  1. Are you even reading your own posts? When we traded for him the first way I was able to cope with such a baffling move was to recognize his arm talent. Unfortunately I watched the game film of him when the chips were down and he had to score points from behind. He did nothing to change that in 2021. That's the question mark. Nothing in that regard has been answered. Even Baker Mayfield had a what some called miraculous game winning drive with the Rams barely a week after signing with them and then the next game he went right back to looking like he did here ie 🗑. It's called sample size. If folks like yourself haven't learned after Kyle Allen and the 3-0 start last season you never will.
  2. Sam is elite. Well who can argue with this? What a relief it is to know he has fully arrived.
  3. This the best you got? I'm thrilled for Foreman and Hubbard to be building the rapport they are together with our oline. It shows we will be able to plug whichever QB we deem to be the best option in the offseason behind this group and contend.
  4. Nothing is settled. If it's up to me there isn't anything any QB on this roster could do to prevent me from drafting another quarterback.
  5. It's called consistency. You think I don't notice you start posting again when Sam wins a few games? Some of you just don't show the same energy for different Panthers quarterbacks. PJ got downplayed when he won some games and inevitably fell back down to earth like people who were realistic about it expected. I didn't see your don't be hatin gifs then.
  6. Well that cuts both ways doesn't it? We all have seen the results when Darnold has threw more because he had to. Goff still put 21 points on the board. Darnold had a formidable run game do much of the heavy lifting. And again just a week ago I had people telling me that Trubisky didn't outplay Darnold because he too had a formidable rushing attack. Some of these responses are why Sam gets the rep he has around here. You guys make too big a deal out of even average results. We need more. And consistently against tougher competition. That's not a slight against Darnold or any other QB on our roster. It's just realism. Happy with the win though. Good talk.
  7. Definitely an option as a backup on the cheap if he's interested. He may have other opportunities though
  8. Different people have different standards. We don't agree. That's fine.
  9. Goff had twice as many attempts and outplayed Darnold who had 200 rushing yards to fall back on. I was told Trubisky didn't have to do much under similar circumstances last week when we lost to the Steelers. Sam just had to not mess up. That's good. I'm expecting a great deal more.
  10. We played the Lions. Let's see how he does the rest of the way.
  11. Sam is doing just enough to not screw this up for us. With a run game like this if we had a real QB we could easily be dropping 40 points on teams.
  12. I've been a lifelong Hornets fan but this is a shitstain move there's no shining this one up.
  13. And whatever this weird thing is with bringing up Fields because folks are correctly summarizing Darnold at this point in his career is perplexing. Darnold's ceiling in our offense is Fields floor. That's why people want to draft a QB in the first and shoot our shot. If you don't have an agenda this is not a difficult concept to grasp.
  14. Corral does deserve our support as a Panthers player we drafted but I would rather have two than one at this point. Increase our odds. It is fair to say that Matt faces a steep climb to become more than a backup at this point in time though. You have to acknowledge reality.
  15. You guys can make a hundred of these cope threads it won't stop us from drafting another quarterback.
  16. I guess it's okay to hope Matt Corral magically becomes a much better QB by next years training camp and I'd love to see it myself but it's unlikely. What is likely is we will be drafting another quarterback. If you aren't on board that's okay but it's happening with or without you that's the situation we find ourselves in. You have to keep taking your shots.
  17. What a delusional take. Reminds me of when Panthers fans tried to talk up Teddy Bridgewater early on. We keep circling back making the same rationalizations for the same bum QB's. It's Groundhog Day.
  18. Not a gauntlet but compared to us they have actually looked like contenders against real competition. They dragged the Vikings up and down the field in one of the most lopsided blowout losses of the season and they did that with Cooper Rush. We could barely muster 16 points against a declining Steelers team.
