I was a Panthers fan before the Tepper's and I'll be one after. If folks like you want to shine shoes you're welcome to do so. Maybe Dave and Nicole will notice you and give you a pat on the head big guy. Keep your dream alive.

lol @ pooing posts over this. Enjoy another losing season.

It's only newsworthy for some folks who want to simp for whatever reason. Anyone with eyes and a functioning brain only has to go back to CJ Stroud's proday. No warm embrace from either of the Tepper's and we barely got a glimpse of Dave. It was Reich and McCown who were beaming from ear to ear. But no all along Nicole was staunchly pro Stroud.

She liked CJ Stroud so much it took almost an entire calender year for this to come out? I've got a very lovely bridge to sell anyone that believes this.

Division Talk: Falcons are heavy favorites to land Justin Fields
frankw replied to WarPanthers89's topic in Carolina Panthers
The Falcons have a pretty good versatile young playmaker at RB and a possible stud TE if he develops but what else really? Fields has to take several steps as a passer for me to be too worried about him joining the Falcons. We'll see. -
Panthers building new training facilities
frankw replied to TheSpecialJuan's topic in Carolina Panthers
From a sprawling state of the art practice facility to a "fieldhouse"? -
I do too. I was rather underwhelmed by the hire. I'm not reading much into anything Dan or Dave Canales are saying at the combine or the upcoming draft at this point. Been there done that buying into fluff and hype. The Panthers social media has bamboozled us time and time again. Talk is cheap. I'm all about that action. Show me results.

The Bucks are going in dry tonight. Well it was fun while it lasted ya'll.

One of the best elite WR's in years and he will only be turning 25 this summer? Definitely kick the tires. But he also has to want to be here. I mean the Vikings aren't exactly a top notch destination but we're in the cellar until proven otherwise. I know and I understand why people don't want to hear it because many of us want instant results but if we are going to turn this around it's going to have to be via very good drafting.

That's Dr. Lunker aka Mr. Tepper's personal shoe shiner. Don't give him attention.

That was awesome. Just be careful out here some of these young guys are quick to get into the gunplay nowadays. Glad it only ended with some hurt egos.

I think it's misguided to put the lack of culture on any single player. Particularly those on defense when the most important player on the team finished with one of the lowest yards per attempt in NFL history. By midseason every other defense out there including ours because they practice against each other knew we were limited and some throws and basically half the field were simply off the table that was pretty much it. I wouldn't be inclined to go full bore and risk my career to a fluke injury watching Bryce Young's historic rookie season either. We can keep pointing fingers but whether it's Brian Burns or Derrick Brown or whichever FA or rookie pass rusher we acquire if our offense doesn't begin to resemble an actual NFL unit eventually anyone is going to get tired of it and stop going the extra mile. I'm fully on board with switching more resources to the offense because that's where the league is going. But we should be clear with each other right here right now that if our pass rush looks like ass in the regular season some of ya'll are going to flip flop and be rage posting about it. Don't kid yourselves.

I've gone back and forth on Burns for the last few months. At the end of the day no matter which side I fall into one aspect that does not change is all this feels eerily familiar to the discussions we had about both Christian McCaffrey and DJ Moore. Remember that at one point even Derrick Brown was talked about the way Brian Burns is now. I put the odds at 85% that if he is traded to a good franchise he experiences a career resurgence and we see a lot of tunes change here about him and folks act like they didn't want to trade him.

His avatar being him walking with his luggage is amusing.

Honestly fug Russell Wilson.

Getting Crunch Time for the Panthers and Brian Burns
frankw replied to 45catfan's topic in Carolina Panthers
I'm torn between both viewpoints here because both are valid. It's fine to feel either way. But we can also be realistic and grapple with the possibility Burns has a career resurgence at his next destination. It's become like a Panthers tradition at this point. -
Well in total fairness I wouldn't even categorize what we gave him as NFL coaching. Just straight garbage. I've already said he's been coddled I don't know what more I can do to acknowledge he needs to nut up as a top pick and fully reset everything. Get people out of your ear telling you what you want to hear and get in the weight room. It will either happen or we will be drafting a QB next year like we've been talking about for weeks now. We'll see.

His height isn't changing. The mechanics can definitely be worked on. Again the issue is Bryce himself. He needs to be challenged hard. I honestly get Sam Darnold vibes from him as far as how people in college have praised him until the NFL put him through the meat grinder and now he's culture shocked. He's either going to put in some work or he's going to be another clock in clock out QB like Darnold. Simple as that for me.

Getting Crunch Time for the Panthers and Brian Burns
frankw replied to 45catfan's topic in Carolina Panthers
I have little doubt he would have been pretty damn good with the Rams. Different culture different expectations different coaching. I'm not absolving Brian of any of what transpired but as you said the issue is replacing and upgrading. If he's so bad we should be able to do that relatively easy no? Or could it be the huddle is doing what we've always done and thinking the grass is greener until we realize we're standing in the midst of a grease fire? I think the tag is the best course of action going forward. See how he responds to the new staff and Dan Morgan. I am particularly curious to see how Dan approaches this. Now I'll be the first to tell you I am skeptical at best at how he will be at drafting. But as far as knowing top end defensive talent when he sees it I will trust Morgan in that area. If he thinks Burns is part of the future I'll accept that. If not listen to offers.
