  1. I'm a big DJ guy but he's gotta start bringing in those tough catches if he's going to develop into an elite receiver and be paid like one. Gotta help your qb.
  2. Yeah he's a rival and all but I've never heard anything bad about Ridley I hope he gets everything worked out.
  3. Who knows what the future holds but so far we've invested big in two cast offs from the Jets and that uhh isn't going so well so the skepticism around a draft bust from the Jaguars is understandable at least.
  4. He isn't returning but it isn't any worse than the Sam Darnold homers that still think he's going to magically turn into a franchise qb after being outperformed by Daniel Jones.
  5. We gave up three picks for a bust retread qb we have the highest paid back on ir and names like Marcus Mariota are now being floated as options down the line. What a pitiful sad state of affairs.
  6. Weird how we don't see any "I'm a Panthers fan not a McCaffrey fan" remarks.
  7. He can't be the most valuable player from the sideline unfortunately.
  8. Robby has been bad and if that continues he won't be here. But it's weird you have daggers out for him and not the leader of the offense who has been turning the ball over the same ugly ways he always has with the Jets and got bested last sunday by Daniel jones. Be consistent.
  9. We desperately need some confidence or swag on offense. Hard to accomplish when your qb throws to the other team more than his own though.
  10. That's valid. I took a look at their college numbers and though their rushing attempts are close McCaffrey still outpaced him by a large margin due to his receiving touches. He had 112 more touches and his yards from scrimmage were 5128 compared to 3876 for Henry. CMC actually had more receiving touchdowns than he did rushing. No doubt he was a versatile weapon which is why he went 8th. But where the Panthers sit today is they have to shift how they use him or what you see now is what you get. You also can't deny that most teams in the league have formidable offenses without making huge investments in the backfield or building around that position.
  11. He's been around tops in the league in touches the last couple of years. Based on history he's probably got 2 or 3 more years at this pace before the decline. The Titans are putting all their chips in now I can't blame them they could make a run with him like Marshawn Lynch. We've tried to use the same approach with McCaffrey but he just isn't built for it and he's already had mileage from back at Stanford. Odds are low this run of injuries is going to go in the other direction. It stinks but what can you do.
  12. Bad comparison. Davis wasn't one of the highest paid players on the team when those injuries happened. And McCaffrey has had an insane number of touches in college and the nfl that have led to this point. Even if you can convince yourself CMC will buck the trend you need only look at the history of the position and even his current peers. Gurley and Barkley. It sucks but the position is one that chews up and spits out players. Derrick Henry is doing his thing but he is rare and built differently.
  13. Well that's something positive at least. Now if only we can figure things out with the corner we gave up a third round pick for. It's time to begin seeing some returns on these moves in the coming weeks.
  14. We need to try to actually draft the next qb if we can't get Watson. The bringing back Cam talk hits in all the right feels but deep down you know how it's going to end just like going back to an ex. We'll always have those memories in the form of highlights.
  15. If we've already "re-engaged" multiple times you can hardly say that's the final nail. Saying now they weren't offering CMC seems like another face saving attempt. What I gather from this whole saga isn't anything particularly good. Our big decision makers seem to change course on a whim and if you look at the pattern of how they handled the situation with Newton and Bridgewater publicly this all fits with that dysfunction. It is what it is
  16. You are absurdly sensitive. CMC can't stay healthy. It's only a matter of time before the team faces options as they become more desperate for a quality quarterback. If this discussion cuts you that deep it may be best to avert your eyes.
  17. The writing has been on the wall. Some just refuse to see it because of their emotional attachment.
  18. Way too many cold shooting streaks out there it's finally catching up to us. Need Terry Rozier back.
  19. For us or our opponents? For the last month we've been the weekly get right game for four different teams two of which only had a single win at the time. NYG had been blown out by the Rams the week before and Daniel Jones had zero td's and 3 interceptions. And we got stomped by that team missing multiple starters. The team culture can't get much lower than that.
  20. He's always been turnover prone. He had 36 in 27 games at USC. That has clearly followed him to the nfl unfortunately and it is biting us here now. The connection to the fans isn't the issue taking care of the ball is.
  21. Eight turnovers in four games is a big part of the issue. If you've got a problem with that talk to Sam.
  22. We have visual evidence of his inability to see the field in the horrific interceptions he has thrown with time and other options. When was the last time he completed a deep pass? Week one?
