Telling people to go root for another team over a discussion about quarterback styles is making things personal. You have made multiple posts about how you dislike running quarterbacks it's pretty clear you have some bias on the matter. You're welcome to your opinion but others are also free to call it as they see it. I've made my position as clear as possible I want a winning quarterback. I'm not in a position to be overly picky either I'll welcome a winner plain and simple whereas you seem to think you are going to the store to pick one out. It doesn't work that way if one falls in our lap and does not check all your boxes but wins that's all that matters

That's your opinion that's fine. Seems like there is something a little deeper at play with you on this issue but that's up to you to reconcile with yourself. I'm not going anywhere been a fan since I was a kid. I'll take any quarterback who will make us a competitive franchise again I don't care about labels or what style you want to shoehorn him into. I hope we have that guy now but if we don't next man up again and again and again until we find him. No sob stories we want to win. Simple as that.

Bizarre to see Panthers fans ragging on Lamar while we sit at or near the bottom of our own division and banking our season on other bad teams failures. Yeah man it must really suck to be the Ravens

If you have NBA TV, Hornets summer team is on at 6 tonight.

That Kai dunk is the energy this team needs. James B and Gelo have the touch. Things are looking up if we can solidify center. -
What culture? 7 winning seasons in 25 years is that the culture you're talking about? The Panthers have to get the right quarterback and actually protect him. While you're yelling about players no longer on the roster Carolina has started the likes of Kyle Allen Teddy Bridgewater and now a reclamation project from the Jets of all places while still not showing much concern for the offensive line. Focus on the now and that begins by not repeating the same mistakes of the past.

This is supposed to be light hearted and goofing around by DJ. But if it is an actual question of how I feel about it my first and only response is win some games compete in the division and change it then you'll see plenty of Panthers jerseys

I don't agree with questioning Darnold's work ethic based on nothing. I haven't seen or heard anything to call it into question. As for Fields it's beginning to look like another rinse repeat story with some folks and how they have always judged and treated a dual threat qb. For their sake the kid better be mediocre like they are predicting.

The life of a small market team my friend. I'll take any improvement that's available but none will be without flaws.

Terry is a proven scorer with the game on the line I can't see them moving him unless it brings us another star to solidify a weak position. But I am all in on our attempts to improve we have to maximize the pieces around Melo now.

Carolina Panthers Training Camp - Thursday Thread
frankw replied to Zod's topic in Carolina Panthers
I've been concerned about the oline since Jordan Gross called it quits my guy. It's been our bugaboo for years we are full on groundhog day now this far in. If you have read my posts you would know my take on the pros and cons of Sam Darnold. Good arm good scrambling ability can make the throws the question is how well will he protect the ball/limit turnovers and can we protect him. That's the rub -
Nobody knows if it was the best move in August. We will have answers in the fall and hopefully that means Sam is balling out.

Carolina Panthers are STILL interested in Deshaun Watson

This was an oft used reason for signing a running back to a 64 million dollar contract despite having no starting qb to speak of. Some of ya'll stay moving goal posts. -

Something on your mind Mr. Kyle Allen superfan? I've perused the thread a few times. Happy to see the offense clicking as they should. Still hoping this oline holds. -
Madden 22 ranks panthers second worst team in the league
frankw replied to micnificent28's topic in Carolina Panthers
I could argue a few slots higher but the Panthers have finished 3rd and 4th in the division the last two years and they replaced Bridgewater with Sam Darnold. They are underrating several individual players on our roster but the team rating really isn't all that far off. Sucks but that's what happens when you fall into the cellar. We have to earn respect. -
Carolina Panthers Training Camp - Wednesday Thread

If they actually watched the team play last year and said not to worry about it they are either confused or just homers. There looks to be a little bit of both going on around here but it is still August. -
We never had a chance to draft "life after football" Trevor Lawrence anyway why is he even relevant here? I hope the Jags fall apart like they always do fug em.

Carolina Panthers are STILL interested in Deshaun Watson
frankw replied to Zod's topic in Carolina Panthers
With a situation like this whispers and speculation and league sources are all there is. Has anyone from any team front office given a public indication they are pursuing Watson? The most I've seen recently is Joe Ellis with the Broncos and all he said was that he can't comment on a player under contract from another team. Nobody wants the league on their back over tampering. -

"One of the unfortunate consistencies of linebacker Denzel Perryman’s career has been injuries. Chest, shoulder, hamstring, knee, ankle, hamstring again, a variety of other knee injuries and back. Just to get a taste of it. In his six seasons with the Chargers organization, Perryman played in 69 of a potential 96 regular-season games. He missed an average of 4.5 games per season." https://www.charlotteobserver.com/sports/nfl/carolina-panthers/article250211125.html -
He did though. Do you forget the constant hand wringing about him being a sore loser when he first got here? What was the Panthers recent culture to that point other than the worst playoff meltdown in years followed by Jimmy Clausen? Now losing is no biggie again. But we were more relevant and actually competitive within the division more often than not. The one good season followed by a disappointing season formula was as much due to poor management as it was poor coaching and poor execution. As much flack as Hurney rightfully received Gettleman may have actually been worse from a full picture. Wasted first rounders letting talent walk out the door and then orchestrating the worst free agency signing in franchise history all in the midst of a closing window with a championship core still in place. Then Hurney came back and only exacerbated existing issues. Cam Newton finally breaking down physically was just the final straw but it all began with mismanagement. The blunders sunk us.

He's from the QC

We also saw the flip side to that any time our last franchise quarterback had a bad pass or lost a game. Welcome to sports.

No matter how triggered some may get by it eyes will be directed toward him as the season progresses if Carolina doesn't appear to be trending upward in the fall. That's sports baby!
