Shaq has been solid for us over the years but more importantly, he has been dedicated to the team and the area. He stayed here when he could have left. Even as much as we sucked he's still here and still a positive leader and team guy. I wish Shaq a full recovery and look forward to many more years of his presence.

What does “game manager” truly mean?
Panthers Rhule replied to Gapanthersfan's topic in Carolina Panthers
I've always thought what we now call a game manager is actually just a QB. That's the way QBs had always played. Gunslingers are in this category too imo. They are game managers who sometimes just let it fly better than the others. Big arms and not afraid. The Mobile QBs are in this group too. They also manage the game but out of the pocket mostly. Then the scrambling QBs as well. They manage the game focused on the ground. Basically, all QBs are game managers because that's what the QB is supposed to be. If a QB can't manage the game he shouldn't be playing QB. Us Panthers' fans all know this to be true. -
All I have to say is wow. What a difference 1 week of real Top NFL QB play for the first time in years makes. I honestly can't remember when I saw a Panthers' passing attack like that. I'm sure there's been a couple of games along the way but my last memories are of Cam. Smells like football. Go Panthers!!!

To hear Luke say this about coach means a lot in my mind. I've never heard him speak like that about the others.

Proud to be a Panthers fan for once

I was going to post that too. I must be doing either better or worse in my views because that's happening all the time now. -
I actually came here planning to start a Chuba thread for this very reason. Let's take a moment to appreciate the player that man has become. Do y'all remember when he couldn't catch a pass??? Running back Chuba Hubbard finished with 114 rushing yards, his most since Week 15 of the 2022 season, when he had 125 yards in a win over the Detroit Lions. Hubbard added 55 receiving yards, to finish with 169 scrimmage yards, making it the best all-purpose performance of his NFL career.

I just want to enjoy one game with something resembling an offense first. -
How long before Panthers are good again?

Came to say the exact same thing. Kool-Aid anyone??? -
Nice play by Darnold there. No ghosts on the field anymore. I always liked him and the Vikings were my original team so I'm pulling for them this season.

I agree. To win this game we need to establish the run and stay with it. We need to create an identity today and it needs to be at the line with ground and pound to open up the air attack. I think Chubba has turned into a pretty good RB. We need to use him this game. I would love for us to become a physical team this season and it would work well with Andy I think.

In the first 2 games the Raiders didn't run the ball which would be good since our run D has been terrible. Also, the Raiders D hasn't been good in general but especially their run D so perhaps we can run the ball well today and control the tempo. Force Menshew to air it out again.

It's hard to say what another team will do. I never know what this team will do. I never thought Lance would get a 4th but he did. So, who knows? His size will keep the offers down but because he's a QB I bet someone will give something to take the risk that it was all our fault. Low round picks have little value to in reality so I'm sure someone will offer something. -
I'm wondering if this isn't the real reason we didn't see him in preseason more. Were they hiding him? I remember something like Canales saying he was waiting for Dalton to return so they could evaluate the offense or something like that. Plus XL said Dalton was running with the ones already. There's more to this story than we know at the moment.
