. He's a fighter not a quitter.

You can be a game manager and still take shots can't you? I don't see game managers being limited to short passes. They just don't take shots all the time. They manage the game.

I'm wondering if there was some agreement coming into this season. Like, if Bryce fails we go to Dalton whenever that is and it just came way faster than anticipated. This team is being retooled. Canales isn't famous for working with young QBs but older ones. I think in this offense the QB doesn't have to be better than average to win. Just manage the game and don't make turnovers. Geno and Baker aren't above average QBs yet both went to the playoffs in this system. I haven't made up my mind on Canales even if I've always found him annoying. He makes those weird faces. I don't like that but I liked what I saw the offense was trying to do. There were players open and the run game looked really good we just couldn't use it for very long and benching BY was the right call but ballsy and he took it. I like that. I want to see what happens in the next few games before giving up un Canales.

Poll: Has Bryce Played His Last Snap as a Panther?
Panthers Rhule replied to Captroop's topic in Carolina Panthers
I don't know what a team might think he's worth but if they could get him to ask for a trade and say it ain't me it's them then it may be possible that someone ignores his size and thinks he's a victim of a bad org (which at the moment is true even if I believe he's a big part of the reason but not the only reason). For sure we can't just cut him. We will have to find a way to trade. Probably pay some of his contract or something. I wouldn't expect anything in return at this point. Especially if Dalton can at least make the offense competitive. Look like an NFL offense on the lower side. I'd be happy with that. What's done is done. Holding on to Young at this time doesn't bring your picks and WR back. Like my dad used to say, "Hoping for something bad to be good is like waiting for the bus in the woods" VVV This. I was going to say the exact same thing. I completely agree. I think they both learned something under a top 5 coach. Especially being veterans now with lots of different experiences. Look at Jake Delhome. He was a veteran journeyman and look what he did for us. I wish both of them the best and kind of root for them to be honest. Especially Darnold. I don't know why but I always kinda liked the guy. He's not a dawg but he tried hard I thought. He's still trying with his latest job. I hope he figures it out. -

He'll probably get in a game again but he'll be the same ol' same ol' and won't start the next game. The team turned on him. You could tell by the post game interviews. Unless he wins the boys back to his side he's done. The locker room will keep him off the field. Plus, he looks like he's already quit. -
By US!!!

Dalton never had great physical tools but at least he knows how to play the position. We can at least be serviceable with him in there I think.
-
I agree. He had difficulty doing that weird howdy doody expression he does when answering questions.
-
I'll take it

Must have been the Monday meeting with Tepper. He must have received permission

so I've got to ask.. is it worth it being a fan of this team?
Panthers Rhule replied to rayzor's topic in Carolina Panthers
As long as they have Carolina in their name then it's my team. I quit teams once and I won't do it again unless they leave Carolina. I hate most other teams anyway. I would have to go to the AFC as my old team were the Vikings. I'd probably go with Buffalo or maybe the Dolphins. Those are the 2 AFC teams I pull for even if I don't follow them. I could maybe go for Titans if their whole logo/uni combo wasn't so bad. I like Tennessee as a state mostly -
Is it possible to start an online petition to bench BY?
