You will always be a Falcons fan rage quitter.

Lack of experience wasn't the issue against Indiana that was just putrid basketball and barely even pro level in some aspects. The last thing the franchise needs to do is rest on the hollow accomplishments made earlier in the season. I will trust that Mitch knows what he is looking at but there should be no excuses for the effort in the final game that's what people remember that's the last image of the 2020-21 Hornets.

Panthers fall in new ESPN Power Rankings
frankw replied to CarolinaLivin's topic in Carolina Panthers
The Panthers are 2-6 against the Falcons since 2017 and Atlanta just improved their offense while Carolina is betting on Sam Darnold so yeah that's unfortunately fair until proven otherwise. As for Chicago I had to go look it up. We have beaten them one time in the last decade. https://www.panthers.com/history/series/carolina-vs-chicago#:~:text=All-Time Series%3A Panthers vs,all-time against the Bears. -
It will be a beautiful day when #1 retires a Carolina Panther. We can finally put all this ugly nonsense among the fans to rest and celebrate his career and what he did for the city and the franchise. That is all that matters everything else is just noise.

Recent Super Bowl teams tell the story better than anything else. Look what the Bucs did with a fresh Leonard Fornette in the postseason. Ten million dollars in two running backs and they have their second championship trophy secured. But if you talk about this too loud around here folks get emotional.

Need to build a better culture. Losing the way they did last night is a great way to deter higher tier free agents from signing here. Unless you throw them a whole bank vault like Gordon Hayward and we see the returns of that move aren't looking so hot.

If your goal is to shift from a joke franchise to building a respectable contender then players like Cody Zeller need to be shown the door. I would not be in any rush to hand out new contracts like candy to anyone after the showing last night. When players show you they are distinctly not clutch and then proceed to lay their biggest egg of the season in the most consequential game of the season it is time to either look at the coach the culture of the team or the overall roster. You do not just pick up and reset like nothing happened. Things need to be shaken up.

@Klepto2klub you pooing posts over these bums who just got blown out on national television ? Some weirdos out here.

So what I'm reading is Michael Jordan or whomever is pushing these hires needs to get out of the process. Two coaches who mirror each other hired back to back. No more assistant hires. Bring in a real head coach with experience and build this roster up with a real center. I cannot watch Cody Zeller and Biz suck ass anymore.
-
All this talk about coaching but we saw this with Clifford too. Maybe Borrego needs to go but you cannot absolve the players for this abysmal effort. These aren't janitors these are the big leagues.
-
Gordon Hayward is who he is we won't be able to count on him when he's needed most. The only path forward is to shed these washed up bench players in starting roles. Nobody cares how nice somebody is or how liked they are. Play better or gtfo.

Everything should be evaluated after tonight. This is Bobcats basketball plain and simple. Yuck.

This is paper bags on heads ugly.

Brother we're talking about Cam Newton here. The man who came into the league a national champion with a cannon for an arm throwing for 400 yards in back to back starts in a lockout year. In a league where now more and more quarterbacks are airing it out. Yet he only threw for 2600 yards and registered the lowest passing yards per game of his career by a very noticeable margin. The arm strength he once had has not lasted a season since what 2016 or 2017? You don't have to like it or be happy about it but the truth is right in front of you.
-
We hear that most years though don't we? The hype is always there. There was the too close to call dilemma of 2011. You just never know. Recent super bowl winning quarterbacks like Patrick Mahomes and Russell Wilson have had a softening effect on some really ugly qb classes the last twenty years or so.
-
Let us hope he is right. I don't care who our quarterback is as long as we are no longer the divisional doormat I'm tired of seeing our rivals get the best of us.
-
The criticism of any athlete being on social media doesn't add up. Our own #22 has been all over it making the rounds with his significant other living it up and nobody is making snide remarks. One thing I will say for Newton is he is authentic in striving to spread a positive mentality in an online world that thrives on negativity.

I will happily put on my #1 jersey and cheer loudly for the Patriots to lose. No sympathy for a modern dynasty and their fans are garbage.

Less interesting more random I suppose.

If Sam Darnold proves to not be the answer in 2021 there will be another qb drafted anyway. I also wanted Fields but he is hardly the only possible answer in our future.
-
I'll have to see one winning season before I think about multiple in a row. This level of optimism wasn't quite as high last year but it was still there. You have to have hope but don't set yourself up for heartbreak. There should be little doubt about the defense making strides but this all hinges on the offensive line not being a disaster and limiting turnovers and correcting redzone inefficiency. Good thing we aren't banking on a draft bust having a career year with only two failed qb's waiting behind him. More than that our offensive coordinator must do better to put the starting quarterback in the best position in different game situations. Lost in the hype is he didn't always do favors for the last starter with some of the untimely calls and running down the play clock. Hopefully this will be addressed and corrected if not the same issues will rear their head especially with a new quarterback acclimating to a different offense.
-
Here's to hoping he lives up to the hype and then some. If he makes life difficult for the quarterbacks and receivers in our division I will have no complaints. If there were ever a worthy test for a rookie right out of the gate this will be it. Trial by fire.
-
Interesting fact. He will be 33 when the season begins. The same age as Jared Allen when Carolina acquired him.
-
Reality isn't an opinion. Any suggestion otherwise sounds like the ramblings of a certain someone who deals in alternative facts.

I'm on the fence. I am a fan of Devonte but those missed three pointers the past two games at the end are going to linger for awhile. If you want to be the guy you have to make them count. We let Kemba walk and he made countless clutch baskets for us but we never won anything of meaning I'm not going to hand anyone anything just for being a fan favorite.
