Maybe I'm crazy but seems to me like we should want Sam getting reps in practice and in pre-season games hoping that he looks good enough and that he is legitimately competing closely with Baker so that maybe a QB desperate team will take Sam off of our hands. If you want to sell a car you don't park it in the garage.

I hate no one. Hate only breeds more hate and slowly poisons the hater. If anyone needs proof of this concept just look around you as you go on with your days. You'll see it everywhere.

I agree. I saw these a little while ago at nfl. I think they are horrible. I don't get the League fascination with black uniforms or blacker uniforms as would be the case with us too. It seems half the league wears black or something very close to it in some form.

Joe P : Today could be Darnolds last as QB1
Panthers Rhule replied to Zod's topic in Carolina Panthers
Wish he had said last day as a Panther. Nothing against him as a person but I want Corral to get as many reps as possible. -
Gawd, I hope this kid is the one. He's the kind of player that I would really love supporting for the next 15 years.

Personally, I think it's too early to say if he's good or not. However, I can confidently say that last season's defense was much better than the defense we had before he arrived. Were there weaknesses? Yes. Losing Horn hurt but what hurt the most was when the offense completely collapsed. Every defense suffers from a total lack of offense. The obvious weakness was in the run defense. Was that because we didn't have the personnel? I think so. I don't know if that was because Snow brought in players to fit that concept or if that concept was because those were the best players he had. From what he says, he builds the scheme to fit the players. If that's true then he did an amazing job imo. If that's not true and he brought in players specifically to run that scheme then I'm less confident. I tend to believe in the first scenario and everything they say points in that direction as well, but we'll have a better idea about that after this season. They did attempt to address the issue in the off season though so hopefully those additions at DT and LB pay dividends. I also think adding Woods should help further in the passing defense enabling us to utilize Chinn more.

I was thinking about a new stadium but is that even a possibility?

Was this before or after the 23rd allegation? IMO, it only makes sense if it's a swap. Cleveland will likely have to play a QB not named Watson at some point in the season so they need a back-up but Baker doesn't want to play for them now. He could refuse to play this season for Cleveland. At least Darnold would play. I wouldn't understand the logic between having Baker, Darnold and Corral here. Corral should be backing up one guy, not two.

Yeah, that's a little over 10m per kid.

He was one of my favorite players. I always pulled for him. The best underdog story I can remember. Cool guy.

So, we're body shaming our staff now because all the other attacks just got too boring?
-
The OC who when Rhule said we needed to run the ball more proceeded to run in 8 times the following game obviously. Logic and reason have no place here. Just follow the mantra. Rhules sucks. Everything bad is his fault. Everything good was done by someone else and anything bad that happens in the future will be Rhules' fault and anything good will be because Rhule lets them do their jobs. It's quite simple really. All you need to do is stick your keyboard where the sun doesn't shine, right beside some of these people's heads and you'll fit right in and understand how these things really work.

I would point to all of the players that he recruited at is previous jobs that are now in the NFL. He never recruited from a powerhouse team but from rebuilding programs which all turned around and developed NFL level talent. That doesn't prove he is a good NFL coach but he does prove that he can create an organization that can identify talent and develop that talent to an NFL level. That's already more than most can say. He also can admit mistakes and try to correct those mistakes. As far as letting coaches do their jobs, you're assuming he wasn't doing that before and yet Snow clearly has control of the Defense so why do you presume that Brady didn't have the same? I think he did and he failed and Rhule only got involved when it became obvious that the offense was failing and he made changes as is his responsibility as HC. What evidence do you have to support this accusation that he doesn't allow coaches to do their jobs? I haven't seen nor heard anything from anyone who has ever worked with Rhule that would lead me to that belief. But if you have it then I'm more than ready to read it or listen to it so I can know the truth that you seem to know. I frequent this site specifically because I like learning about things I didn't know so please share with us what you know and your source please. You asked Casillas about his source about Tepper and Keep Pounding so what's your source about Rhule not letting coaches do their jobs?

I'm pretty sure Brady will be hired to replace Erin.

To be fair, I disagree with half of his opinions on that list. I would love for us to ditch the silver. I've always hated that silver. Especially with the sparkles on the helmet.

Next round of contract extensions are no joke
Panthers Rhule replied to TheCasillas's topic in Carolina Panthers
That contract sounds a bit high to me based on his production thus far. I found a list of DE salaries in 2021: DE/Edge Joey Bosa $27,000,000 LAC Myles Garrett $25,000,000 CLE Khalil Mac $23,500,000 CHI DeMarcus Lawrence $21,000,000 DAL Leonard Williams $21,000,000 NYG Frank Clark $20,800,000 KC Von Miller $19,016,667 DEN Trey Flowers $18,000,000 DET Cameron Jordan $17,500,000 NO Dee Ford $17,100,000 SF Arik Armstead $17,000,000 SF Za'Darius Smith $16,500,000 GB Bud Dupree $16,500,000 TEN Chandler Jones $16,500,000 AZ Leonard Floyd $16,000,000 LAR He's weak against the run and he's average or above average as a rusher statistically but he is still young for his experience. But 25m per year would put him at the top of the list. I understand that the cap is expected to go up but I would still consider him more around the 20m per year range at this point. For 25m I'd like to see him take the next step first. -
The next dual threat quarterbacks...
Panthers Rhule replied to Mr. Scot's topic in Carolina Panthers
I've never seen anyone do that before. I was going to say...... This. If he can do that on the move or when trying to escape a crashing pocket and make a throw. Well that could open different possibilities allowing him to make throws others can't because he can comfortably throw no matter which way he's facing. -
I like the new glasses. Go Panthers!!!

2021-Texans 4-13, 2020-Bengals 4-11-1, 2019-Jaguars 6-10 That's all I could find from ESPN. None of them finished 32 but none were very good

The Panthers Have A Strong Social Media Following
Panthers Rhule replied to Butterflyj30's topic in Carolina Panthers
Don't use social media so don't know much about that other than the draft video they did last season. I thought that was fantastic. Was that our social media team? That was great. I was hoping for another one this year.
