  1. You shined Scott Fitterer's shoes more than anyone else in the Carolinas. There's no reason you can't be at least optimistic we didn't hire a retread. As always Tepper and his wife are the wildcard here. No argument.
  2. I mean you could be right but we did just fire a coach with plenty of experience in Reich. Don't jump off a cliff man.
  3. I think you need a middle ground option between love it and indifferent. I like the hire and I feel optimistic and think he can do good things here if Morgan is the right guy and the Tepper's can quit meddling so much. I'm glad we went this route instead of a retread. That's my main takeaway.
  4. I get where you're coming from and totally get the apprehension about any hires made under Tepper. But the angle that because no one else had significant interest as reasoning for why you think the hire is DOA is really pointless. It wouldn't be the first time teams missed out on a good coaching candidate and on the flip side if he fails it will be one more name to the pile. The main thing is we didn't go the retread route. From here each of us can choose to be glass half full or glass half empty. I don't blame anyone for either approach.
  5. Monken is only a few years younger than Reich and won't have an MVP candidate at QB. Why does his name keep coming up?
  6. If Mr. Scot has concerns after all his carrying water for Scott Fitterer then I'm sold.
  7. Anytime you hire a first time head coach it's boom or bust. But we had to make this fresh start gamble. Another retread just wasn't going to cut it. I have a lot of hope for Canales. We'll see how it shakes out.
  8. This is where I'm at as well. Vrabel is a capable head coach and I think the Titans did him dirty but it is probably best for us to just have a fresh restart altogether.
  9. I would be fine with Canales idk why you guys are suddenly worried about who is or isn't interested. Matt Rhule was a hot name and had interest from multiple teams. Let's not get carried away with the theatrics here.
  10. It had to happen but I hate seeing him go to the Heat. Hate it. So long Terry good luck.
  11. Damn. It's as bad as we thought.
  12. I feel you on that completely I was firmly of the opinion Stroud was the #1 by a significant margin followed by Richardson then Bryce and Levis interchangeably. I am still hoping BY has a tremendous offseason and somehow salvages things because it's January and I don't want to be miserable. We'll see.
  13. So I take it there will be minimal change to the scouting department overall after what has been some of the worst drafting in franchise history?
  14. Isn't John Lynch the only applicable comparison anyway? After Bryce Young maybe we should take it easy drawing parallels to justify team decisions for awhile. Just saying.
  15. This is either going to be really good or really bad. Hoping for the best.
  16. I like Dan Morgan a lot. I think he has the capability and knowledge for good things. The concern is how much he was involved with what we've seen transpire the last 24 months or so. From top to bottom it was a disaster. Hiring from within that is going to be a tough sell. But I'm hoping it works out and he's the guy. That's all I can do.
  17. Such is the absurd arrogance of Scott Fitterer and David Tepper.
  18. Honestly? Fug the Bills. It's good for us they are failing. Tired of hearing about former Panthers this former Panthers that like we missed out on guys who could have made us a dynasty or something. At best Beane and McDermott have replicated the mid 2010's Panthers and they can't get over the hump. Good!
  19. If the Bills can't get to the Super Bowl with Josh Allen there's no way in hell the Dolphins are with Tua even with all that talent. There goes the one comparison BY extremists had to cling to. And like the Sam Darnold to Ryan Tannehill comparison a few years ago before Sam had his meltdown this has gone down in flames too. People here need to start learning.
  20. We've been flailing around making moves for QB's going on 4 years now and each time we've been worse off for it. Leave it alone and reassess in 2025 and if you need to draft one then go for it. Odds are 95% we will have a top ten pick.
  21. F for faceplant. The David and Nicole Tepper era folks.
