Wailing for pages about the offensive coordinator but the second someone suggests the quarterback actually shares responsibility for giving the ball to the other team it's time to go on the attack. Sounds like a great recipe to keep this franchise stuck at only 7 winning seasons.

We lost last week because our quarterback threw multiple passes to defenders right in the numbers. Not Joe Brady. Not Matt Rhule. Not Scott Fitterer. Not Robby Anderson. Not Adam Gase. Sam Darnold.

In my opinion Teddy B is doing better in Denver bc they have pieces that fit his skillset better. Actually one of the bright spots from Teddy's time here was his mobility. He was quite good. Of course he had some gaffes like fumbling just as Sam has but he made the oline look decent. It was the short passes that we were not going to win with against better teams though. The lack of any semblance of a deep pass from our offense isn't helping matters with Sam getting beaten up. These teams watch film and they know we aren't connecting on those so they really aren't at all scared and with talent like Moore and Anderson back there that's a shame. It all goes back to Rhule and Fitterers gamble with the oline the buck stops with them. It was never going to improve overnight but it could have been more manageable.

Blah blah blah it isn't the sbblue huddle it's the carolinahuddle get over yourself snowflake.

I hope it isn't the case I really do. Sam has taken a beating from the media and fans this week I have no ill will toward him and I like him on a personal level. You know him better than some others from his NY days. But looking back at the offseason and our training camp one thought is common for me. We should have made an effort to have actual competition at quarterback instead of handing Sam the keys without having earned anything yet. There were other quarterbacks we could have brought in Minshew for example. Competition is good. Still I hope Sam can be the guy. That poster above you is not being rational. They have barbs and high standards for a coach but not the most important player on our team who has the ball in his hands when the chips are down. That's not consistency. That's not going to win us games. We need to raise the bar for everyone. The qb must play better receivers must do their jobs and the coaches must put them all in better positions to succeed. It's quite simple.

We weren't going to win with checkdowns and Teddy was the anti-clutch. The idea of acquiring a quarterback with a stronger arm made sense but unfortunately Rhule is seeing it isn't likely they will be able to coach those costly interceptions out of Sam Darnold. I figured he would have some turnovers but these glimpses of Jets Sam could very well just be who he is and will remain. Joe Brady was always a temporary solution for oc most of us figured he would be off to a new job within 2 seasons but what it boils down to is he was brought in by Rhule and they have spoken at length about their vision which they share so if we are giving Brady the daggers now it makes no sense to give Rhule a pass. The biggest hindrance for our success is the gambling with the oline and the qb's we have chosen to hitch our wagon to. I am concerned this regime cannot identify the right player in both of the aforementioned position groups. We shall see.

5 turnovers in two games is a problem. He needs multiple big get right games the next couple of weeks to wash away the stain of the Eagles game. Idk what your standard is for a Panthers quarterback but that was one of the worst I've seen in years. Are you wanting another franchise qb or another Kyle Allen? I don't understand some of our fans it's like you have Stockholm syndrome. It's okay to expect better than league worst performances.

CMC trending the wrong direction? Not practicing today...
frankw replied to SgtJoo's topic in Carolina Panthers
Christian McCaffrey and Saquon Barkley are tough lessons to be learned. 24 and 25 years old. That window of average rb shelf life slams shut quick. Making your running back the highest paid at his position before knowing if you have a franchise qb isn't a smart idea. -
Panthers fans overthink things. Maybe Joe isn't that good and neither is Darnold. Gase didn't make Sam throw into triple coverage Sunday.
-
He might be seeing it but he didn't help matters he didn't try to move around even in better pockets and he blindly threw picks. They clearly made an effort to take the ball out of his hands at one point in the fourth quarter.

Too late now. Looking at cap hits he won't be going anywhere until minimum '23 for 12.8 million or '24 and that would be with 7.1 million in dead cap. -
NFLPA Smith want to look closer into hiring practices

This is where there will likely be some serious punishments we all know certain things have gone on behind the scenes for years. Whatever happens they deserve it. -
From whining to the mods about civility to posting cringy passive aggressive gifs comparing others to dogs. Nice.

We value OL we just don't value the right ones and we gamble thinking we are ok with the depth players we have and it is that which has blown up in our faces. If someone wants to be a mouthpiece for the Panthers mgmt that's fine but quit trying to dictate the conversation we can get these excuse laden takes from the Panthers website if we want them.

All this about the Saints game oline. That may as well have been months ago. Now teams have film they know our tendencies and our next upcoming opponents will not be without multiple players or coaches like the Saints were.

Robby is a good guy and a good teammate I don't think it's fair to look at it this deep for him but not Sam. The truth is simple. Robby needs to step up and catch throws and Sam needs to be more careful with the football and not throw into double or triple coverage. If these two get on the same page none of this tomfoolery matters. But the quarterback is the leader and he and all the receivers should be close knit this week.
-
As much as I would like to shuffle our way into an ok lineup with this group I just don't think it's going to happen we should've done more with the opportunity. We had the cap space. Now we are just hobbling toward the midway point of the season hoping we can maybe get to 8 wins if we are lucky and Sam doesn't continue to regress.

Everything with OP is cherry picked. There would be less said about the Erving signing if we had done more for the interior of the line. Paradis had been trending down since last season and Daley and Miller were always backups at best. When you also consider this is all with a quarterback with a history of questionable decisions with the football and trying to shake bust status it is easy to see now how we backed ourselves into this corner by assuming we could get by versus making sure. You can't look at this mess and walk away thinking we did our best. Especially when you consider this is what the Carolina Panthers have been dealing with for the better part of the last decade. It is only more of the same

I know it's preseason but James Borrego should be ashamed of himself. On twitter the Hornets didn't even post the final score

Joe has gotten a lot of flack over the years but credit to him for this. On the very first day of free agency too. Erving was said to have been surprised we offered him so much. That about sums it all up for me.
