  1. Borrego had this team looking like one of the best in the NBA the first half of the season so I will give him the opportunity to show me more but he can't make these baskets for them. If there were ever a time to show there is a clutch gene now would be it for a franchise in such desperate need of some semblance of postseason success. Miles Terry and Lamelo are the core to build around. Gordon could be too but it just does not look like he is going to break the career trend of getting injured and missing significant playing time. From there everything else should be wide open.
  2. They keep trying to give Graham these looks at three with the game on the line and he keeps coming up short. Disappointing.
  3. If this thread is any indication there are some sad dudes out there who can't let the Cam thing go one way or the other. If you are still hating on him or still trying to convince yourself he will return to mvp form you might need to talk to somebody.
  4. See there is being honest about how he may play on the field moving forward based on his health and then there is ignorance like this based on his personal life. You should really focus on being less of a goof and putting more positivity in the world.
  5. Well we still don't know what the league will do about all this or if this is actually the end of this public turmoil for Watson. From the Panthers perspective they seem set with Darnold so if Watson were to become an option again it would be many months from now.
  6. It doesn't matter how many shots guys make if they can't make them when the game is on the line. There are only a few players on the current roster who have proven that. Injuries have absolutely played a part in recent struggles but only sniffing the playoffs and quickly exiting shouldn't be the bar. If the city wants to maximize the talent of Lamelo and actually keep him here they need to lure other top shelf talent and to do that they cannot afford to keep paying for average basketball or feel good stories. Do you want a winner or do you want to remain a bottom feeder who might occasionally contend for a playoff spot?
  7. The steep cost does not line up with his awful judgement as someone who should be meticulous with his decision making as the face of a major sports franchise.
  8. Bad calls by the refs or not the team looks atrocious at the end of games as of late and when the Knicks are sinking threes on you in overtime and you're chucking up airballs it's a wrap. This team will probably get throttled in the playoffs if they even make it in. Some guys with paydays coming up are showing their worth and it isn't looking good. The team can upgrade at multiple positions at this point. I've seen enough Horncats trash sorry just calling it like I see it.
  9. Dick riding billionaires and disparaging cities. The huddle does not disappoint.
  10. You worry far too much what other people think. There are moderators here they don't need a hall monitor too.
  11. @AceBoogie You can poo every post in this thread but it won't bring back prime Cam Newton. It hurts but you need to let go and move on my guy.
  12. Sadly it is more than evident at this stage in his career. The arm has not looked the same in years. I hate it for him and I would be thrilled if he had a resurgent season but there are few fairytale endings in sports.
  13. If he wears big boy drawers why wouldn't he take it upon himself to speak up? He was paid to be the guy. The Panthers had him all over social media. This was his big opportunity to showcase what he had again and his best excuse is the coaches didn't make him practice enough? He is grinning from ear to ear while telling everyone he has no leadership. I'm not even mad at him I'm more disappointed in the staff for buying into that fools gold the first year into the new regime after all the talk of a rebuild and a process.
  14. The sweater with Teddy bears on it about sums it all up. 60 million dollars and you need to be told to practice your craft? Enjoy Denver.
  15. Well you can't say the Panthers and even the league itself now aren't trying to give Sam a leg up on his transition from a bad situation to redemption and a fresh start. Hopefully he seizes this opportunity.
  16. I don't see him being traded anywhere outside the afc if he is that disgruntled. The Packers haven't handled this well but I don't think they are that dumb.
  17. One of my favorite comedies. Very underrated film with a great cast. RIP Bernie Mac.
  18. There is optimism and then there is coping with circumstances. Threads like this one display the latter. It's as if people think standing in front of a mirror saying something enough times makes it true.
  19. Low energy low effort no spark. If Miles Bridges is this important they need to pay that man.
  20. Are you going to spend mother's day following me from thread to thread?
  21. The Saints have the hardware to mock us into oblivion if they so choose. The once lowly Bucs whose tacky uniforms from yesteryear made them the joke of the league now run the division with two trophies. If not for the first pick in the 2011 draft the last ten years for the Carolina Panthers would have been a comedy of mediocrity like Billy Volek and any other washed up journeyman quarterback around that time. Yet I visit here and see people griping about the new fans the team has brought in. The delusion is wild.
  22. Anything is possible but there are lofty expectations floating around. You don't think he will put up yards and points in this offense? The question is will he also pile up turnovers especially if the line does not come together as quickly as the front office hopes. It is a gamble that we are once again closing our eyes and hoping for the best at left tackle. Despite all the optimistic takes we are going on seven years now since our last legitimate starter protected the blindside of our qb. All the fluff pieces in the world can't change that overnight.
  23. There is certainly justification in fans not being sold on our efforts this year to shore up the offensive line after years of mismanagement. We basically punted at left tackle again by pitting a 3rd round rookie against an oft injured castoff tackle released from a team uninterested in retaining his services. Apparently some folks think no front office executives in the league have been wrong before. If an echo chamber and condescension to anyone who thinks differently is what you seek maybe catscratchreader is more in your wheelhouse.
